Wow! Hope Holloway is a master storyteller who captures all the feels, all the ups and downs of this found family on Shellseeker Beach. The story is complex, with various twists and turns. I love the characters, and was delighted to be reunited with some old friends from Coconut Key in this latest installment. Now to wait again for the next book! Awesome book!

When I sit down to read a Hope Holloway book I know I will be transported to a delightful little beach town with wonderful characters. With each new book in the series I feel like I have escaped to Shellseeker Beach, I’m sitting in a comfy chair, my toes in the sand, sipping a cool drink and watching the characters lives unfold and meld onto a precious family. Mystery, romance and new relationships are all found in her books. I loved seeing some of the characters from the Coconut Key series come for a visit and reconnect with friends on Shellseeker Beach. Loved this book and excited for the next one!

Sanibel Sister's

This book continued with the people who are seeking life changes, some trying to change and others just relax and follow events making them change. New families happen with heart warming experiences. Change is possible, read to see how.

Love that these characters are so “real”, not all 20 somethings. The main characters are closer to my age and my daughters. Very realistic and easy to identify with. Be sure to bring your Kleenex box though cus there are several heart melting, tear jerking, scenes. Fabulous series!

Sanibel Sisters Helping Sisters in Unexpected Ways...

Book 4 of Hope Holloway's Shellseeker Beach kicks events on Sanibel Island into high gear! Long-lost relatives showing up? Check. The grand opening of a high-end fashion boutique? Check. A visit from old friends from Coconut Key? Major check! And a twist at the end for two characters who didn't see it coming? Check (but not happy...)
Katie's sister Jadyn has shown up on the beach when Katie and Noah were about to share a moment, and Katie panics, recalling how mean Jadyn was to her. She'd run away from Boston to avoid her father's offers to send her baby to Europe for adoption and her stepmother's insistence that she get an abortion. She thought she was safe hiding as the housekeeper at Teddy Blessing's cottages with her five-year-old daughter Harper, singer of show tunes and little mother to rampaging toddler Bash, son of Tommy, a SEAL teammate for whose death Deeley blames himself despite the Navy finding him not responsible. Since his return to the U.S., Deeley has been looking after his buddy's selfish widow Marcie and spoiled son, who gets Pop-Tarts and cookies and no interest from the woman who's supposed to be raising him. No wonder Bash is such a terror! Only Olivia can handle him by telling him "no", which he never heard from Marcie. Olivia, remembering a successful mentoring program at her previous job, decides she'll start one at Sanibel Sisters, the boutique she's going to open as Camille's partner , and Marcie will be her first success story. Deeley sees lots of red flags--she's been spending money as fast as he can send it to her out of misplaced guilt, and she never says "thank you" to Olivia for doing nice things for her--but it's intriguing to see how the "Sisters Helping Sisters" program will play out.
It doesn't start well; Marcie shows up late in clubbing clothes and immediately asks about employee discounts on the designer dresses she could buy for $39.99 at Ross. Clearly she's not an ideal candidate, but Olivia can't turn off her helper instinct and instead schedules a press conference featuring Marcie as a successful program graduate and Eliza's former client and host, privacy-loving TV star Nick Frye! A missing gold necklace at the end of Marcie's shift doesn't help.
Due to Marcie's inability to keep a secret, news of Nick's impending arrival spreads and young women crowd Sanibel Sisters, pushing past a horrified Camille (for whom I now have sympathy). Fortunately, Nick was alerted in time to hide in the angler's shop next door.
Meanwhile, Eliza and Miles are growing closer, but she overhears him tell Nick he intends to marry her, and she realizes she never wants to remarry. Sleep with someone, perhaps, but not marry again. (It's strange that she considers remarriage cheating, but not having sex with another man.) Miles says he'll wait for even a kiss until she's ready. They both think it will happen after a year since her husband died, but I don't hold out much hope for that--there are three more books in this series!
Katie's struggling with fear of being forced to return to Boston or one of her family's other houses. She doesn't want Harper to grow used to a lifestyle she gave up while pregnant. Noah points out that Jadyn changed and Katie can model forgiveness to Harper. She's ready to do it... but sees her father on the boardwalk and spirals again. Noah, the voice of reason, says he arrived with resentment in his heart and wasn't helped until he let it go--the Frozen song Harper keeps singing! He also asks Katie who ran away, and admitting her fault enables Katie to greet her dad, ask his forgiveness, and introduce Harper to her grandpa--to the delight of both.
Olivia is forced to acknowledge that she can't help someone who doesn't want help, and she prepares to call things off with Deeley, who's so scarred by his teammate's death he can't trust himself to have children, which is her dream. Then they spot Bash running into the street, calling for his mommy. A note reveals Marcie has left her son alone in a playpen to go to Vegas with her boyfriend and get married. She asks the finder of the note to take care of Bash, who was so upset he destroyed the playpen and wandered outside in search of Marcie. Olivia can't have that, so she takes Bash and Deeley back to Teddy's, where they find Savannah, Nick (who was fleeced for $10K by Marcie, taking his "no limit credit card" comment for selling his wife clothes literally), Peyton, Beck, and Lovely ready to celebrate the shop's grand opening. The police show up and want to talk to Deeley, not about the shark he saw while paddleboarding with Bash or the $10K Marcie stole from Nick, but to inform him that Marcie and her boyfriend have died in an accident. They got his name from a phone they recovered. Texts on the phone reveal that Tommy was suicidal, so Deeley really didn't kill him, and he wanted Bash to go to Deeley, so they'll still have a child.
Dramatic, but highly recommended!

