After exposing the nefarious plot behind the beauty pageant, Akira and his companions follow the hero's party to the fearsome Forest of Demise. There, a little lady blocks their path with an unusual weapon--a deadly robot! She won't let them through without a fight, but they'll need her help if they want to enter the demons' domain. Are Akira and his friends up for the challenge?
This is the novel where the protagonist begins working together with the other students who were summoned to the other world. In doing so, I believe the author is trying to show character growth on the part of the protagonist, but he largely fails in this goal. Instead the protagonist simply comes across as a different person. There was no gradual growth to get to this point; instead suddenly his entire attitude and way of living abruptly shift. There is a bit of an explanation for this sudden shift (), but it isn't sufficient to explain the shift, and you would expect a shift of becoming more withdrawn rather than more engaged from such an explanation.
Like the series but the 4th book had to many perspective shifts. I don't like when this happens. I thinks its better to keep your attention with one perspective. I was kinda bored when the other characters were " fleshed" out.
