Box of Sins Duet #1

Pandora's Hell

Rate this book
My name is Pandora. Welcome to my Hell.

When the seven deadly sins bring on the apocalypse, playing a sick and twisted game with the lives of those left on Earth, things go downhill quickly. One seriously annoyed woman gets stuck listening to the angels while they bitch up a storm about how she is meant to save the world. Not that they provide a manual for such a task.

To top it all off, there's a certain too-sexy-for-his-wings fallen angel, who happens to be a glorified pain in her ass, inconveniently shoved into her life.

Poor Pandora. She's not sure which is worse: The vampiric sinners out for her blood, or the too hot to resist alphahole fighting by her side.

Smutty goodness with a mythical retelling you've never seen before await in Pandora's Hell.

Pandora's Hell is book on in the Box of Sins duet and contains strong language and descriptive sexual situations. It is not suitable for young audiences. Reader discretion is advised. Please see the author's warning at the beginning of the book for details. Enjoy the chaos!

Wow. WOW!

As always, EJ Everette has written another masterpiece, and blown me completely away. I was glued to this book and every word and only stopped to send her a quick message about 75% in, and then a short time later, when I finished, we chatted. I couldn’t believe the ending. Had to speak to someone “in the know”. I needed time to collect myself. Recover… pick my jaw up off the floor. Had to think over what to say before coming here to write this review! It took me some time to gather the right words.

Prepare yourself when going in. While this book has EJ’s beautiful storytelling mastery and brilliant writing as her others all do, it is nothing like her other books. Main character Pandora is extremely sassy and witty like the others, but far more-so. Heed the warning at the start if you are sensitive. I am not and I truly loved the sarcasm, the foul language, the extreme steam (oh, the steam! It’s literally taken to new EJ heights!! This girl has not just Reyn who we meet at the start, but we learn about her late fiancé, and meet her new angelic interest Eli), and everything that comes along with it. There is violence - they are in the middle of a biblical war with the Big Sins, being based on the story of Pandora’s Box and all.

There is blood.
There is death.

There is Hope.

And… there is more to come! Phew! I forgot, when I got to “The End” and until my chat with EJ immediately following, that it’s just book 1. It’s a DUET! Please, write book 2 as fast as you wrote book 1, because I physically NEED to know what comes next, EJ! I need this one more than the other series, which I also desperately need!

I received an ARC copy from EJ Everette, and this is my honest feedback!

HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN!! AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!!
This book has absolutely everything in it you could want! Love, angst, lust, action, and an absolutely badass, completely hilarious heroine!
Pandora Perry is just your average, kickass woman, fighting to stay alive in a post-apocalyptic world. Dreams of Hope keep her up at night and the Sins keep her busy during the day. She meets the fallen and her whole world is turned upside down. Again. But nothing keeps Pandora Perry from going. Not even the grumpy old men!
Pandora has to be one of the most hilarious characters I've ever read, which is hard to accomplish when the world has gone to hell in a hand-basket, but EJ pulled it off beautifully! Not to mention the shmexy times!! Whew! There was one scene that made me want to wake up the hubby! Don't worry, you'll know the one I'm talking about when you read it. 😉
But prepare yourself - EJ wouldn't be EJ if she didn't leave us with a cliffy that made us feel stabby, and let me tell you, this one damn near had me getting in my car and driving the 5.5 hours to her house just to yell at her to her face! 🤣 You will absolutely LOVE this book!! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Kicks and screams. EJ!!! I’m coming for you I swear. Deep breath. Pandora is a bad ass, who talks back, and tends to bite off more than she can chew. She reminds me a lot of our lovely diabolical writer. Wink.

This book is steamy, written in a dystopian world where hell and the 7 deadly sins have taken over to wreak havoc and kill humans as they please or take them over as their minions. The Sins are hot as hell, but they’re demons so no bad ha.

Pandora has been living her life on a revenge kick to end the sins. She has lost everyone that she loves, and she is a beacon for the Sins. They can sense her. There is also so much more than meets the eye, and in a sense she is being used by destiny. Pandora has always wants to live her own life, on her terms, so when a sexy Angel comes into her life, she really just wants to give him some choice words and tell him where to go. Slowly her choices are taken from her, and we are taken for one hell of a ride, and then sailing off a mother flipping CLIFF! I seriously need to next book ASAP !

