This Means War: We Will Not Surrender Through Silence

Rate this book
This Means War is the urgent call to action by controversial social media firebrand, Pastor Greg Locke. Written to the American Church and Christian conservatives around the globe, the subtitle "We Will Not Surrender Through Silence" is just one of several revolutionary exhortations Locke presents to a world ripe for revival, and ready for WAR. The book is presented in four parts: Prophecy, Persecution, Preparation, & Proclamation. Endorsed by Charlie Kirk, Dinesh D'Souza, Graham Allen, and Roger Stone, this is not the typical theological text, but a book that brings the high call of Christ to light where Faith, Family, and Politics intersect -- no matter where you currently stand.

This is a guide book. It is written by Pastor Greg Locke whom is also my pastor at my church. So proud of this church for what it is doing to wake people up.

At the start of 2020, no one would have believed our churches would have closed--with pastors willingly barring the doors (at times even before the government compelled them to do so) and cutting people off from the lifeblood of their communities. Zoom can't fill the void of human-to-human services that churches provide and it surely can't substitute for the benefits of corporate worship.

Pastor Locke's book addresses four main areas in this text: PROPHECY (what the Bible says will happen in the last days and what we're seeing to confirm our arrival in End Times); PERSECUTION (how COVID has ushered in the wholesale persecution of Christians and the Church in America); PREPARATION (What's Happening and How We Should Respond); and finally, PROCLAMATION (You were made for such a time as this--stop cowering and speak up).

These days, if you find yourself asking, "Are we living in Communist China/Russia/Venezuela, or the Islamic Republic of Whatever, or Nazi Germany?" then this book is for you. All over the world, Christians are facing persecution that is a life or death matter. Here in America, we can't be bothered to fight for our Constitutional right to meet. Everyone from our pastors and priests down to our lackadaisical parishioners and our C&E's (Christmas and Easter attendees) and our "I'm spiritual but not religious" folks need to wake up. God is going to vomit us out of his mouth if we don't get some fight in our blood.

Pastor Locke uses sound Scriptural evidence to chastise milquetoast pastors who didn't so much as raise an objection to State takeover of our churches--and in many cases, abuses of power by the State.

This book is written not only for pastors but for all Christians. The American church has become lukewarm (check out the Church of Laodicea in the Book of Revelations for a warning against this). Pastor Locke's book is a blueprint for bringing the church back from blah to boiling with the Spirit. If you think 2020 has been bad, just wait...it's only a foretaste of what's to come. Don't say you haven't been warned. Pastor Greg Locke is a watchman on the wall.

Bigoted abusive crap

This book contains the worst kind of politicizing the Bible. The author constantly refers to passages that have nothing to do with his backwards ways of "explaining how things are". His intent is to get people riled up against the Black Lives Matter movement, against democrats, and really anyone who doesn't have the same kind of narrow-minded world view.

The fact that this book is being endorsed by more political commentators than pastors and preachers should say it all.

I encourage everyone to read this book as it really opens your eyes to all that is going on today and how we are living in the last days. Pastor Greg Locke is an amazing pastor and truly preaches and speaks the Word Of God!

Meh! There was a lot of bad eschatology and misuse of Scripture in this book. Because of that, I would not recommend this book to anyone who is serious about understanding the Bible’s message.

The chapters felt repetitive and kind of annoying. I appreciate Pastor Greg’s passion but sometimes his message had way too much sensationalism for me.

Part 1 was I mishandling of Matthew 23 and 24 on the Olivet discourse. And that was drudgery to get through.

Part 2 was is on the coming persecution on the church

Part 3 was on the importance of preparing yourself for revival

Part 4 was on the need for proclamation in these last days.

I’ll let you decide whether or not you want to read the book but for me I think your time could be better spent reading someone else.

I will say this, I believe Greg is a Brother in the Lord and extremely passionate about pleasing the Lord. He is grieved and rightly so about all that is taking place in our country. And I believe he rightly calls out Pastors and Christians who are Idly sitting on the sidelines.

The book gets better towards the end but not by much. There were several sections where I was fired up and encouraged to do some street preaching and to evangelize so I guess his desire for the book was accomplished on that end.

I was given this book as a gift and was thankful for it but I will not be returning that favor for someone else.

What an incredible and uplifting book. This book will make you feel uncomfortable in your faith and Pastor Locke doesn't sugar-coat anything. He says what he means and means what he says. I've visited his church a number of times, and each service is more fiery than the last one. He is true messenger for God on the mission for everyone to get right with the Lord because these world is full of distractions and temptations. I love how he gives snippets of the Bible from Mathew 24, the Book of Acts, Hebrews, Ezekiel 33 and 37 and ties it all together. It dares the reader to review those powerful books of the Bible. It is a desperation for revival and renewal of one's soul. Growing a backbone for God and his Word. Very inspiring, very informative. I felt the Pastor was speaking directly to me and to WAKE UP and be a WATCHWOMAN. It is my duty now to speak boldly for Jesus!

I love brother Greg, and I enjoy his videos and sermons. As far as book material I was hoping for more depth and less like a sermon. I enjoyed reading it - pretty easy and didn't take but a few days. Overall didn't say a whole lot more than things I have heard from videos and such. A couple of thongs I found new and interesting: his dream about the blue flames; his belief and prayer that God can and will send a world wide revival; his personal realization that he is no longer bound to think strictly according to his Baptist upbringing. This last point is an area that I too have been able to break through and see beyond the Baptist viewpoint, and that truly is a blessing!

Going to read it again and again with scripture right by my side

I couldnt put it down. I just found it because I watched the movie. It spoke soooo much biblical truth that most are afraid to hear. Lukewarm is not acceptable! God gave us a great commission and we need to be bold for His glory. On to the next book along with my scripture first. Thanks, Greg, your family and your church for being obedient!

Pastor Locke reminds me of the hellfire and brimstone preachers of my youth, growing up in the Bible Belt. The book reads as you might expect, like a series of sermons at a tent revival in Alabama during 1975.

Locke was one of many brave (but too few) souls who stood up against the unconstitutional mandates and government overreach during the COVID "crisis." For that he has my support, beyond his theology.
