Three full-length dark mafia romance novels from the Carrera Cartel Trilogy and Stained White Lines, an explosive, new bonus novel, ONLY available in the collection.
Blurred Red Lines
Carrera. A word whispered in fear and respect. A name to avoid at all costs. Until I see something I shouldn't and come face-to-face with it. Abducted. Held against my will. A prisoner of a war I know nothing about. But my kidnapping is more than a case of mistaken identity, and my captor is more than a stranger. He's the heir to the devil.
Faded Gray Lines
I never meant to start a war. Then I fell for the boy my mother warned me about. A soulless killer for the Carrera Cartel. We were the virgin and the villain. The debutante and the devil. He swore we'd end in ruin. I swore love would conquer all. I was wrong.
Drawn Blue Lines
Brody Harcourt exposed me as a fraud, turning me from a queen into a pariah. Now there will be hell to pay. But I'm back for more than revenge. More than blood. My eye is on the prize. The Carrera throne.
Stained White Lines
Every great rivalry has a beginning. Ours was my sister's wedding. An event that masked the joining of empires. Betrayal changed everything. Carrera. Santiago. One bullet started a war. Two stained our history red.

Cora Kenborn is a USA Today Bestselling and Top 50 Amazon Bestselling author whose readers have affectionately dubbed her the “queen of plot twists that’ll ruin your day in the best way.”
Best known for her dark mafia romances, Cora has an insatiable bad boy obsession, which she believes started in the third grade when she chose Bruce over Todd in the Sweet Valley High books. To this day, give her an unhinged antihero who falls hard for a feisty heroine, and you’ve won her heart.
As a native North Carolinian, Cora claims the domestic Southern Belle gene skipped right over her. Her villain origin story was the day she tried making her mother’s famous biscuits and gravy, only to turn them into paste-covered dough bricks. That’s when she decided fiction was better than reality, and microwaved mac and cheese counted as fine dining.
A beautifully written and compelling series, these are the types of heroines that I LOVE! Kick-ass and smart, they meet their heroes head-on. Sparks fly. Hearts ignite. This is how mafia romance should be done! A crazy ride from start to finish... MORE PLEASE!
This whole collection following the Carrera Cartel is beyond 5*. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Blurred Red Lines #1
Thrilling. Suspenseful. Fantastic. Those are just a few words to describe Blurred Red Lines. Only an author like Cora Kenborn could have made me switch to reading Cartel/Mafia novels because no one can write like she does by the way she draws you into her stories and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. She throws surprises at you right and left and she breaks your heart at other times. This is another of her books that I couldn’t put down because it was that good.
Eden was made into a tough girl by all the things that had happened to her in her life but being tough doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have feelings even if she herself doesn’t want to acknowledge them. She witnessed the brutal death of someone very close to her which set her on a path that was looking for nothing but revenge. She had no idea that the Reaper was going to play such an important part to her finding not only the person who killed her loved one but would also be someone that she fell for even if he was keeping her captive. Valentin Carrera was the head of the cartel in the US with the only person above him being his father who led the cartel from Mexico. He was ruthless but then again he had to be in his business. Val had a catastrophe early in his life too which shaped him into the man he is today. He vowed then to not let anyone close to him ever again. He never would have guessed that this red head would work her way into his life and make him rethink everything that he once believed in.
Cora Kenborn is an amazing author and you would be doing yourself a favor by picking up one of her books just to see the dynamics that she brings to her characters whether they are rock stars or drug lords. You will get lost in her books and taken on the ride of your life leaving you feel that you can’t get your hands on one of her books fast enough. Blurred Red Lines was an exceptional book and I highly recommend it.
Faded Gray Lines #2
5+++ This is one of those books that had me up until 3:30a.m. because there was no way I could put it down. The Carrera Cartel series is one that will leave you so tied up in the characters that you will have a book hangover like non other. Ms. Kenborn has done an exceptional job in creating people that leave a mark on you.
Be ready for some twists and turns that will leave you crazy, betrayal like no other, love given another chance and the darkness of the underworld. This was an exceptional read that I highly recommend.
Drawn Blue Lines #3
Outstanding Yet Again!!
There is nothing better than when you have been waiting for a book which you know will be good and it blows your first thoughts out of the water because it’s even better than you could have wished for. It’s hard to say much about the book without giving anything away so just know that it is a book that you better be prepared to read this baby straight through. Ms. Kenborn has outdone herself yet again by giving us a book that draws you in from the first page and keeps you guessing throughout if any good can come from a fierce mafia family.
In case you missed Blurred Red Lines which is Val and Eden’s story and Faded Gray Lines which is Mateo and Leighton’s story make sure that you one click these books as well. All three have been written as a book that sticks with you long after finishing it. I highly recommend this book and this series!!
Stained White Lines (Bonus Novella)
I am so glad that Ms. Kenborn took us on another ride with the Carrera Cartel and this book was just as good as all the rest. The love and the destruction of bodies and souls sucked me right in from the first page on. This was the kind of story that kept me up until 3a.m. reading because I just couldn’t put it down.
What a great lead in to Santiago’s book which I cannot wait to get my hands on!!
This whole series was beyond 5*’s and I highly recommend this series.
The Carrera Collection by Ms Kenborn consists of four dark Cartel books.
The Carrera journey starts with Blurred Red Lines (BRL) and is based around the Kingpin for the Carrera dynasty. Val (Valentin) Carrera is ruthless and sadistic who ‘meets’ Eden Lachey (a strong, spirited character) after becoming an unwitting witness. Their story is explosive and will take you on a mesmerising journey of murder, passion, fireworks and suspense.
Faded Gray Lines (FGL) is book two in this phenomenal series and is a second chance romance whilst the characters from BRL still appear, it is centered around Mateo Cortes – the second in command to the notorious Carrera Cartel and Leighton Harcourt. It a compelling and page turning read with the many twists and turns within the storyline. The characters are strong minded with many facets to their personalities. It was dark, fast paced and had the elements of danger and suspense which I’ve grown accustomed to with Mafia books.