Pandora’s Hell is the first of a duet by EJ Everette and hells to the yes! I absolutely loved this sassy strong FMC Pandora who wasn’t scared to speak her thoughts! This is an post apocalypse world where the Seven Sins have taken over the world infecting people with their traits in to them is one big game. It’s pretty nice to actually see these dudes as the bad guys for once as recently I’ve only been seeing them as the love interests but no these demons are as bad as they come and poor Pandora is expected to save the world!? When she meets Eli her guide well she’s not sure if she’s meant to climb him like a tree or kick him in the… This is one hawt, steamy, whirlwind, action packed, crazy book of apocalyptic fun and after that ending I’m requiring book two!

Give me more of that sass

Love me a snarky, no holds barred lead. This more than delivered one. So many different parts I wanted to do that Kindle Quotes thing with but my iPad didn’t want to share them to my Goodreads so I just had to giggle to myself while others looked at me strangely. Saying them to the random public didn’t have the desired effect.
Usually I struggle with post apocalyptic books because I don’t do bleak well. This one kept me on the edge of my seat and had enough humor to keep me invested. Pandora’s thoughts often sounded exactly like something that would come out of my brain.
The ending? I’m going to trust you on this roller coaster you’ve taken me on EJ. Don’t ruin me. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I mean, I can because I don’t actually have a choice in the matter.

EJ had me at the introduction aka warning that said: "If thats you, and you are going to be pissed that the word fuck is mentioned in every paragraph.." Sounds like my kinda book! Count me in!!!

Pandoras Hell is book 1 in the Box of Sins duet. Make sure to read the introduction at the beginning of the book!!

Pandora is awesome! She will have you cracking up, and she is a badass! She has lost everyone she loved, and wants to take her revenge. She also hears voices telling her that she must find Hope to save the world from the Sins. She has no idea what they are talking about, though.

When an Angel, who is super hot, comes into Pandora's life, things get a little crazy. These 2 dont get along, but the spicy scenes of them will have you drooling!!! Holy crap. It's HOT!

And that cliffhanger!!! I can't wait for part 2 of this duet!!!

Starting a new series by an author who tried something new is always nerve wracking. Especially an author you love. But holy hëll, this book! Packed full of action, we are thrust into a post-apocalyptic world. We join Pandora Perry right before her life as usual is mixed up completely.

She still has her fight to stay alive, but she meets someone who forever has an impact on her life. They don’t exactly get along, so they have to figure out how to move forward with this impending mission. Friction turns to steam, and WOW! This previously only slow burn author has proved she can burn up the pages! There was one scene I legit would’ve needed a smoke if I did that 🥵🥵🥵🥵

I cannot wait for the second book!!

Story 📖: 5/5

This was a really fun read! the writing style was honestly, hilarious! and it was inclusive, in the sense that i felt like i was a part of the story.

the characters were so good, so well written. i loved the way they acted and just were. they were so funny and such assholes, i loved it!!

the mix of emotions and situations that were happening was so chaotic, and it was just my style.

the ending crushed me, but not as much as i would’ve thought. the pace of the book was too fast, especially for two people to fall in love. i felt like there wasn’t enough tension buildup to lead to the things that happened between the two characters.

and, not going to lie, i kind of ship reynolds and pandora more :)

Pandora has had everyone she has ever cared about in her life ripped away. But the Angels that speak to her tell her that she is going to take down all the seven deadly sins that escaped from Hell after an angel let them out for a woman. The key to everything is finding Hope, or so the angels tell her. But life always has a way of throwing a wrench into your plans, especially when a hot as hell Fallen Angel is shoved in her path. It was spicy and I enjoyed the different spin on the story of Pandora's Box and the seven deadly sins that escaped. I cant wait to read the second book.

Holy mind fucked! This book is filled with witty humour to mask the serious and deep story line. So many twists and turns in a battle of survival. Just when things get heated, danger lurks at every turn. Just when you feel hope, it is ripped from your heart over and over again... till you meet the ending that shatters your heart into a million pieces.

Bad ass, smutty delicious moments and heart wrenching revolations got me hooked and destroyed me bit by bit as I tried to conprehend it all. Beautifully written!!

Highly recommend!!!

No! What an phenomenal story this is. This is book 1 in a duet and I love this Pandora. Nothing like you think you know. She's very different and the way EJ weaves the seven sins in it. They are not the nice guys we've seen lately in other books but really are the bad guys here. Now on to save the world while trying not to fall into the trap. I've enjoyed this book very much and can't wait for more.

EJ Everette has written an amazing story! This book is super hot an steamy. The FMC, Pandora, is a kissass female and funny too. She is trying to survive the apocalypse brought on by Th Seven Deadly Sin , sexy but truly evil demons. She is trying to kill them and they want to torture her. This book pulls you in and I couldn't put it down. There is a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read bok two. I highly recommend this book!

