I want me a Cj.
He was EVERYTHING!
Absolutely a sexy prince charming.

Lena Montgomery’s story was also perfect. It was everything I would have hoped for her.

After meeting Lena in the Sin Series I just knew there had to be another side to her. We had seen a fierce corporate side and her friendship with Van but WOW. Her own story was amazing.
She tried everything to push Cj away but he wouldn't budge and I freaking LOVED that.

This pairing was nothing short of PERFECT.

We cannot expect anything less from Aleatha.

You will always get a steamy beautiful connection with a fantastic couple. On top of that an epic suspense story you cannot look away from.

I am beginning to enjoy the reverse age-gap romance and Silver Lining was utterly fantastic.

Lovely story of love and money and can the two go together. Good characters with spicy scenes, which might be a bit much for some. There is an older woman, younger man theme which I guess is still somewhat an issue. (My partner and I share the same age difference and have been together for 28 years.). Enjoy!

My thanks to the author, Aleatha Romig, and the publisher, Romig Works, LLC, for my e copy of this novel. A #Goodreads Giveaway.

I thought this book was absolutely fantastic. Lena and CJ's story had me feeling all the Feels, basking in the heat, and kept me perched on the edge of my seat from the tension and suspense. There isn't enough. It's going to play with your heartstrings with the rich angst and many twists. What a great, great read. This is my freely posted, impartial review.

"You bring out another side of me."

Once again Alethea Romig has written a story that leads the reader to wonder what will happen next.

Silver Lining kept me in suspense and leaves me wanting to know who was stalking Lena Montgomery. Everyone is a suspect. I found it very hard to put down to do anything else. Written beautifully to keep you guessing where the story will go next and make you turn the pages to keep the journey moving at a fast pace with no lull time at all! I did not figure it out until the end. This was another of the author's edge-of-the-seat books which I have come to love. So clever how it came together at the end. And Lena proved to be one of my favorite heroines this author has written.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a very good story of intrigue and suspense masterfully crafted by Ms. Romig.

Lena Montgomery was a character in the Sin Series and she always remained in the back of my mind as someone who had a hidden back story and oh yes, she certainly does!
In Silver Lining Lena, a very strong and astute business woman, has a stalker, a threat playing out in the background. Her security team cannot find who is behind these acts against her. So she decides to take a vacation in Cancun. There she meets a young handsome man who makes her forget her worries, if only for 1 week. CJ wants more but Lena must return to “real life” and stops all communication.
The plot gets more outlandish and the people she thought were her support and protectors become questionable and Lena must reach out to someone she oddly trusts immensely.
Aleatha has written a great standalone story with a fabulous cast of players and shakers. I did not see that person as a suspect until near the end. Totally surprising, very entertaining, and a pleasure to read.

I love Aleatha's series but when she writes standalones, I just adore them. Very fast-paced, slick and evenly spaced, this thriller makes your pulse race and heart thump in anticipation throughout. And having a sexy swoon-worthy Hero Chandlerr "CJ" Thompson makes you mmmmoist too 😁
He is force-vacationing in Cancun.the beautul Vista not calming him a bit. He's feeling itchy and unmoored so he bumps into Lena Montgomery on the poolside.
( Lena we met in Red Sin) she's feeling accomplished and victorious after closing a 220 million dollar deal. But again like CJ, she's unaccustomed to relaxing and taking a break.
It's like they both were put there for a reason and sparks flew as high as the turquoise sky above!!

"The bear is king in the west, but take that same bear to the safari and” —I shake my head— “he’s up against tigers and lions.”

It's fate....or Aleatha who sets the stage for her most passu0ionate book to date. And some of teh sex scenes had me panting, seriously.
He's EVERYTHING I would want in a hero. He's suave, very intelligent, brainy, has swagger and charm. Most of all he takes the reins when needed, but can hand them over to Lena when she wants.
So a Hero who has mno false masculinity issues.
I love him!!

“It sounds to me like you’re a fighter, a survivor, and a winner. You’re a lioness who has had to kill to survive.”

