A sweet love story with a pinch of spice. Highly recommend!! Savannah and Charlie were great characters and the book had an easy and good flow. I’m impressed with the great writing as this is the authors debut novel. Can’t wait to read her other books and recommend her work to friends.

Review: A curvy FMC who's a tattoo artist that catches the eye of a s3xy fireman when he comes into her shop for some ink? YES PLZ! 👏🏻 L.J. Burkhart, you have captured my attention and made me a fan! The story of Savannah and Charlie was not what I expected, but I was very much a fan from just the first couple of chapters. Their chemistry was SO good, their character personalities I loved, and the overall story plot line was fantastic! 🖤 I was also very much a fan of the whole "I can fix her" from our MMC which you don't see as much since it's normally the other way around.🥹 Overall, I really did enjoy Savannah and Charlie's journey to their HEA 💍, though that cliffhanger at the end for some of our other character's has me like "WHAT?!", so I will definitely be continuing the series to see what else L.J. Burkhart has in store!😈

Instant-love

This was good but I found out I do not like instant love 😅

This was straight-up smut, there are a few triggers you should know - forced rape & domestic violence

I also disliked the relationship with the fmc parents that relationship was toxic and hard to read, sad to see how she put up with it.

Another thing, I know after a terrible relationship, you close yourself off yourself and love. The fmc really put herself down alot and always assumed the next guy would be like the last but you have to try and get back out there and see. Not solely based your on only one relationship you have been in.

BUT there was a happy ending 👰🤵‍♂

It's more like 3.75. I will be reading the rest of the series as I genuinely like the story, and the spice is just right! I enjoyed the character development and appreciate the back stories and added drama so it wasn't too mushy. I found myself distracted by the amount of "pop culture" call outs and local city/restaurant name dropping. The male perspective had me cringing a tad, as I can't imagine guys saying some of the things he said, such as "man bun," but I did enjoy the split perspectives. Overall, this was a great introduction to this genre for me, and I look forward to continuing reading about Savannah and Charlie's lives.

This was a very steamy romance, and I liked it. The girl who finds her style after leaving home and doesn't back down. I enjoyed Charlie and Savannah's story. My heart was pounding during Greg's appearance, and I wished that scene was longer - added to the thrill of the novel. I'll definitely be checking out the other novels in the series when I can get to them.

This book had me hook since chapter 1 could not put it down until I finished it. The spicy was tasteful. You will fall in love with these characters and care so much for them. There was a moment I wanted to throw hands at a character but they got taken care of. This is a must read!!!

I actually give this a 3.75, because it was good but very fast and sadly predictable. It's roughly 200 pages, and even though it's short it still has a good story line to it.

I really liked their love story. It was super cute and just enough spice to make it perfectly hot. I thought that the recovery from her abusive/assault was a little fast. I think that there is more to a recovery than what was presented in the book. She was assaulted then went and had sex with her boyfriend (who she had just been super pissed at). It just didn't seem super realistic, but hey it is what it is and people recover differently. It was really good besides that. I love how feisty Savannah is. Charlie is sooo hot and I love his dynamic with Savannah. This was a book that I could tell she was a new author, but I loved her story for these characters. LJ Burkhart is definitely on her way to becoming a fantastic author with super famous books, for sure!! I went to her book signing which was really fun and got to meet her. I bought her other books and was not disappointed!