Book 3 – Drawn Blue Lines (DBL) is an enemies-to-lover book and was full of intrigue with plots aplenty which had me guessing and second guessing throughout. Brody Harcourt is the proverbial good boy gone bad – Mr Law Enforcement to Carrera Lieutenant for the illustrious Valentin whilst Adriana Carrera is the strong, wilful character who oozes sass and wit. Their story is one of lies, fraud and full of suspense.
Stained White Lines (SWL) is an additional bonus to this wonderful series and only available within this collection. All previous characters come together in this finale. Old scores settled with a bombshell or two. At moments reading this, I was “NO!!!!” This was an epic read with new characters making their presence in the way of Dante Santiago, blood spill aplenty and female characters coming together in a force of strength, sass and plenty bad*ss-ery!
As you progress through this collection, characters from the previous books are entwined and present. It makes for a fascinating and compelling read as you follow them through because once started the pages just keep on turning.
When I heard that all these incredible stories were being put into one boxed set, I couldn’t wait to read them! Each one is incredible, and you will love them too! Each one deserves more than five stars!
Blurred Red Lines
I’m a lover of all things Mafia, so trust me when I say that from the first page I was hooked! Val & Eden are such wonderful characters who love each other with a passion. They are both put to the test many times and I hoped that they would end up together. Nothing will stop Val from protecting her and his family. Eden is an incredible female character, kind and loving, yet a total spitfire too. At times my heart stopped, I laughed, I cried, and could feel all the emotions of these characters. This story will keep you entranced from beginning to end and you won’t put it down until completely finished. After reading many Mafia stories, I have to say this is definitely a favorite of mine.
Faded Gray Lines
Omg! What did I just read! The story of Mateo and Leighton blew me away. The chemistry between these too is “off the roof” Hotness! These characters, as described by this author, just jump off the pages at you and I rooted for them throughout this entire book. To be honest, I was pretty much an emotional mess while reading this and, at times, I wanted to throw my Kindle as I became unequivocally invested in these characters and didn’t want this book to end. There are so many facets to this storyline, that I was happy to hear another book was written after this. I will not give any spoilers away, just going to say that everyone needs this book in their life. True writing genius. This author is unreal!
Drawn Blue Lines
I'm not even sure where to start with how epic this book is. My mind is blown! After reading Blurred Red Lines and Faded Gray Lines, it helped to truly understand Brody's character. Brody is a complex character, who knows right from wrong, but is loyal to a fault when it comes to his boss, Valentin Carrera and the Carrera family. When Adriana comes into the picture, Brody is unsure how to handle her. There is no doubt, he lusts after her, but everything he knows about her makes him hesitant. And Adriana is definitely a woman you don't mess with. She is a mysterious, strong character who comes across as completely tough, but as you read, you do sense there is a softness to her as well. Can Brody bring that side out of her? Will she let him get close to her knowing all that he does about her? There is no doubt in my mind that these two belong together, not to mention their chemistry is chart topping! This story has many twists and turns and it is a wild ride that you'll never want to get off! I am in awe of this authors writing skills, she has a way of making you fall in love with her characters, even the ones you don't want to! Brody and Adriana's story is a phenomenal read and I truly believe everyone needs to read their story. They will embed themselves into your very heart and soul.
Stained White Lines
Where do I even begin with my review for this book. This story completely and utterly obliterated me. My emotions are running rampant! When I found out it was being written not only by Cora Kenborn but by Catherine Wiltcher as well I knew it would be epic, and it most definitely is. The bringing together of the two powerhouse mafia families, the Carrera’s and Santiago’s, is just pure brilliance. Val and Dante are two men who are not to be reckoned with, so when an event happens and these two meet, be prepared for an intense, heart stopping, emotional moment. So much goes on in this story that your head will spin! I can’t even tell you how many times I held my breath and prayed I wouldn’t have a heart attack! No words can truly explain how amazing this story is and I want more!
*** Caution Ahead*** 5 Millions *s Stained White Lines Blurb "Every great rivalry has a beginning. Ours was my sister's wedding. An event that masked the joining of empires. Betrayal changed everything. Carrera. Santiago. One bullet started a war. Two stained our history red."
***NOW let me tell you something about Cora Kenborn, She is an A$$Hole to the NTH degree and I may have told her that while reading SWL, she totally gutted me while reading this story. I would've thought that I would be immune to the twists and turns by this evil genius of an author but ONCE again she whipped so many shocking twists my way I had a hard time dodging them.... And I. WOULDN'T. CHANGE. A. THING Now onto this rollercoaster of a story, Val calls all of the big hitters in so he can keep his friends close and his enemies closer, It's a wedding... nothing will happen on such a wonderous occasion surely.... HOLD on to your britches because you are in for one heck of an emotional rollercoaster you won't know what hit you!! I'm not going to give too much away but this story is the PERFECT and I DO mean PERFECT intro to the next generation series.. That's right my friends we get to delve into the Carrera Cartel even more and I CAN. NOT. WAIT for it.
Blurred Red Lines BLOWN AWAY!!! Have you ever started reading a book thinking that you KNOW what the outcome was going to be because of the genre or "type" of story it is?? THEN............... have your world flipped upside down and inside out with all of the twists and turns and plot twists, your not sure if you wanna strangle the author or bow down and praise her evil genius???!!! Well.... Cora Kenborn has done EXACTLY that with Blurred Red Lines!! She gives you A smoking powerful alpha AND....... A stubborn strong willed nothing to lose Heroine. Valentin Carrera was born into a world of debauchery and evil, He knows what needs to be done and he GETS it done, ANY WAY POSSIBLE!!! That is until a chance encounter that knocks him back a few feet!! Eden Lachey hasn't had the fairy tale growing up and THAT continues well into adulthood, but she is making the best of what she was dealt......... Until she ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and she is thrust into a world that she couldn't fathom let alone be a part of. The chemistry between Val and Eden are off the charts and neither of them can deny the burn once the flame has been lit. This story is loaded with Betrayal, Evil, Heartbreak, Love and LOTS of steamy scenes that had me glued to every single page until I reached the very end... YET, I NEVER wanted it to end!!! I can't wait to see what is in store for the Carrera family NEXT!!!