Lena is workaholic too, dealing with matters left, right & center. She misses a family, her sister, and any human interaction cause she's a work machine.
Aleatha writes more out than she has every0r before. That makes the love connection between CJ & Lena one of yearning and craving. I was rooting for them throughout.
And obviously she can't help but write twists and turns in her stories and this one is a whopper!!.
Be prepared to jump CJ's bones, be inspired by Lena and then get a whiplash as secrets are revealed in the end.

Aleatha Romig returns with Lena Montgomery, Donovan Sherman's best friend from Red Sin, in Silver Lining as she is forced to deal with a stalker situation that ultimately leads her to the man of her dreams. Lena was such a multifaceted character—someone who was forced to become a strong and ruthless woman because of past events but she also had a side to her that was vulnerable and sweet as well. I also loved her chosen hero, Chandler John Thompson or CJ to close friends and family. He was devoted to Lena and completely perfect for her because he loved all of her sides. Their relationship was incredibly sexy, sweet, fun, and relaxing—something that Lena had been missing from her life for a very long time. Their one week in paradise left a deep and unforgettable impression for both of them.

"Everything I see in you. I wasn't looking, but now that you're here, you're too good to be true. You're everything I never knew I wanted."

Lena's story was suspenseful and completely romantic, something that I never expected from her. In Donovan and Julia's books, she was this formidable character who refused to let her past define her. Seeing Lena's vulnerability as she is forced to contend with her stalker, past, and self-worth was a beautiful and heartbreaking thing to witness. During her climb to the top, she made many enemies and unethical decisions but never lost sight of her ambition. Her chance meeting with the confident, handsome, and playful CJ changed the course of her life. In addition to the romance, Aleatha simply excels at the suspense and twist behind Lena's dangerous stalker who had been tormenting her for some time. As Lena begins to question everyone and especially those around her, she looks to CJ as a safe haven and he certainly delivers.

"I don't need you. I want you. The want is strong enough to become a need. For you. Your laugh, your smile, your everything."

In the end, I loved this standalone title because Lena Montgomery has always been a character I was intrigued by. She was powerful but there was a vulnerability to her that made her truly special. Furthermore, Lena needed a man who was willing to take the reins but give it back to her as well—CJ does that and more. Despite their age difference, CJ was wise beyond his years and became Lena's rock during her time of need. Their love scenes were steamy and swoon-worthy as CJ persistently pursues Lena and chooses her over everything. Fans of Aleatha Romig and the Sin series will absolutely want to read this book because we're given a deeper dive into Lena's character and her meeting with the one after Donovan and Julia Sherman's story.

SCRUMPTIOUSLY ROMANTIC AND SUSPENSE-FUELED

“Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find all barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~~ Rumi

The opening quote about breaking down barriers to love is precisely what hunky CJ does to Lena’s hardened heart in this seductively romantic, reverse age-gap love story. Lena’s the last woman to succumb to love. So, thank you AR for that luscious quote, proving me wrong about her, and serving up scrumptious CJ on a silver platter as my new BBF. That boy is undeterred in his pursuit of Lena, and bang away at her heart he did … among other things, wink wink. CJ is Lena’s silver lining, and their love story is mine.

Although a standalone, you’ll get added context from reading the Sin series where Lena is connected to Van Sherman. As with Van and Julia, this romance was another one-of-a-kind for the author who’s been injecting more forced one-on-one intimacy into her couples within a suspense framework, and it works. Even better, CJ jumped straight from my dreams onto the page. You bet I’m a full-blown sucker for his muscles, blue eyes and long hair. Add the perks of him being an old soul, a true gentleman, a guy who pays attention to every detail about Lena, a consummate lover, embraces commitment, invents the word sincerity, dismisses their 12 year age diff, accepts her tortured past, and I’m a total goner. Who doesn’t want to be romanced by a romantic? But first, Lena needs some convincing …

Lena has enemies. Someone wants her dead. As death threats escalate from her elusive stalker, stressed-out Lena chucks her business suit for a bikini at a tropical resort where she and vacationer CJ, a genius entrepreneur, share a salivating meet-cute and a week of passion. Neither realizes that he has an uncanny connection to her latest corporate acquisition until the finished deal creates a surprise lovers’ reunion and Lena can’t bear to say goodbye again. Can Lena trust CJ with her life and heart?

