August of 2021, she made her BLP debut with “Pretty Caged Bird” and is continuing to grow her catalog. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a pending masters in Mental Health Counseling, Kimberly loves to incorporate mental health into her writings as she feels it is not talked about or address enough within the African American community.

When Love Takes Over was so stinkin’ cute! I absolutely adored Eden and Maverick. Everything about them was romantic, sexy, and sweet. I loved how bashful and nervous they were with one another. Cree all but had to push Maverick out of the shop to get Eden’s number. Some low-key IG lurking and an accidental like leads to the start of their love journey. During many conversations, Eden and Maverick really took the time to get to know each other. He made sure to accommodate her vegan lifestyle on their first date which, was a huge deal for Eden considering how her family treated her for being vegan. 1000 cool points earned my guy. Eden and Maverick were just meant for one another. Their shared energy and their love of music and tattoos are just some of the many things they had in common. When he took her to the tattoo shop as part of their first date, I was like “Girl, just marry the man.” When Love Takes Over was quite the swoon worth feel-good read. This book really had me feeling all gooey inside and I had the biggest smile on my face when I finished. Well done Ms. Brown.

What the hell!!! This story was the absolute cutest ever. It made me blush so freaking much. That's how cute it was. Maverick and Eden had this instant love/attraction to one another, and they held absolutely nothing back. This was written just how I like em. Lots and lots and lots of love 🥰🥰🥰

Soulmates
Mrs. Brown, when I say you came into this profession doing the darn thing it's not an understatement. This novella was fantastic with absolutely no drama. It was just a "love at first sight" romance where two souls knew they belonged together. And yes Maverick was bae, babe, boo, just Eden sweet thang. I love how he accommodated her lifestyle, she was vegan he researched so he can cook vegan for her. His mother also cooked vegan for her while her family made her feel bad about her diet and health. Eden and Maverick were made for each other. Their energies matched as well as their love for music. Oh, the first date was so unique because it started in a tattoo parlor, which was quite creative. Eden knew Maverick was her "one" she could just feel deep down in her soul. He was the first man she was willing to give him all of her.
This is one of those feel-good reads that make you realize that true love exists. Love has no time limit or restraint and when two souls meet that belong together it just happens. As they say, the stars just line up. Mrs. Brown brings 🔥 with every release, this one is no different. I most definitely recommend this book or any of her books.

Kimberly! What a beautiful story! Got me lusting and swooning over Maverick, like he my man! 😂Maverick and Eden were absolutely perfect for each other! I loved how they both were so shy at first, but once they opened up a bit; that connection was fire! So many common interests, and the way they complimented the others’ personality was beautiful! This was THE cutest Insta love story!! I smiled the entire time I read this love connection bloom between Maverick and Eden! When you stand in your truth and are firmly rooted in who you are, your person will find you! Eden was not willing to compromise when it came to who she wanted as a mate! Soul ties were extremely important to her and whomever earned that place in her life would be worth it. She had no idea Mr. Maverick Shaw was lurking in the shadows for months waiting to make his move. Timing was everything and when it came to these two, everything seemed to fall into place at just the right time. I’m so glad that these two decided to take a chance on each other! Maverick!!!! That first date was everything!!! Like my good sis Eden said “there’s nothing sexier than effort” and you sir tailored that date perfectly to her! When you know, you know ❤️🥰

Organic/Drama Free
This was a refreshing read, a beautifully crafted love story that was authentic and organic. The pairing of Maverick and Eden was genius and their intimate connection was genuinely felt. I appreciate this story because it truly focused on two individuals that vibed with each other and was sensitive to each other's needs and wants. I loved that it didn't include the usual drama of crazy exes, cheaters, jealous friends, hateful busy body kinfolks that was placed to put the couple at odds with each other. This was also my first read by this author and she owes me nothing. Enjoyable read.

The Takeover!!
I love, love, love this story . Maverick and Eden are so damn cool. I love the fact that is a love story that occurs over a very short time period. Maverick is a man of intention. He was clear in making sure Eden knew how he felt about her,and a man with intent to love you is dangerous in the most beautiful way! Eden was smart and beautiful but didn’t truly feel seen by people around her except her friend. Eden felt seen by Maverick and didn’t completely shy away from him or her feelings. This story was everything a romance is supposed to be!

Eden and Maverick met and fell in love in a matter of days. They developed a genuine connection and friendship that was so beautiful. If you’re looking for a book with any amount of drama this ain’t it. This book was full of pure love and nothing more. Very refreshing to read about and helps break up the monotony of reading books that have some drama in them.

This was such a delightful love story! Eden and Maverick were perfect for each other. They had quite a few similar interests, but they were also different in ways that complimented the other. Their first date was THEE BEST!!!! And it was because Mav chose activities specifically for Edens enjoyment. Theirs was a sweet, yet hotly passionate fall into love. Also, Hailey and Cree were awesome, supportive friends. I loved everything about this story! 5 ⭐ Stars!!!

Eden’s not your usual heroine yet her uniqueness from her lifestyle to career was an added plus.
