برتی کثیف با این اینکه انصافاً اونقدر هم کثیف هم نبود من رو یاد مجموعهی رامونا که در کودکی به معنای واقعی کلمه عاشقش بودم میانداخت. ماجراجوییهایی یک بچهی کمی عجیب اما جالب که آتیش میسوزونه و خودش رو توی دردسر میاندازه. اما در این کتابهای جدید کودکان، آتش در حد شعلهی فندکه و دردسر هم خیلی کنترل شدهست. با بچهها در داستانهای قدیم مقایسه میکنم که گاهی رسماً به فنا میرفتن که به خواننده خوش بگذره. با این وجود، نمیخوام بگم که کتابهای قدیمی خوب بودند و اینها نیستند، فقط بسیار متفاوتند و این بد نیست