Their love story had the perfect blend of sighworthy and toe-curling romance, imminent danger, and nail-biting suspense that AR is famous for. Everyone’s a potential suspect with CJ topping the list, even though Lena’s heart says otherwise. The stalker’s identity remains a web of mystery to the end, and creates distrust of everyone in Lena’s circle. The danger was always palpable, but the romantic focus wasn’t all sex. There isn’t much of it with some fade to black and after-the-fact-scenes that made me crave more sexy times. Lena’s a tough woman to crack, but CJ puts in the work and is magic at balancing her power and submission. She’s the lioness to his lion: “I’m the lion. You hunt … for me.” Oh, my. A pageturning romance with danger, if a bit rushed with explanations about the villain at the end after such a good build-up. I always look at reverse age gap where the woman is older as HFN because I'm a realistic skeptic about the longevity of it, but I believe in their love.

We first met Luna in the Sin Series. A loyal friend to Van who shared a past with him. She’s strong, independent, feisty, and beautiful. She’s a workaholic and isn’t interested in relationships. But when her life if being threatened, her security teams believes that she must disappear for a week and so she does. She meets a younger man and decides that for a week, she can indulge with this blue eyed stranger. CJ, has just sold his companies for millions and at his brother’s request he goes to Mexico to relax and unwind but he’s a workaholic and can’t get the sell off his mind until he sees a beautiful woman at the bar and then all bets are off.

Luna and CJ are a great couple. There is an 11 yr age difference but I never felt it. There are twists and turns between these two that made for a quick suspenseful read. I was surprised by the ending and glad that it wasn’t as expected.

A couple of disclosures before my review:
1) I’m not a fan of reverse age gap. Older woman/younger man just isn’t part of my reading preferences.
2) I’ve met Lena in the Sins Series, which was outstanding btw.
She intrigued me and piqued my interest.
Even though the series was not about her she just stood out to me.
So it was to my delight when Ms. Romig announced Lena was getting her story told.
I was exciting and couldn’t wait to read it. Then when I found out it was a reverse age gap I was a bit iffy. But I also didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to get to know Lena more in-depth.
Also let’s be real this is an Aleatha Romig book so I knew I was going to get plenty more than just an age gap story.
Lena Montgomery is an awe inspiring lady. She is soft looking but she’s hard core right down to her marrow.
Basically starting from nothing to becoming a powerhouse in the world of business acquisitions.
She is a force to be reckoned with in her field. In the Sin Series I saw her as cold and calculating.
What Lena is is a take no prisoners type when it comes to work. But getting to see the other side of her gave her balance. Seeing her vulnerable unsure part made me like her, not just admire her.
Now CJ I absolutely loved from the get go. There’s no way not to. He comes from an everyday type of family. Good parents with a house mortgage. They brought up their kids with values and integrity.
He worked hard to achieve his success. Nothing was handed to him.
CJ is thirty one, handsome, smart scratch that he’s a genius, humble and now a multimillionaire. He’s loyal and someone you’d be privileged to call a friend.
Lena and CJ were the perfect match for one another. They fit each other’s missing piece of the puzzle.
When they are together I couldn’t tell he was more that ten years her junior.
His intelligence gave him the maturity necessary for a lady like Lena.
He is also witty, confident and is a take charge type personality.
Lena is the same way, so I would have thought they would have clashed with each other.
But that was not the case. They found an equilibrium that was perfect.
I think the minute their eyes found each other their soul knew in some capacity that it was their soulmate they were looking at. The attraction was something neither got resist.
It’s sexy and sensual. Sizzling hot and burning up the pages.
But it was also a coming together of the heart and mind. They clicked on all levels.
And in keeping to her style the author gives her readers more that just a love story.
This is a spoiler free review so I’m not even going to give one clue as to what it is.
I will say it’s action packed, filled with suspense and my mind reeling and guessing who is doing what.
My only wish was that chapter forty had more details. I wanted more feelings more emotions and more in the thought process of this person, I’m being vague so I don’t inadvertently give something away.
Lena has met her match in CJ and he in hers and the age difference wasn’t even something I thought about willing I was reading because they are the perfect match.

Review:

“Give me the reins, Lena. I promise I’ll give them back.”

Lena is a powerful businesswoman who sees herself in a dangerous situation when a stalker starts threatening her life. Her team advises her to go away for a week. There she meets the handsome captivating Chandler and their connection is immediate. They decide to have a one-week fling away from real life. They couldn’t imagine destiny would bring them together again.