7 deadly sin vs Pandora

Ok i could not look away i suck in from the start pandora live in a world where the 7 sin where freed and made earth they play ground. Each sin made there own zombie. If you got bit twice or didn't get antidote in time you became one the 7 sin minions and im all for it. The ending tho has me want the next book already to know what is going to happen and it is spicy.

I really loved this book! Panda has been through hell. She has completely shut herself off from feeling anything… well except lust. I can usually figure a book out early on but this one completely stumped me. As soon as I thought I knew what was going on, something else would happen and change it all. It was great!

Holy shit!!
This book is a masterpiece.

Pandora reminds me of my older sister Juli, and I LOVE IT. I love her spunk and snarky attitude. She is one of the MOST badass FMC’s I have come across and I adore her and her journey so much!

This book made me cackle, cry and roll my eyes throughout the entire thing. You can feel EVERYTHING going on and it is my favorite!!

I love stories that have recycled souls in them and this book does it brilliantly!!! I didn't particularly like Eli when I first met him which now I know is deliberate! Such a great story, I was left growling at my kindle at the end, and what an ending! I can't wait for book two.

easy 5*

I could give this book 5 stars based entirely on the hilarious and frequent references to so many pop culture-y things! Then you add in a hilarious female lead and a broody fallen angel, and I was a goner from chapter 1. Fabulous!

Pandora: Badass FMC with a don’t give a damn attitude
Reynolds: Pandoras best friend (basically, but there is a spicy scene with him early on)
Eligor: Grumpy fallen angel who is supposed to be Pandoras guide to Hope as his redemption.

I fell in love with this book! First of all, the FMC is 20+ so that’s a win all on its own! I really connected with Pandora as well. I loved her inner monologue and her smart ass mouth. That being said, if you’re someone who doesn’t like a sarcastic FMC with a super smart mouth and a kickass attitude, this isn’t the book for you.

Pandora has been through a lot and she is kind of closed off because of that. Post apocalyptic world, so that’s a given. However, she doesn’t go around just purposely hurting people. Once she realizes something she is doing is hurting her only friend, Reyn, she stops. So she isn’t an asshole, she’s just spicy. I loved her sarcasm, sassy attitude, and foul language so this book was perfect for me.

Pandora is definitely not your damsel in distress either. She’s a badass trying to take down the 7 sins that are wreaking havoc on her world. They’ve taken everything from her, so she’s out for blood. She also hears 3 voices in her head, usually in a dream, telling her she needs to find Hope and save the world. We learn that those voices are angels but they can’t just say what they need Pandora to do, it’s always them chanting the same thing until Pandora and her smart mouth has had enough and demands answers.

Eligor is the fallen angel tasked with guiding Pandora to Hope but his mood swings set Pandora off and one minute she wants to jump his bones, the next she wants to stab him.

I don’t want to go into a lot of detail but this book does have some twists. Some you kind of figure out but then some you don’t. And that cliffhanger. Like what? What does this mean for the rest of the world now? I want to say more but I don’t want to spoil it, so just read the book!

OMGGG! I need a minute to cope up with that, I literally just finished reading this and I had this prepared as I read the book. Pandora Perry, ladies and gentleman, confidence? sass? snark? power? strength? Check, check, check, check and also CHECKKK!! I came across this book completely coincidentally and the storyline was that unique I approached EJ Everette herself! She was such a sweetheart the entire time and I swear to god reading this book that hadn't been a part of my TBR until recently took my heart completely. I loved how this book didn't undermine the strength women have and also especially adored how we were shown we could have all that strength in us too. Pandora is such an amazing character, I really don't know how you authors come with awesome people to star in your books T-T, but nevertheless I ate up every word and am soooooo very excited for the second book in the duet, Pandora's Hope, to come out soon! Thank you so much EJ Everette for that book and you sure as hell have my 5 star review for this one :)

This book and these characters have a chokehold on me. Pandora is a new comfort character because of how relatable she is. She’s snarky, funny, and wild. The men in this book will make you fall in love, confuse you, and then make you fall in love all over again. The Big Sins are super funny (in an annoying great way) and hot but I had to remind myself that they are the enemy. They are really well written. I never knew I would ever be interested in a post apocalyptic book but here I am, being obsessed with it. I finished this, and the novella in one day and a few hours. Insane. This is a quick read that will have you hooked from the beginning. I will make this my personality for the next few weeks.

If you like action, romance, independent badass FMC’s, a very good plot, and handsome men then this is the book for you! Spice level is a good 🌶️🌶️🌶️