Faded Grey Lines
***** One of my TOP 10 READS thus far!! ***** Just when I thought I knew what I was getting into with reading Faded Gray Lines, Cora Kenborn tosses my world on it's head and sucks me into the vortex of Mateo and Leighton world!! To say that this was an emotional rollercoaster would be the largest understatement of the century!! Hmmm Where to begin.. I don't think I can say too much without spoiling for others so I will just say that The Carrera Cartel Series is an absolute MUST read and even though FGL can is a complete standalone YOU WILL WANNA grab Val and Eden's story as well!! While reading this story I was bombarded with every single emotion and then some!! I caught myself yelling at the book several times and I'm quite certain some people think I'm a little Loco, but that's alright in my book. When I read a book of this caliber I want everyone to read it so I can talk to them about it and see if they wanted to crawl in and bash heads in as well!!! Ms. Kenborn I bow to your ability to pull at my heartstrings, warming my heart and making me want to kill in the same paragraph!!! KUDOS to ma'am KUDOS.
Drawn Blue Lines
Have you ever been so engaged with a story that you FEEL everything that the characters feel? THAT is exactly what happens when I open up a story from Cora Kenborn, She pulls you into all the turmoil and angst and keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end... And what a bittersweet end to the Carrera Cartel Series, but I have a feeling it's not the last we see of Val, Matteo, Brody and Adriana. Adriana and Brody have a toxic relationship to say the least but what they both don't realize is that love happens when you least expect it to with the person you least expect it with. The plot twists and turn had my head spinning trying to figure out who did what and who knows what and WHO IS WHOM...…… I think this has to be my favorite Carrera book because it ends where it all began and EVERYTHING came full circle and things ended up the way things were meant to be. ABSOLUTLEY LOVED this series and I am sad to see it end but as I stated before I have a feeling we will be seeing more of the Carrera family in the future.... I CAN hope ;-) Cora Kenborn to you and your brilliant writing!!!
*****Stained White Lines***** At the top since it DESERVES to be at the top and when you read it YOU will understand as well!! Happy Reading
ARE YOU CORA KENBORN'S BOOKS VIRGIN JUST LIKE ME? Then this box set is a great way to pop your cherry...Just remember to put your seatbelt on...This will be a rough ride...

****BLURRED RED LINES.****
All the books in this collection were amazing...But this one is just closer to my heart. Valentin aka Val aka Danger was one of my top anti-heroes I have read this year. He was a Ruthless, Crude, indestructible Alpha man who just possesses your mind with all his smoking hotness. Eden, although sometimes Vulnerable and caring, Is a spitfire...To earn her love is equivalent to climbing the Everest and Val did it!!! His methods were cruel but don't like a mean, broody, Cartel Drug lord to whisk you away... Their story started with a tragedy but ended with a Happily Ever After...Wheeww...I was scared they aren't going to get one...Because the action, drama, never ceases to stop till the last page...
****FADED GRAY LINES.****
This book focuses on Val's second in command Mateo and his long lost love Leighton. I was so excited that we got to know more about Mateo, his origin in THE CARTEL, the history both of them shared with each other before they were intentionally separated by some dark force. I was not expecting the tenderness and the love this story imparted in this dark mafia world... Definitely a must-read for the mafia, second chance romance lovers.
****DRAWN BLUE LINES.****
I was once again captivated by this Amazing written Carrera Cartel world...Amazing conclusion to the trilogy ... This story focuses on Brody and Adrianna. I was enthralled by Brody's character from book 1...I seriously wanted to read his book and wish got true...I turn the page and there it was... This story was more about redeeming and loving each other despite their sins. Well, its Cora Kenborn, so never expect a book without twists and turns. This book too was filled with suspense and action. I was enticed till the last page...Amazing book to just escape your reality.
****STAINED WHITE LINES.****
Just when I thought I was getting used to the twist and turn roller coaster rides Cora's books are..She merges with Catherine and both of them gave this dark, biting the nails, action-packed romance novella. All the characters from the Carrera Cartel are present...All of them and to top it off..Catherine's Santiago Clan too...This book is going to be a blast...That was my thought before starting this...But when I did finish...I was stunned..This book was perfection...They made me laugh, cry, scream..all the emotion in just a few minutes in the book. Val and Dante....Yum... Never take a side in this book guys... You never know which side will win!!! This Bonus Novella made my day...my month...year...everything!!!
I can't believe I never heard of this book series before the release of this box set...These are freaking amazing to read...for all Mafia romance lovers who like to dip in a lot of action, drama, and danger..This box set is for you.
This is a boxset and contains all the novels from the Carrera Cartel series by cora kenborn.
I am seriously shocked that I missed this series. But am so lucky to read it now!Dark Roman with kidnapping has always been my weakness so I devoured this book in one go. It was dark , gritty and had everything I could want in an amazing series.
There were so many characters and the plotlines were amazing. The first book is my favourite , but the other ones were pretty Phenomenal too. A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there.
This is what epic stories are made of. Stories that take you into their world and hold you captive. I have read the three original stories more times than I can count and each time I fall in love with them more. The world captured on these pages is written with such masterful precision that you feel like your there. That the bullets flying are ones that could grave you. That the love and passion beats just as your own heart does. The additional story contained at the end is nothing short of everything I felt when reading these three books or those by Catherine Wiltcher. I was lost in the story, white knuckled, and emotions soaring. My Kindle came close to meeting its demise multiple times, but I wouldn't give up the experience of these words for anything. This book will devour you, chew up your heart, and replace it with the need for more. More of the war that rages along side the love of these characters.
If you've never read a Cora Kenborn novel, what are you waiting for? The Carrera Cartel is fanfreakingtastic! Blurred Red Lines is Val & Eden's story. It's dark and twisted and oh so good. Cora will keep you on the edge of your seat with this one. Faded Gray Lines is Mateo & Leighton's story. Cora really outdoes herself with this one. The emotional roller coaster ride she's gonna take you on...hang on tight & grab your tissues, you'll need them. Drawn Blue Lines is Brody & Adrianna's story. Caliente! These two are hot! You don't want to miss their explosive story. Which brings me to Stained White Lines. I swear, the author is trying to kill me with this one. She has a way of tearing you apart, piece by piece, with her words. She'll make you cry, kick & scream in one breath and melt your heart with the next. Cora's good like that. Her crossover series with the incredible Catherine Wiltcher is going to be amazing. Cora Kenborn at her best!