I really liked that the woman was the powerful older billionaire in this story. Also, I love everything about CJ, he is a charmer and it’s impossible not to be enchanted by him. Lena tried to resist, but she didn’t have a chance.

Finally, the suspenseful part of the story kept things exciting. Also, the chapters im the past added a romantic and hot atmosphere to it. I read the entire book in one sitting. My attention never wandered.

This book is everything I’ve ever wanted in Lena’s book. A huge shout to the author Aleatha for giving us this side of her. CJ (Chandler), her hero, is such a modern day young prince in my opinion. This age gap romance didn’t ever feel that the gap was a factor in the least. The story is so continuously moving at such an interesting pace, I didn’t even stop to think about their ages unless it was specifically mentioned in the book. Some unexpected twists really threw me for a loop making the reading intense and even more exciting to read. I loved this thrilling and suspenseful literary ride. I have to admit I did not see that ending coming. Well done yet again.

SILVER LINING is the first instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary adult BLURRED LINES erotic, romance series. This is forty-three year old, billionaire business woman Lena Montgomery, and thirty-one year old tech innovator CJ ‘Chandler’ Thompson’s story line.

NOTE: For followers of Aleatha Romig, SILVER LINING and the BLURRED LINES series is set in the same world as the author’s SIN series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (CJ and Lena) SILVER LINING follows in the wake of the sale of Architech to Montgomery Holdings. CJ and his brother Colton sold their business to Montgomery Holdings, and to celebrate CJ headed to Cancun where he would meet, and spend a glorious week, with a stranger, a woman who refuses to give more than the present. Upon his return, CJ would come face to face with the new owner of Architech, the woman with whom he was falling in love. Enter Lena Montgomery. All is not well in Lena’s life; Lena has a stalker, someone who is determined to make our heroine’s life miserable, someone who is desperate enough to pull CJ in the direct line of fire. What ensues is the building relationship between CJ and Lena, and the potential fall-out as Lena struggles with the power struggled between herself and CJ; and Lena’s stalker ups their attempts to destroy our story line heroine.

Lena battled between head and heart-CJ wanted to retain his position at Architech, a position that Lena claims would be a conflict of interested if our couple were to continue with their vacation affair. CJ is willing to step back or step-down but when the stalker gets up close and personal, CJ offers his protection to the woman that had stolen his heart.

The relationship between CJ and Lena begins as an island affair. One week together-no talk about lives back home, talk that would have revealed the reality of their situation, and their connection that runs deeper than sexual attraction. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to CJ’s brother Colton: Lena’s partner and advisor Jeremy Wilde, as well as her personal security Kelsey and Adam.

SILVER LINING is a story of betrayal and trust, vengeance and grief, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are energetic, charismatic and determined. My only complaint, the conflict resolution was too quick and too easy.

Every cloud has a silver lining

Have you been Aleatha'd?
Well, if you haven't, you need to be!

SILVER LINING is a standalone from Ms. Romig's Sin series, and part of the multi-author series Blurred Lines. Suspense, mystery, betrayal, lies, sizzling heat are meticulously woven though this story and make it impossible to put down. SLIVER LINING is a reverse age-gap, romantic suspense that had me sighing multiple times.

Lena Montgomery was first introduced as Donovan Sherman's friend and business associate/competitor in the Sin series. As the result of a heartbreaking past she has turned herself into a powerful, fierce businesswoman, owner of Montgomery Holdings. Lena has a vulnerable side, one she never allows others to see, but one that has emerged since she's found herself to be the target of a stalker. During her meteoric rise in business, the ruthlessness she has displayed has made her many enemies, but who wants to terrify her, play games with her, kill her?

Chandler "CJ" Thompson is a young successful, tech savvy inventor. Along with his brother, Colton, he has just sold their business, Architech. From a working-class background CJ is now a multi-millionaire, he's now feeling lost, no longer driven, he has regrets about selling Architech. CJ is thirty-one, but wise for his age, a genius with numbers, a gentleman, and did I mention he is shockingly good looking and sexy.

