At the start of 2020, no one would have believed our churches would have closed--with pastors willingly barring the doors (at times even before the government compelled them to do so) and cutting people off from the lifeblood of their communities. Zoom can't fill the void of human-to-human services that churches provide and it surely can't substitute for the benefits of corporate worship.
Pastor Locke's book addresses four main areas in this text: PROPHECY (what the Bible says will happen in the last days and what we're seeing to confirm our arrival in End Times); PERSECUTION (how COVID has ushered in the wholesale persecution of Christians and the Church in America); PREPARATION (What's Happening and How We Should Respond); and finally, PROCLAMATION (You were made for such a time as this--stop cowering and speak up).
These days, if you find yourself asking, "Are we living in Communist China/Russia/Venezuela, or the Islamic Republic of Whatever, or Nazi Germany?" then this book is for you. All over the world, Christians are facing persecution that is a life or death matter. Here in America, we can't be bothered to fight for our Constitutional right to meet. Everyone from our pastors and priests down to our lackadaisical parishioners and our C&E's (Christmas and Easter attendees) and our "I'm spiritual but not religious" folks need to wake up. God is going to vomit us out of his mouth if we don't get some fight in our blood.
Pastor Locke uses sound Scriptural evidence to chastise milquetoast pastors who didn't so much as raise an objection to State takeover of our churches--and in many cases, abuses of power by the State.
This book is written not only for pastors but for all Christians. The American church has become lukewarm (check out the Church of Laodicea in the Book of Revelations for a warning against this). Pastor Locke's book is a blueprint for bringing the church back from blah to boiling with the Spirit. If you think 2020 has been bad, just wait...it's only a foretaste of what's to come. Don't say you haven't been warned. Pastor Greg Locke is a watchman on the wall.