This collection is a gritty and suspenseful, sinfully arousing and extremely emotional must read.
Blurred Red Lines The story of Val (El Muerte) and Eden quickly consumed my every thought. Their journey was intense on the suspense and plot twists. The insatiable heat between these two practically singed my fingertips as I held my Paperwhite. It's not for the faint of heart, there are some gruesome scenes, but I was too invested into Val and Eden to care.
Faded Gray Lines The Carrera Cartel continues in book two with Val's second in command, Mateo and his second chance love of one Leighton. The dark underworld can be a lonely place, especially when intentionally made to be that way. Love and light has no place in the darkness. Or does it? Mateo and Leighton's story is surprising in it's tenderness yet it's still filled with the twisted plot lines and suspense that readers have come to love. Once again, I was quickly consumed into this dark mafia underworld.
Drawn Blue Lines In what was an epic and stunning conclusion (supposedly) to the Carrera Cartel Trilogy, the Queen of all things dark romance truly outdid herself with Adriana and Brody. Their story is filled with plenty of darkness and grit, condescending yet tantalizing banter and extremely arousing chemistry. As with both Blurred Red Lines and Faded Gray Lines, Drawn Blue Lines is impressive in its explosive plot twists and suspense. Of course, I was immediately held captive within this Carrera Cartel world and all of the couples involved. Val and Eden, Mateo and Leighton, Adriana and Brody are forever pieces of my heart.
Stained White Lines This novella (novel) lit a fire within my soul. In this prelude to Corrupt Gods duet, a spin-off series co-write between Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher, the readers will be left speechless. They'll be sobbing and in awe of the sheer talent of these two authors. The depth of emotions and amount of tears that the readers will experience will surprise you. Being immersed back into the Carrera Cartel world, seeing how far Val, Eden, Mateo, Leighton, Adriana and Brody have come, getting delightful cameo appearances by Ava and Niko, greeting new friends and foes alike from Catherine Wiltcher's Santiago Trilogy, was truly magnificent. There is darkness. There is light. There is red. Lots and lots of red. And white. And black.
If you love dark, gritty and suspenseful mafia romances, I highly recommend reading this collection. You'll immediately be drawn into the darkness and held captive in this Carrera Cartel underworld.
***Blurred Red Lines Review*** Blurred Red Lines is the first book in a new Cartel Series by Author Cora Kenborn. This is the story of Valentin Carrera, a Drug Lord in line to inherit the Head of the Cartel and Eden Lachey a down on her luck barmaid.
Wow, I don't even know where to begin. I fell in love with Cora Kenborn's writing style with her first book Fame and Obsession so I was very excited to hear about her new series. I got my hands on this copy and it was EPIC.
This was an AMAZING book. I was captivated from the first sentence all the way until the last sentence. I couldn't put this down. What Eden went through and witnessed was just GUT WRENCHING. I don't do spoilers but let's just say I bawled like a baby. I LOVED Eden as a character. She was quick witted, didn't take crap off anyone, she knew what she wanted and didn't care (for the most part) what people thought.
Valentin... oh my VAL. I LOVE him. Like seriously... he is my ULTIMATE book "boyfriend" you know what no HUSBAND. I LOVED HIS CHARACTER. He was who he was and made no apologies for it. You don't like it? Move along. Man... some of the scenes with him HOT **melting**
I mean, what would you do if you found yourself basically kidnapped by a man that you have been drooling over for MONTHS only to find out he is the soon to be head of the largest Cartel in Houston? Then... you find out he might just be the man responsible for what she witnessed (spoiler not gonna say)... and then... well.. you find you are STILL attracted to this man. How do you cope? What do you do? Do you fight the feelings? Do you give in to them? What?? Oh Man... talk about rock and a hard place! I can't even begin to imagine being in Eden's shoes. But wow... for the author to invoke such reactions for me... I LOVED IT!
The character development was just off the charts amazing. To have 2 COMPLETELY different characters with VASTLY different upbringing and lives collide and then you are able to see how each character helped the other grow...Epic writing. They pulled strengths from each other. Eden helped make Val basically FEEL again. This has to be some of the best writing I have ever read.
The secondary characters are great, I think that there are some more stories to be told there and I look forward to reading more of this series.
Ms. Kenborn is an extremely talented writer and is going places. I can easily see this book made into a movie or a tv show... mm... that would just be so amazing. Overall, this book by far is my favorite book of 2017. It will be hard to push this book from my number one spot for this year.
***Faded Gray Lines Review*** Faded Gray Lines is the second book in the Carrera Cartel Series. It CAN be read as a standalone novel, but seriously, get Blurred Red Lines, it is so worth the read!
I am going to be honest, after Blurred Red Lines, I wasn't truly interested in Mateo's story. I was just hoping to get Brody's story LOL. However, once I begin a series I am invested and will finish to the very end. Man am I glad that I did! This book was explosive! Just as Blurred Red Lines did, this one just starts with a bang. There are so many twists and turns. You think you have it figured out and then Ms. Kenborn throws something else in there that you didn't see coming. Ms. Kenborn is one of my favorite go to romantic suspense authors out there. She is able to weave such a fantastic story, with just the right amount of romance and steamy scenes that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
One of the things that I love about this author is the fact that she can take a popular trope and make it seem new again. This book is set in the cartel world as well as being a second chance story.
Faded Gray Lines brings you the story of Mateo and Leighton. Leighton finds herself in some serious trouble and calls her brother Brody for help. He tells her to get back to Houston as fast as he can and to basically wait and he will help her figure everything out. Brody then contacts Valentin Carrera and Mateo Cortes. Val sends Mateo to Houston to figure out what is going on and to help clean up whatever mess is going on.
The hurt, anger, frustration, secrets, betrayal, not knowing who to trust made this one of my top reads of this year. I couldn't put the book down. I had to know what was going to happen, and who was holding all the cards.
If you are looking for a book that will keep you on your toes, scream at your kindle and want to throw it across the room all while having to grab a cold shower because the couple in this book are off the chart hot, Faded Gray lines is the book for you.
Ms. Kenborn is one of the most talented writers I have stumbled upon. Each book of hers that I have read, just gets better and better. The way that she is able to craft a story and the emotions that she is able to get from you for a character is nothing short of amazing. She makes you feel for her characters, makes you yearn for their happily ever after, or for the antagonist to get what is coming from you. I have never cheered so much for a bunch of fictional characters as I did for Leighton and Mateo. I can NOT wait until Book 3 comes out.