A chance meeting at a resort in Cancun sees Lena and CJ find a friendship that neither expected. It was only meant to last one week, two strangers enjoying each other. CJ allows Lena to be the strong woman she has become, but he also allows her to give herself over to him, inviting him to be the one in control. Together they share passion, truths, but also keep their 'real' selves a secret. The fact that Lena is twelve years his senior does not bother CJ, nor do the revelations Lena shares of her past. They are perfect together ... but 'real' life beckons.

SILVER LINING is the perfect mix of romance and suspense. With quite a few twists and turns I was kept glued to the pages. The mystery behind the stalker's identity had me making multiple guesses, all of which were wrong until one certain event gave it away (for me). Once again Aleatha held me spellbound, and showed that every cloud does indeed have a silver lining ... even a blue flame.

Another highly recommended read from Aleatha.
However, do yourself a favour and read the Sin series just to get a little more background on Lena.

Silver Lining is a reverse age gap compelling story that I couldn't put down for anything. We met Lena in the Sin series, and I was always intrigued by her despite the cold exterior so I'm glad we got to really know her. She's a strong, ruthless workaholic heroine who doesn't really have a life, but she's super successful that's for sure. Lena has a stalker, and said stalker is escalating so her security team talks her into a vacation at a tropical resort, and this is where she comes face to face with our hero, Chandler aka CJ, who is younger than her. He's also a workaholic forced to take a vacation, and he's not staying away from work until he comes face to face with Lena. The sparks are flying, and they decide to just have a week of sexy times, but when that week is up, Lena is done, or is she?! Turns out she'll come across CJ in the workplace, and that stalker is really turning up the heat, so CJ is going to protect her at all costs because there's definitely something more between them. This story had it all, the twists coming in hot as I tried to guess who is in the shadows waiting, heat, angst for days, a sexy hero & and multifaceted heroine who is more than meets the eye so yeah, another perfect read by Aleatha Romig that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

"Silver Lining" is a suspenseful, action-packed and steamy story that I had to read when it was announced that Lena from the "Sin" series was getting her own story.

Someone is after Lena Montgomery, and they are doing whatever they can to scare her. When her security team suggests that she go on vacation while they figure out who it is, she meets a man that she has an instant connection with. Chandler, AKA CJ, is on vacation to get away as well. The two spend an incredible week together but part ways after. But when Lena's company purchases an up-and-coming tech company, CJ is the owner. But someone is still after Lena and CJ vows to help and protect her.

Lena was an instant favorite from the "Sin" series, and I could not put down her story. Aleatha Romig is amazing at writing stories with action, suspense and crazy plot twists that you don't see coming. Lena is smart, independent and not afraid to stand up for herself. Her past is tough but to come through all of that and be who she is so admirable. I liked CJ from the moment he came into the story, and you could tell he was a genuine guy from the beginning. He was the perfect balance for Lena and helped her relax and just be a woman, not a trailblazing CEO who must be “on” at all times. I love an age-gap romance and it made me happy that Lena was older than CJ. These two were great together and I loved their story.

If you’re read the Sin series then you have had a little introduction to Lena. However, it isn’t necessary to read prior to this one.

Lena is a BA business woman. While escaping her life, on vacation she meets a handsome stranger, CJ. The second the two of them meet there is a connection there and insane amounts of chemistry. Why not have a vacation fling and enjoy the time they have in paradise together. However, neither of them are expecting to cross paths again.

I love Lena and CJ, as individuals and as a couple. There is so much chemistry and passion between them. I love that CJ helped Lena relax and have some fun, but also was protective of her. Plus, I love that he knocked down all her walls and wanted to be there and support her through everything.

If you’re looking for a reverse age gap, romantic suspense this is one to check out.

Romance, mystery, danger, and intrigue... my favorite! It has it all, so fasten your seat belts and get ready for a wild ride with surprise, twists. and turns! It is a sexy, steamy, suspenseful, and intriguing reverse age-gap, romance that leaves you wanting more. The unique and intriguing plot makes this unputdownable and a must-read. You'll love the strong female lead character, Lena. CJ is her polar opposite but they crazy explosive chemistry and he is just what she needs. But can Lena trust this complete stranger? You need to get your hands on this now and find out. Have you been Aleatha'd??? No one does it like Aleatha and she proves that in Silver Lining.