Hope Holloway's debut Coconut Key series set a high bar last year. I fell in love with the characters, the setting, and the author's writing style. I fully expected to enjoy the books in this year's Shellseeker Beach series but I did not expect to have the same visceral reaction to them as I had with those set on Coconut Key. I was wrong.

In book four, we return to Sanibel Island with another story I couldn't put down. The focus in this book is sisters, a theme with the ability to generate great depths of emotion...and conflict. Holloway explores both as she skillfully guides her characters through the ups and downs of life, love, forgiveness, understanding, reunions, and life-changing realizations, all the while flawlessly balancing the intricacies of multiple storylines. It's a beautiful tapestry woven together using the individual threads of these members of found family that reside within Shellseeker Beach.

Reading each book in this series is like returning to a favorite place populated with friends who have become family. Holloway perfectly captures the vibe of Sanibel Island, immersing me in that unique Southwest Florida atmosphere that I love and miss. Then there are her characters: realistic, relatable, and emotionally engaging. I feel as if we've been friends for years. I'm invested in their journeys, their happiness, aching when they're in pain, celebrating with them during times of joy and success. I know them. I care for them. And I can't wait to read more about them.

If you have not yet discovered Hope Holloway, I highly recommend adding her to your summer reading list. Her books are closed-door women's fiction (with romantic threads) with an abundance of humor, hope, and heart-tugging emotion. As with her earlier Coconut Key series, each Shellseeker Beach book builds upon the previous stories. For that reason, I strongly recommend beginning this series with Sanibel Dreams and reading the remaining books in order.

Hope Holloway brings us back to Sanibel Island in the fourth book of her Shellseeker Beach series. In this segment we meet Katie’s stepsister, Jadyn, who has been searching for Katie for two years. Katie left her family five years earlier, a young, single woman pregnant with no family support. Jadyn had been mean and spiteful towards Katie when they were teenagers. However, she promises she has changed and wants to get to know her sister and niece. Will Katie be able to forgive her? Can she trust her to have truly changed or is she there to drag Katie and Harper back to Massachusetts? We get involved in the lives of this ever-expanding found family in another heartwarming story with wonderful feels and emotions. Although the books can be read as stand-alone books, they should be read in order to experience all the love and growth each family member goes through. I highly recommend the series and cannot wait for the next installment!