I would give this 10 stars if I could. Plot and story were fantastic, flowed extremely well. The character development was on point and I never felt that they were one dimensional. The dialogue was fantastic. Overall, definitely a top read for 2018 and I look forward to many more stories from this author.
***Drawn Blue Lines Review*** Brody and Adrianna are EXPLOSIVE!
Holy Crap! You need to have your fan on high while reading this book. Drawn Blue lines is the final book in the Carrera Cartel Trilogy and holy hell, Kenborn saved the best for last! If you are looking for a story of two characters who are just completely broken, this is the book for you. This is part of a trilogy but you can read it as a standalone (though just read all of them, trust me, they are fantastic!).
Adrianna is lost. Everything that she thought she knew is a lie, and she is going after the one who made everything crumble around her, Brody Harcourt. I'm not gonna lie, I have a hard core crush on Adrianna. She is EVERYTHING that I love about a heroine. She is strong and not afraid to go after what she wants, she makes no excuses for who she is and man, when she loves, she loves DEEP. The growth of her character throughout this entire book is amazing. She is ready to take what she is owed and what has been stolen from her, and she isn't afraid to play dirty.
Now... Brody... OHH Boy... I didn't know that he had all that bad boy alpha in him from the previous books! Brody is broken, he feels that he has let all the women in his life down and he doesn't know how to redeem himself, or if he even wants too. Adrianna comes strutting back into his life, and he just can't resist her, but he is going to play by his own rules. Brody is SMOKING hot. I LOVED his character as well. To watch him go from just basically giving up and making stupid choices, to finding who he is again with Adrianna, and learning to live again was amazing and I loved every step of it!
Brody and Adrianna together are a fierce couple. I love how they were made for each other, and how together, they were able to pull themselves through all the crap in their pasts and move on together (with lots of hot scenes as well)
I am sad to see this series come to a close, however, I think I caught some teasing by the author on a possible new series??? I can't wait to get my hands on that! The plot was great, moved forward well, and makes it hard to put the book down. The writing is fantastic (though, with Cora Kenborn, I know it will be), Character development is fantastic. While reading, I can feel their pain and the struggles that they went through in order to come out on top. I HIGHLY recommend Drawn Blue Lines as well as the series (and really ANY book by Cora Kenborn.
***Stained White Lines Review*** HOLY (expletive)!! WOW, I have LOVED this series from book 1, (As you can tell above), but Ms. Kenborn pulled out ALL the stops with this one, and then some. I thought that I was in love with Valentin Carrera before but I think I was in lust with him.. NOW I am in love with him forever more!.
This book was action packed from the get go, and getting to see EVERYONE? Awesome. Everyone comes together for a big event in the Carrera Cartel however the unimaginable happens. I won't spoil for anyone, but let me just say that I was in tears and ready to scream and break my new kindle, but the author redeemed the story for me!
Honestly, JUST READ IT. Totally worth it. I have yet to read a book I did not absolutely adore by Cora Kenborn.
I first have to say that this is a brand-new author for us and that we really enjoyed our first read by them.
For me at the beginning, I kept putting the book down and picking it up again because It was taking me forever to get into the book not sure why but, at first I wasn't digging the characters but, I am glad I stuck with it because I couldn't be more wrong the characters ended up being amazing.
The story itself was intriguing and had tons of drama and a bit of a mystery to solve and one that never had a dull moment and things were never what it seemed as well as who all the players were because most of them turned out were downright evil.
If being honest I think the women who leaped to be with the men and the lives they lead were the real heroes of the stories and that made it a whole lot more interesting, and they were smart, protective, determined, and strong and went to all costs to protect the ones they loved and God forgives anyone who got in their way of doing so.
Eden was a character you instantly loved because she had spunk and was sassy and lived her life on her own terms and was one mouthy bitch.
Leighton on the other hand had a lot of the same qualities as Eden but, she wasn't as vocal she did her dealings in secret and behind the scenes, and she was smart jugging the things she needed to in order to keep everyone safe that she loved above all else and that included herself.
Arianna aka Marisol was a force to be reckoned and being caught between two worlds and a whole web of lies she was determined to reign as Queen once again.
The men of these stories were hot, dangerous, possessive and the sexual chemistry they had with their women explosive and their sexual conquests super hot and fan worthy!
These men were downright scary and hard and dangerous and the world they lived in fraught with danger and death and power plays and destruction and full of betrayals but, somehow they found women strong enough to love them and to navigate their dangerous world making the men seem somewhat human, and they loved them back just as fiercely as they did them and would lay down their lives for each and every one of them and vice versa.
Overall I found the stories and series to be awesome. I loved the characters and with each book, it just kept getting better and better with each story. The stories had so much suspense and intrigue and violence and darkness that it kept you on the edge the entire time and once I was all in the stories kept me glued to the pages to the bitter end.
The Carrera Cartel collection has the three previously released books (Blurred Red Lines, Faded Gray Lines, and Drawn Blue Lines) and the newly released Stained White Lines that you can only get with this collection. I'd already read the three Carrera books and was excited when Stained White Lines was announced because this series is phenomenal!
Blurred Red Lines: From the moment I started reading I was sucked into the world of Val and Eden. I couldn't put it down because I had to know what happened next. It's like sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what's going to happen next as you flip through page after page. I love Eden, she's amazing.
Faded Gray Lines: Wow, Cora Kenborn has knocked this out of the park. Every time I had to put the book down I cursed because I didn't want to adult, I wanted to keep reading. When this book was announced I was excited because I wanted Mateo's story when I read Blurred Red Lines, the first book in this series. The unexpected twists that were in the book kept me guessing, and I was even wrong with some of my guesses of what was happening. I absolutely love Mateo, and let's just say if he was a real person I'd want him.
Drawn Blue Lines: Drawn Blue Lines is book three of the Carrera Cartel series and unlike most series can be read standalone. Having read Blurred Red Lines and Faded Gray Lines I was excited to see what Drawn Blue Lines would give us. Cora Kenborn out did herself with this one. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, chewing my lip and praying my racing heart didn't give out on me. This book needs a warning sign to ensure that no one disturbs you while reading, after all the Carrera cartel is at our disposal. Brody and Ariana's story is one that the tension burns so hot. Their explosive together, everything we'd ever want out of a couple.