So good!
I was hooked immediately!
Lena was a character in another series that was very curious about. I wanted to know more about her.
This story filled in some blanks. She's not at all who I thought she was.
She is strong and independent (I knew that) but I saw another side of her a soft side.
CJ brought this out of her.
He taught her it was OK to lean on someone and he became her rock.
Loved the reverse age gap.
So glad Aleatha Romig gave this character a book.

I'm a huge fan of Age gap. We rarely get one where it's the woman who is older and the man younger, so this was a treat.

We first meet Lena in Red Sin, book one in the Sin series. She made appearances throughout the rest of the series and I wasn't quite sure how I felt about her. Now, after reading her book, I've seen a whole new side to her. Still, a badass when it comes to business, but when Lena meets CJ, he starts breaking down the walls that she's hidden behind for years.

Lots of suspense and steam. Great chemistry between CJ and Lena. I love the mystery that keeps you guessing.
As this is a standalone book, you don't have to read the Sin series in order to enjoy this book, but I recommend that you do. It will give you extra context into Lena and her backstory.
I didn't enjoy it as much as Van and Julia, but still a great read, and would definitely recommend it!

4.5 – 4.75 STARS

Fans of Aleatha Romig’s Sin Series were first introduced to THE Lena Montgomery as being an integral part of Donovan Sherman’s personal history and professional backstory. Now, in Silver Lining, Lena takes top billing when she stars in her very own forbidden romance. But not to be outdone by Van and his tumultuous courtship of his young bride Julia, Lena has her own age-gap thing going on but in reverse, along with an added element of danger thrown into the mix.

While incognito at an elite, all-inclusive Mexican resort where she’s seeking refuge from a sinister stalker, Lena loses herself in a romantic tryst with a man 12 years her junior, known to her only as CJ. But as Lena soon discovers, she can’t escape the threat that continues to hover near, nor can she escape the only man she has ever given her heart to and the only man who refuses to give it back.

“Silver Lining” is a standalone novel, uniquely different from any of the other Aleatha Romig’s books I’ve read. But that’s not to say that it isn’t equally enthralling. In fact, it’s a compelling, edge-of-your-seat, steamy romantic suspense that I was hard-pressed to put down. If you loved Van and Julia’s explosive, HEA journey, you won’t want to miss out on Lena and CJ’s!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Silver Lining by Aleatha Romig is the first book in her new series, Blurred Lines. It’s a spinoff of her Sin series. This installment gives us the story of Lena Montgomery. A woman who fought hard to make her mark in the business world and has become a force to reckon with. In this reverse age gap romance, Romig penned an engaging and suspenseful story. A story which shows that love sees beyond our imperfections and accepts us, flaws and all.

Lena Montgomery has taken the business world by storm. She pulled herself out of a position of weakness into one of power and she makes apologies. A hardworking woman with no intention of slowing down and who had no interest in long-term romantic entanglements. Then came the unexpected entrance of Chandler Thompson, aka CJ, into her life. Soon Lena is breaking her own rules and blurring the lines with the handsome hunk twelve years her junior.

Lena Montgomery first appeared in the Sin series and since then, her character intrigued me. I wanted to know what drove her and the events in her past that helped to shape her. Silver Lining delivered all that and more. Lena is a strong, confident and intelligent woman. On the surface, she appears cold and calculating. However, persons who have the privilege to dig deeper will discover that beneath the cold and calm exterior lay a vulnerable and self-doubting individual. These traits came to light in Silver Lining.

One cannot help but to like Chandler. He knows what he wants and will fight tooth and nail to achieve it. He is highly intelligent, and it is this intelligence which aided him to achieve success. It was this very success that place him in Lena’s path. Chandler maybe 12 years younger, but one could never tell. His level of maturity, coupled with his intelligence, made him the perfect match for a woman like Lena. He helped her to recognise that she was more that her past. He wanted to be with her and he was determined to prove to her she deserved love.

Leana and Chandler shared an undeniable chemistry. They were in tune with each other. Several times she tried pushing him away, but when it mattered most, she trusted him to keep her safe. I love how she ignored the attempts of others to cast doubt in her mind about his character.