Book number 4 is just as fantastic as the first in the series!! They’re a little Hallmark-y, a little predictable on some parts, but also have surprising twists, family drama, and etc. It’s the perfect combination of it all. It’s fluffy, fun summer reading with lovable characters that you keep getting more and more attached to with each book. I can’t wait to read the next book because each and every one leaves you with that urge to know what’s going to happen, don’t leave me hanging!!
BUT… I’m currently reading 2 different book series. This one, Shellseeker Beach, and the Red Rising Saga series. I decided to alternate every other book from each series to switch it up. Red Rising is sci-fi and these Shellseeker Beach books are the perfect refresher in-between books!! Perfect combination to alternate!!

I flove this crazy mixed up family so much, not matter what is thrown at them they work through it and prop each other up and there is so much going on in this book as not only do we have Olivia and Deeley finally trying to work things out together but also Katie having to finally start facing her past with her step sister Jadyn turning up out of the blue trying to mend the past (I did not trust that girl to begin with no matter how much she tried to say she had changed after what she went through) and then there is Eliza and Miles. You are always guaranteed laughter, tears, revelations as well as an expanding family and home truths with this series and this book ticks each box and has me waiting for the next one!!

This is book 4 of 7 in this series by Hope. All of the books have been great but I must tell you this this my favorite so far. Lots of twists and turns and keeps you begging for more.
Another estranged sister shows up. Can they find forgiveness, can they move passed the hurt and find the sibling love? Continue reading the book to find out.
New relationship starts between Deeley and Olivia. Can their love withstand big hurdles? Read to find out.
This series as well as coconut keys series by Hope Holloway are highly recommended. I can't wait till August for book 5.

Hope Holloway has captured my heart with this cast of characters, all who have been through some type of loss. They were brought together through their life trials and all have grown into a family unit that love and support each other. Some have to let go of tragedy, loss, life experiences to learn to accept what Shellseeker Beach is bringing to their new lives. Can these characters, now family, let go and learn to live again? I can’t wait for the next installment to get some of these answers.

An excellent read

Another fantastic book in this series! This edition of the Shellseeker Beach series is full of ups, downs, twists and turns, laughter and tears! I'm sure you can read this out of order, but I think it wouldn't be so enjoyable that way. The first book by this author I read was in another series and I loved it so much, I binged that series and began this one and have the next on pre-order! She draws me right into book quickly and keeps me there!

Wow!!

These books just keep getting better and better! Olivia and Deeley are heating up, Eliza and Miles are venturing into a relationship, Katie is reconciling with her family. In the middle there’s troublesome Marcie and her lack of any motherly skills or affection for her own son. The outcome of this will break your heart, but you’ll still get a happy ending. Want to know how? Read it!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love all these characters and their relationships. Katie's stepsister comes into the picture and makes it even more complex. I love that some of the characters from Coconut Key come to visit and make it even more exciting, if that is even possible. Great series!! Love it!!

Loved it

I am so hooked on the people who live at Sheelseeker Beach. Each and everyone of them seem like friends to me. I also enjoyed how Hope Holloway worked in the great people from Sanibel Island. I can't wait to get to the next book.
My only drawback is I haven't gotten to my house work.
ENJOY!

Hope Holloway— this was the best yet. I loved incorporating families and friends from Coconut Keyes and Shellseeker Beach. I cried a lot — some were happy but most came from emotions and pure sweetness. Every book I read of Ms Holloway gets better and better. I can’t wait for #5.

very good

“I’m just getting used to the idea.” Eliza leaned in. “Is it that obvious?” “Not obvious at all,” Savannah said. “But I was looking for it, and I knew your daughter had the hunky long-haired dude sewn up.”

Hope Holloway keeps doing it! I love her books. There is always love, laughter, surprises and intrigue...oh yeah, and family, always family. It's not always blood family because there are ties that bind that are emotional ties where lives intertwine.