Stained White Lines: OMG where do I begin with this story. For one, I don't recommend reading it when working because you won't want to put it down. There were moments that I was cursing Cora Kenborn, moments where I was sitting on the edge of my seat flipping pages, and of course swooning over these Alpha men we've come to adore. This story was allowed us a chance to revisit the Carrera world to glimpse at where everyone is in their lives and boy are there some jaw dropping revelations that happen.
The Carrera Cartel Collection is EVERYTHING a cartel book should be! ALPHA men, STRONG supporting women, drama, suspense--all the emotions! Kenborn is an author that can tear you apart and put you back together again like few can. You will love her, hate her, forgive her, and love her again all in the SAME book! Each book in this collection is a standalone, however, characters do cross over (trust me - you WANT to know more about them). The bonus, Stained White Lines, is EVERYTHING! You want this collection just to read this piece of art. There are a few books (VERY FEW books) that have brought me to tears...SWL did. The emotions that Kenborn draws out of you will be like nothing you have experienced. She is not afraid to make you hurt...be prepared! ;)
♥️🌼WOW!! I’M THINKING CORA KENBORN MAY NOT BE HUMAN.🌼♥️ So...I had already read the first 3 books of this series....more than once, actually...but before I read Stained White Lines, I wanted to read them again...so, that’s what I did....I read the whole series...And I enjoyed every book this time just as much as I did the first 2 times I read them...The Carrera Cartel Collection is, for sure, one of my favorite series’....Stained White Lines is new, and it’s a fantastic addition to this series....♥️🌼 Blurred Red Lines is the love story of Valentin Carrera and Eden Lachey...Valentin is the brutal and ruthless head of the Carrera Cartel and Eden was a bartender in trouble...and they may be one of the most intense couples I’ve read.....Faded Gray Lines is Mateo Cortes and Leighton Harcourt’s story....Mateo is Val’s super hot second in command (I’m a little obsessed with Mateo after reading this time..) and Leighton is Brody’s sister, and their relationship is intense and really hot....I may have already said that...Drawn Blue Lines is the story of Brody Harcourt and Adriana Carrera....Adriana was kidnapped as a baby and raised as the enemy who hated her own family.....but she’s all Carrera....It’s a messed up story, and it is SOOO good....♥️🌼 Stained White Lines is the new “novella” and it is such an emotional book...It’s takes place at Brody’s and Adriana’s wedding,....and it’s not your typical fun celebration....No...this is a mafia wedding.....and it’s ugly....and terrifying....and it’s fantastic...It’s about ...destiny and unconditional love...and choosing to stay, because you can’t not....and if you aren’t in love with Valentin Carrera after reading this book...you’re dead....call the morgue...♥️🌼 This collection will give you all the alpha males and the strong women and all the dark and scary and twisted, mafia reading, you can possibly handle...with plenty of steam thrown in....You will laugh...you’ll cry...and you’ll curse the author...You may even throw your kindle....I know I nearly did...These are not stand alones, but don’t let the amount of pages scare you off...I promise every page is worth reading....♥️🌼
If you love Cartel/Mafia books, you will love this collection of novels. There is so much chemistry from the beginning to the end. I can not tell you how many times I had stopped breathing because I didn’t know what was going to happen next. These books will take you on an emotional roller coaster that you will never forget. Blurred Red Lines This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the very end. It is about a feisty red-headed bartender and a cartel boss. It is filled with everything a perfect dark mafia romance needs... betrayal, angst, danger, and of course sexiness. I did not want this book to end. Cora, you are the best!!! Faded Gray Lines Faded Gray Lines is the second book, however, it can be read as a stand-alone. This is one of those books that you will not want to put down. Mateo and Leighton's story has all the feels. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. I will definitely read this story again. Drawn Blue Lines This is the third book in the Carrera Cartel novels. All novels can be read as a stand-alone, however, characters will cross over. OMG!! WHAT A BOOK! Brody and Adrianna's story is intense. They both live broken lives but together all hell breaks loose. This book is full of emotional, sexy, and angsty twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Stained White Lines Stained White Lines is a prelude to Corrupt Gods, a co-write between Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher. If you thought the first three left you breathless, by the end of this novella (novel) you will not know what to expect next. What starts as a beautiful wedding of Adriana and Brody with a lot of our old friends from earlier Carrera books meets new adversaries from Catherine’s Santiago’s novels. There is more excitement, danger, and red everywhere.
This is a collection that is suspenseful and will keep you on an emotional rollercoaster. Believe me. you will not want to miss it.
WHAT AN AMAZING AND MINDBLOWING DARK MAFIA ROMANCE SERIES BY CORA KENBORN!I am speechless. This was such an explosive and intense series with unparalleled adrenaline rush, heights of emotions, sizzling hot passion and genius story telling. My heart is owned by these alpha heroes and their sassy queens. Hands down, one of the best mafia romance series I have ever read.
The Carrera Cartel collection includes three full length novel and one never published bonus novel. Each novel deals with a separate couple but the plots are interconnected and you will miss a lot if you don't read serially.
☆Review of Blurred Red Lines
Valentin Carrera aka El Muerte has come to America to expand Mexico's most powerful cartel's territory. It's a dangerous and deceptive world with so many players and risks. Eden Lachey, the red haired fire ball was not one he considered. But their lives get twisted together through death, revenge and darkness. And Eden finds herself falling for the man who abducted her, ruined her family and turned her world upside down.
This story was pure dark romance perfection. I hated and loved Val. One of the best antiheroes I have read. A monster, a devil, ruthless, merciless, violent and deranged. But he loves Eden with the same power he kills. And damn that power crippled me. Eden is no soft flower. She is a real woman with fierce compassion and determination. They are a match made in hell and this story took few years out of my life! The chemistry was something else. Dark. Deviant. Sensual. Raw. Gritty. It just satisfied my dark romance loving heart 200%. The plot was pure devil. With so many pieces and twists and secrets. You blink and you will miss!