In addition to the romance, readers are treated to some suspenseful moments. A situation which leads to rapid page turning and sessions of guessing who is behind the nefarious activities. For a moment, I thought I had my finger on the pulse of the whole situation, but I guessed wrong. I was close to an extent, but I was off in the villain’s identity. I enjoyed this aspect of the story. However, its closure was abrupt and lacked some key elements, which left me pondering a few things.

Silver Lining provided a stunning start to the Blurred Lines series, and I look forward to see what more Romig has in store for her fans. Fans of passionate age gap romance served with suspense will want to pick up this latest offering Romig. Not to be missed.

The perfect blend of seductive surprise romance and suspenseful edgy crime mystery.

A series by this author guarantees happy reading, but a full length standalone is something rare and fantabulicious to behold.
This is a unique and gripping reverse age gap, work-ish romance crime thriller.
Simply put… it had it ALL!!
Sinfully delicious heat and whodunnit moments that had my heart bursting, I could not put this read down until the end!
In this story, the author made an interesting choice in female heroine with Lena Montgomery. I had previously met her as a secondary character and best friend of super alpha mystery man Donovan Sherman in the sin series. She’s pure ruthless alpha female, unapologetically fierce, and a real go getter in the board room and the bed room. With a painful past, she is predator and in control. When she takes an impromptu vacation and meets a mysterious younger guy, she decides to let insta-lust takeover. It was supposed to be fun, sensuous repeat and go.
However, when you get the Aleatha factor, expect the unexpected. Fasten your seatbelt and get ready for a twisted, fast paced thrill ride full of surprises. The object of her attention is a certain CJ who is perfectly created. Despite his 10 year difference sexy surfer vibe, there is so much more to him and Lena may have just met her match. He brings out a side of het that made her so much more likable and reliable.
Who’s prey and who’s predator?
Depends on where when and why!
Except, none of that matters because danger is chasing her and a stalker is becoming bolder and scarier in his/her quest.

After and all the unexplainable and chilling things things happening to her, she can’t let her guard down and EVERYONE is a suspect.
Oh…the built up, the suspense, the trying to figure out who is this stalker and why made this read a pure joy to read!
4.5 stars!

📚Story Summary and Review📚
Hiding out for her safety billionaire boss bitch Lena spends an unforgettable week in paradise with a beautiful man named CJ. Sparks fly and they have an instant connection, but Lena isn’t looking to get involved, especially when danger is still lurking.

Back to the real world and to the boardroom, Lena is surprised to find someone from her past now entangled with her future, but the danger is increasing and she isn’t sure who to trust.

This was a quick read and I enjoyed it! I am usually pretty good at picking out some nuggets in a books’ foreshadow, but this one kept me guessing until the end. I enjoy a billionaire romance and although the MMC wasn’t doing bad himself, Lena was really the ruthless beast of the boardroom in this one, which I loved!

If a strong billionaire FMC, one week vacation vibes, suspense, steamy scenes, and a protective MMC are your thing, you’ll enjoy spending a few hours in Lena and CJs story!

🎧❤️Audiobook Review❤️🎧
Ms. Maxine Mitchell was great as Lena and brought her skill and flare to her character. She has a wide range and a great male voice. Connor Crais is one of my favorite male narrators and was a fantastic CJ. He’s such a talented storyteller bringing so much finesse and life to his characters. I always know I’ll enjoy the audiobook when I see either of these names, and this tried and trusty duo did not disappoint!

**These are my own honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily. I purchased this audiobook.

4.5 stars

Having first met Lena in the Sin series (or at least that's where I met her), I was drawn to her. When the Sin series ended I found myself wishing she would get her story told. Low and behold, Aleatha already had that in the works.

Lena is just as fierce, determined, and hardworking as she came across in Van and Julia's story. While a lot of that might be due to a mask being firmly in place, we did get to see that slip on occasion, and see the passionate woman that she is behind the scenes. Her life isn't easy by any means. Especially since someone is targeting her. But who could it be? Logan Butler automatically comes to mind, but if not him, then who?

It is on a quick vacation that Lena meets CJ. They agree not to exchange last names, or share anything about their lives outside of this resort. It's for the best as it's just a fling. Did trouble follow Lena to paradise though?

CJ, better known as Chandler, had recently sold the business that he owned with his brother. Now with little to do, it was time to take a vacation. The moment he spotted Lena, he knew he had to get to know her. He was drawn to her.

