Chūya Koyama (小山宙哉) is a Japanese writer, best known for his Space Brothers series, published regularly since 2007.

On 2 November 2016 his artwork was carried into space by the H-IIA rocket carrying the Himawari-9 weather satellite as part of an outreach project organized by the Young Astronauts Club Japan

Ogni volta che prendo in mano Uchu Kyodai è «che palle, mi sono rotto di questa storia infinita». Poi arrivo all'ultima pagina, e puntualmente mi ricredo. Stavolta è proprio l'ultimissima pagina a farmi vibrare... come fa Koyama ad essere così bravo a farmi piangere?

J'adore la façon dont cette série place des personnages secondaires comme principaux selon les tomes. Puis la place donnée aux émotions, la superbe amitié, entraide, solidarité qui s'installe entre tous. Vraiment magnifique

I love this series so much, and was so bummed out when I got to the end of what had so far been published in English! The arrival of the new volume on my birthday was the perfect present, and there are so many great moments here. My heart has been recharged!

Gosh golly gee wow do I adore this series. It's such a comfort blanket of goodness and joy. Emotional purge and catharsis.