☆Review of Faded Gray Lines☆
Houston's Assistant District Attorney's sister Leighton Hartcourt is going to have a rude awakening. In one night, her world will turn upside down. And she will find herself in middle of murder, mafia wars and political power plays. Carrera Cartel's second in command Mateo Cortes has the mission to protect her and figure out this mess tearing apart their cartel. But when he meets Leighton, his heart is torn apart. They have some unfinished business and may not have time before the lies, conspiracies and death swallow them whole.
This is a twisted second chance romance. Very very twisted. Once again I was floored by the author's devil mind that generated and manipulated this beyond complicated plot! The puzzle had a million pieces but they all fall into pieces so nicely but not before taking my breath away. And somewhere in middle of this violent mess, she created this epic, angsty, heartbreaking and soul shattering romance to shred my heart. Bravo..just..bravo.
☆Drawn Blue Lines☆
Cora Kenborn probably saved the best for the last. Because Drawn Blue Lines was EXCEPTIONALLY AWESOME. This is some of the best enemies to lovers romance I have ever read. Ever. The tension. The feels. The chemistry. The ups and downs. I felt like someone is twisting a knife in my heart and charging my body with high voltage current reportedly. I don't know how I survived but I am bruised, broken and elated. I am on an emotional high.
Houston's political pin up boy and once Assistant District Attorney Brody Hartcourt has changed team and now rules Carrera Cartel's operation in States. He has exposed sometimes back that Marisol Munoz, queen of their rival cartel is actually stolen Carrera Princess, Adriana. Now she wants revenge and her rights. And no woman is more dangerous than one betrayed, abused and cornered. And no man is more fearsome than the one who has nothing to lose. This story had fire and pain in abundance. It kept me on the edges till I lost my mind. Both the characters were phenomenal with layers. Be it broken and dark and alpha Brody with hero complex. Be it fearless and vulnerable queen Adriana. A MASTERPIECE.
☆Stained White Lines☆
This new story is cowriten with Catherine Wiltcher and basically introduction to a new crossover world. Carrera Vs Santiagos. The Carrera men thought they have their happily ever after but the mafia world is never stable. Everything precious to them is going to get in danger and they have to endure some of the greatest pain possible. And Santiago Cartel is involved in everything. Are they really enemies? Or pawns in a bigger game?
Now this was just cruel to my heart. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE CORA KENBORN MADE ME GO THROUGH THAT HELL. I mean it's not fair! Ok she did make things ok but I stopped breathing for few seconds. So many times. And I am addicted!
Cora Kenborn got me addicted and obsessed with her dark mafia world in The Carrera Cartel collection. This is everything I need in a perfect mafia romance and she delivered every single time! I am craving for more already. Trust me, you are missing something phenomenal and life changing good if you miss this series.
5+ stars! This pack is complete....plus one hell of a bone!!!
The Carrera Cartel Collection compounds three full length novels, Blurred Red Lines #1, Faded Gray Lines #2 and Drawn Blue Lines #3 and a plus one novella, Stained White Lines (more of a novel), introducing the arena for the ultimate battle between the Colombian Cartel of Dante Santiago (by Catherine Wiltcher) and the Mexican Cartel of Valentin Carrera, Cora Kenborn's underworld baby.
The saga starts with Valentin Carrera, 'El Muerte', 'Danger' for his Cereza (Eden), the ruthless kingpin of narcos Mexico, a man raised after his father (the devil himself), with a difference: Val loves and loves hard, as hard as he kills, defends and protects the ones that swore utter loyalty to him and delivered.
Next, we have Mateo Cortes, Val's second-in-command and right handman. Having joined the Cartel life since a young age, Mateo is loyal, realiable and abids by the oath of his boss and friend Valentin, but a girl, his once in a time greatest love will need his help and protection to fight demons of her own, the very ones that tore them apart all those years ago and left her vulnerable and fighting alone.
The Carrera Cartel series completes with DA Prosecutor Brody Harcourt, soon-to-be lieutenent of the Carrera Cartel and a surprise character tightly related to Valentin, who will fight to accept Adriana in his family and his heart, but family ties are strong and blood it's always thicker. Against all odds, Brody and Adriana hit it off, not instantely since the struggle is real and she's not worth of trust for the fact of being raised to hate her blood family and the only one she has.
This is a series of standalones with a interconnected plot, but my suggestion would be for the reader to dive in in the three books, in order, with the goal of better understanding the group dynamics and the forces they struggle with. There is a plot and troupe for every taste and bend: captive romance with Vall and Eden, second chance romance with Mateo and Leighton and snemies-to-lovers or opposites attract between Brody and Adriana. This series it's dark, raw, twisted, gritty with gore, chaos and mayhem. Cora Kenborn doesn't sugar coat cartel life, she demonstrates how it is, gives it hard and real, this is cartel life after all! And, even in the middle of such havoc, you can feel the humanity of the characters in the way they love, protect, trust and act in a concentration of efforts and united fronts. A well concocted plot done with finesse and poignancy!
As the cherry on top of the cake, Cora Kenborn writes Stained White Lines and throws a bone because, why not?, where the reader gets to know the most poweful opponent to date to the Carrera Cartel and vice versa, the Santiago Cartel: Mexico vs. Columbia, Carrera vs. Santiago, a battle of power, influence and strategy, born out of a sabotage from a third party. With unexpected consequences and setting a new ground for the most deadly rivalry known to date, the plot will unravel in the Corrupt Gods Duet, a co-written work by our star, Cora Kenborn and another star, Catherine Wiltcher in what I presume will be an epic tale of revenge, unsuspected liasons and blooming love, or so I hope. Stained White Lines it's a necessary entry to the present life of Valentin and his criminal organization (the characters from the CC Collection), his alies (the appearences of Ava and Niko) and new players like Rafael Suarez. It's the settlement for the chaos and destruction that ensues in Brody and Adriana's wedding day as well as the nefarius repercussions from that date on and the struggle to get back and maintain his family strong and reliable. I never thought I would break for Val the way I did: I could feel his desperation, the turmoil in his soul, the struggle was real but, in the end, his perseverance and unconditional love won. The years passed, little by little everything came to what used to be, but now we have Santiago Carrera following his father's steps and preparing for the utmost vengeance. A lot to see in the near future.....