Their time spent with each other was just what they needed, but reality called. Surely they would never see each other again...

I loved their romance. I loved the suspense of who was out to get Lena, and my mind was going a mile a minute trying to solve that one. I loved that I was questioning every characters intentions. I enjoyed it when Van made an appearance. It was all so good.

5 He’s Her Blue Flame Stars!!

To say my anticipation for Lena’s story has been at an all time high would be putting it mildly. I’ve been absolutely fascinated by this strong and dynamic woman from the minute we met her in the Sin series. What I knew of her prior to this book is a woman that takes charge of every situation she’s in because she has to… and we learn so much about why she is the way she is in this book and it makes me have a whole new level of respect for her.

What we also get to see in this book is a vulnerable side to Lena. She sets off for Cancun for a week thanks to some tense moments happening and not only does she get away from it all, she meets the man who is her future. And this man, CJ, brings an entirely new side out in her. She’s tender, sweet and loving. It was wonderful to see her let her guard down and open herself up to what might be possible.

CJ and Lena are absolutely perfect for each other. Even given some of their differences. I think the fact that he’s younger than her allows him to truly accept all the different sides of Lena. But his love for her, also gentles her in ways that I honestly didn’t think was possible. And just because we see a different side of this woman, this book still has the right amount of suspense that I love about Aleatha Romig’s writing. This book is the perfect combination of emotions, feelings and intrigue. I was captivated from start to finish. If you haven’t read this book you’re truly missing out on a wonderful reading experience.

Lena & CJ meet when they both determine time away from real life is necessary and needed. Lena is the super powerful mogul who has just purchased a large company and is shopping its tech around to other companies, all the while a stalker is after her and is escalating. CJ is overworked & looking for his next venture when he decides to go on a self-imposed time out to get his head together. They meet by accident at an all-inclusive beach resort and promise to spend the next week together and moving on with their lives after the week is over. There is one catch, no real life shall impede on their week away from real life. I really enjoyed the age-gap trope, and the suspense is powerful and suitable for the story. The spice is next level hot, and you might need a bucket of ice to cool down after. A lovely take on every woman gets her man whether she is looking or not. Four stars due to many long speeches between the characters that got tiresome, fast. A romantic thriller with all the spice, thrill-rides and romance you like. Considering I have not read any of the previous Blurred Lines stories I did not feel lost in the timelines or character descriptions. I like when an author has crossover characters that lead you to their older writings. Special thanks to the Publisher, Romig Works & Goodreads for this giveaway win.

Reading the Sin series you get a glimpse of Lena Montgomery but in this story, we learn all about her and her life.
While Lena is all about work and building her company, someone wants to bring her down. So her friend and co-worker suggest she go on vacation. This is new territory for Lena until she meets CJ. The man that takes her mind off of her work and her troubles for a short time.
CJ and his brother have sold the business they built together, and now CJ is having second thoughts. His brother suggests he go on vacation. He is all up in his head that first day until he sees the goddess in the bikini. When he meets Lena, he wants to spend all his time with her.
CJ and Lena have a connection from their first meeting and it only grows from there. The relationship sizzles and gets hotter. The only problem is, Lena doesn't want to draw CJ into her problems.
This story is filled with suspense and love to overcome all of the obstacles put in their way. You will be drawn into the story wanting to know who or what is going on and why. You will not want to put your kindle/book down until the end.

Reverse age gap and suspense - yes please!!

I adored this story and had to finish as we neared the end! I haven't read any of the series this one is tied to, so this totally stands alone.

Lena meets CJ when they are both getting away from reality and business mergers. Lena is getting away from a lot more than that and CJ is the perfect distraction. But they both have to go back to reality after a week...or do they?

Fate plays a trick on both of them and that's when the story really takes off. Who is harassing Lena, will she give CJ a real chance, can CJ save her from...?!? Can't tell you without spoiling all the suspense.

This book was SO GOOD and delicious! I adored CJ and he's just the man for Lena who is fiercely strong and independent. Watching these two melt towards each other was SWOON!! And the suspense will keep you turning the page to figure it out! You may be surprised!

I'm so glad that I've been Aleatha'd once again!

I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
