Now that Hannah is no longer Cecelia’s student, it should be smooth sailing for the two of them. Unfortunately, that’s not always how life works.
Will declarations of love, their amazing chemistry, and meeting each other’s families be enough to sustain their relationship, or will vicious rumors tear them apart?

Erica Lee finished writing her first book, Dear Santa: I’m Gay, in December 2016. Erica currently lives in Pennsylvania with her wife, dog, chinchilla, and bunny. She spends her days working as an optometrist and her nights snuggled up on the couch with her furry family, binging on netflix or youtube.

This was a delightful little easy to read novella. It reminded me of a hallmark movie; a little bit of conflict to make it interesting but ultimately a very relaxed and generally just cute storyline. Being a sequel, this novella had the advantage of pre-existing characters and relationships so it was able to hit the ground running and build on what was already there. I love character development, so an ongoing series is exactly up my alley.
This novella was mostly just heartwarming scenes of the protagonist’s relationship getting more serious, which was simply delightful. As I said, a very fluffy read. There was a small 3rd act “conflict” but thankfully it was incredibly minor and resolved by some heartfelt love, support, and understanding. These two protagonists truly work well together.
The level of plot worked well for the short length of the novella. If this had been stretched into a full novel without adding more content it would have been dreadfully dull, but thankfully that’s not the case (and I’m sure if it was longer, more would have happened, the author knows their stuff!). I found the ending a little bit rushed which was surprising considering how short and slow the novella was up until that point. It wasn’t bad though, and I still overall enjoyed this a lot. Low 5-stars.
Another quickie but back to Hannah and Cecelia. It brought me back to the moment Australia's results came out about legalising gay marriages, and I love how Hannah went with it and asks Cece to marry her!

I really do feel like I’m getting to know these friends, although I do feel like this isn’t a group of six friends. This is book 4 and to me it seems like it’s about 2-3 friends and some other people they know… To me, the other characters up into this point really haven’t played that much of a role. And this is actually a second book about Hannah and CeCe. And let me tell you they get up to some interesting things.
I do have a very important question. Why in the world would you share every detail of your sex life with your grandma, and in a bit lesser detail with your mom? And why would granny or mommy be happy to hear this? This baffles me. I’m with CeCe 100%, it’s mortifying.
Disclaimer: I consider that to really understand what’s happening in this novelette you must read Forbidden Formula Preferably read all of the series in order.
Okay, so let’s consider that you already know what happened previously with this couple, Hannah and Cecelia. Starting from there, this novelette felt rushed. Yep! I’ve been very consistent in saying that until this point this series didn’t feel that way but for my surprise I didn’t find it problematic the reason I think it is that the characters of this story were developed in the novelette number 2, mentioned above, so when you start reading you already know half of their story, even more considering that you had the first introductory The Six Pack.
What I enjoyed the most? Real life, historical moments mentioned. I felt happy that it was brought. Very close to that, the development of other characters of the series, you never stop getting to know them, they are essential.
They started as a one night stand and then a forbidden relationship because Ceceilia is a college math professor and Hannah is a student. But now a year later and they are still together. It's time to meet families over the holidays and look forward to life after Hannah's gradation. Very cute. (Although Hannah needs to get a job.)
Life can be messy and beautiful. This is a story about just that.... life. Both Hannah and Cecelia are most definitely not looking for a girlfriend but life has a different plan. This is a story of meeting that one person that makes you feel complete, even when you least expect it! Well done!
This story just proved I never know exactly what to expect — in the best way. From the blurb I thought Hannah and Cecelia might start with things a little on the rocks. But no, it starts with a bang in quite the opposite way, really. That’s wasn’t what I expected when I sat down with a sandwich to start reading over lunch! From there, off to meet the… wait, what? To meet the grandmother whom Hannah apparently tells literally everything to? No filter, no holds barred? Didn’t see that coming, either. Then it turns out mom tells dad jokes?
I mean, on and on it goes. Once I’m convinced this is really just a long HEA then there is a bit of University drama? Hannah has a hidden layer of wisdom? Mackenzie dresses up? I… I have no words.
The thing is, it was a damn fun ride. Hannah and Cecelia and Grandma Shirley were all great. Kiera, of course, was awesome. I mean, all the friends were fun to see again. Sarah… you know when bathroom girl gets a name, we’ll be hearing more about her. I look forward to that installment!
The late-breaking events that revolve around a real-world decision were a perfect cap to the story, and Grandma Shirley had one more thing to do here that was just so sweet 🥲
I’m so happy for Hannah and Cecelia — and I’ll definitely be moving right on to the next installment.
When you meet the one who hears your heart forever is not long enough.
Hanna an Ceceilia have a relationship that started out in secret. Teacher and student is so not what either thought about. Hannah could not imagine how this amazing women could seem to see her soul. Ceceilia was holding them back because of her want of respect in her career. The holidays and meeting each others families turned a corner for them. So clearly they are good for each other. That kind of love is rare and beautiful. The six pack gets the best kind of addition. I look forward to book 5.
Here we are at book 4 and I am still enjoying this “Six Pack Series” These friends are just something else. Special. This book continues the story of Hannah and Cecilia. Together they take on meeting each other’s family. Hanging with friends during New Years in public and subsequently the rumors at school. Hannah graduates at the end of term and even though Cecilia is not teaching her anymore, there is still a certain reputation that Cecilia is trying to maintain. But their love for each other is deepening and in times of upheaval they need each other more. Erica Lee just keeps amazing me.
So, first of all, I'm greatly enjoying these books, and Hannah and Cecelia are adorable and awesome. But from the get, I've been a little disappointed on one front for them. We're constantly told about how kinky and wild they are in bed, yet every sex scene so far as been totally vanilla. I mean, sure, some super light role play/dirty talk, but beyond that? Nada. We get the vanilla part of their sex, then just when it sounds like it might get spicy, we fade to black. Why make them kinky at all if there's not going to be any actual kink in the book? Kink baiting I tell you. (Only half kidding here).
I love all these eclectic friends from the "Six Pack" series. Taking center stage in this Forever Formula are once again Hannah and Cecelia who are now going to meet each other's family. It's a giant step, right? These two families are warm and wonderful and make the reader feel like Cece and Hannah have a real chance at forever! I'm really looking forward to the next in the series!
The Professor and the Student are still very much in love. As they come closer to one year from meeting, Hannah invites CeCe to go home with her to meet her family. As they meet each other’s families and celebrate the New Year, Hannah and CeCe will have some bumps in the coming year to work through together. Happily ever after is a work in progress. Wonderful series.
Forever Formula is a continuation of the Six Pack series and more specifically a follow-up to Forbidden Formula Book 2 with Cecelia and Hannah exploring the next phases of their relationship. A lot of Hannah’s and by extension Cecelia’s friends join in at various points during the story and add to the dynamic. The storyline expands from 2012 into 2015 with a happy celebration at the end.
I love these "six pack" books, it just feels like one big family and I feel like I am a part of it. I literally feel myself being drawn in and to me that Isa real success. Keep writing your great stories Erica.
Not bad but also not my favorite. Hannah and Cece aren’t my fave’s so it wasn’t as good as the 3rd. I feel like we’ve had enough of them and I’m ready for the rest of the 6 pack to have some page time.
Great funny story. With. Very easy to follow plot. And I do love the character’s. The ending is kind of open, so I guess I will have to read the next book
This one is great. Hannah and Cecelia continue their adventures. Laughed out loud several times. Have re-read it several times. Easy to do since it is pretty short.