Blood thirsty Carrera family not for the faint of heart
This Carrera Cartel collection contains the fourth book in Cora Kenborn’s Carrera Cartel series Stained White Lines. The other three were previously reviewed and loved
In Stained White Lines we get to revisit our favorite blood thirsty cartel family. We catch-up with them at the wedding of Brody and Adrianna from Drawn Blue Lines.
Val (from Blurred Red Lines) is persuaded to invite a rival cartel to his sister’s wedding in order to broker a deal. Eden, his wife, and his sister, Adrianna, are upset that he has turned a family event into a potentially dangerous situation to broker a deal with Dante Santiago. Bullets fly, wine is spilled and what was white is now stained red. Cora sets up the next chapter in this series that crosses over with Catherine Wilchert’s Santiago cartel in her usual style: blood has been drawn and there is a score to settle. Remember that old adage? Revenge is best served cold. Cora has it all planned out and we just need to strap in for the ride. My love/hate relationship with her characters continue.
Suspense like no other. Mafia based with explosive chemistries to be found. Great collection with twists and turns at every page. Watch who you trust, keep your circle small and guard your heart. You never know who will barrel through the barrier and make you change all your beliefs. My heart is still racing from the suspenseful and action packed collection! Wow. You never know who to trust, who is telling the truth, who is hiding facts in plain sight.
Stained White Lines: Epic and will blow your mind. Two worlds collide, life flashes before your eyes and everything you know and love can flip on its axis at a moment.
Need a dark, hot and gritty mafia/cartel series? This is it! I’ve reread this series multiple times because I just couldn’t get enough of it. When I finally told myself to move let go and move on, this boxset came out and Stained White Lines was added to it. HOLY CRAP! I knew I wanted more Val but crossing over to Dante’s world was not what I expected! As always, Cora Kenborn has shown her writing super powers and has blown me away! Kudos, ma’am!
Brilliant Mafia Series!!! You get three full length novels, plus a bonus novella. Never a dull moment in this explosive series. The main characters of each book will absolutely consume you. Congratulations Cora.
Love love love this book. I was not able to put it down once I started it. Reading this made me fall in love with all the characters, especially Mateo❤️ you will love this book. Must read
Getting to reread The Carrera Cartel Series with the added Stained White Lines story has been absolutely out of this world amazing.
Blurred Red Lines you find the emotional story of Eden and Val, who will keep you on edge the whole time. Then in Faded Gray Lines you get the fabulous Mateo and Leighton. These two have been my favorite characters so far with the twisted roller coaster of a ride and the passion they have for each other. Next you have Drawn Blue Lines about Adrianna and Brody who have the hottest, steamiest, and totally engrossing story. All of these books keep you on your toes and your mind working overtime to figure out what is going on and what is going to happen next. But never doubt that Cora Kenborn won’t come up with an even more emotional and heartbreaking story that will make you cry, cuss, scream and wonder what the hell was she thinking. Well she was thinking that if she teamed up with Catherine Wiltcher she could really bring us to our knees with a story so dark and twisted at times I had to stop and calm myself. I went through every emotion i think possible and then some I’m not sure you should have about a book. This is one series that is a absolute must read, but remember get you tissues, a stress ball and a quite place so you can have all the feels. Cora and Catherine you two together are an fantastic team, my hats off to the both of you!
a nice solid sexy strong couple they have intense chemistry and are made for each other they'll last forever and a day
but damn this poor H can't catch a break he's a cartel prince who has not an ounce of power he'd love to have it and sounds powerful and alpha but its just not happening if he's not losing his men, he's losing drug shipments, getting knocked out by an explosion, and the few men left are stupid and cruel and execute the wrong (innocent) person, and then there's the safe houses being blown up the blurb suggests he's a big time cartel heir but mostly he's confounded by all the drama he's like: wth just happened???? on more than one occasion
in the next 2 books we get glimpses of him and he seems to have upped his game seems more in control once he actually becomes the kingpin but I would've like to see it happening here because this is his book
the poor heroine too she's feisty and strong - I like her - she's his perfect match - I love them together but damn, hth she doesn't eat for 4 days and can still function okay, is beyond me how she doesn't wash/shower/wipe for days on end...
its all just so icky the dingy places they stay in: dirty basements, dirty bars floors, dirty countertops....
but well, I get to see them clean in the next books, and they're staunchly devoted to each other there
2nd he's the underboss - I like him - has his story together compared to his boss in book 1 she's a single mom - many issues - wrong choices - idiotic sense of reasoning he makes up for it, so....

Blurred Red Lines OMG! That was A-MAZ-ING! I totally have a girl crush on Eden. Can't forget about Val either. My god I floved this book. Cora you beautiful crazy lady, you are awesome. I got sucked into this book & couldn't put it down till I finished. Get ready for a wild, crazy, suspenseful story.
Faded Gray Lines Faded Gray Lines is the second book in the Carrera Cartel series. Get ready to have your mind blown!!! Mateo and Leighton will both steal your heart. So many raw emotions. The details in the book was like a movie was playing in your head. I love books that can make me escape reality for awhile. Hats off to ya Cora. Great book, you don't want to miss out!
Drawn Blue Lines Freaking Amazing!!!! Cora is super talented, kept me on the edge of my seat. I love this series! I didn't think I would care for Brody but hot damn, Cora mad me fall in love with him. I want to be best friends with Adriana. I would like to see more of the Carrera series or maybe a next generation. You'll want to read this series even though it can be read as a standalone. All of the men are swoon worthy.
Stained White Lines The Carrera's are back and it's going to get dark and dangerous. So much angst, heartache, hurt and love in this book. A new generation is being born and raised in Stained White Lines. That epilogue has me dying to read the Corrupt Gods Duet. Bring it Cora and Catherine. I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us.
Exactly what you are looking for in a mafia collection
This collection had everything! I read the first two books awhile ago and never got around to Brody's story. Then, I find out that Carrera and Santiago cartels are getting a book, together. I had to catch up. What an explosive series! The are definitely alphas but the females are such badasses and I love it! While all the books are exciting, I really loved the novella at the end! That was...WHAT?! If this is what I have to look forward to when the Carrera/Santiago forces meet again, I'm not going to be getting any sleep.
