This book was a present from my best friend from Korea. =) The drawings are very emotional and quite cute; there is a lot of feeling in them. For me it is fun to recognize that the drawings reflect a distinctly Korean scenery (probably unintentionally so, but it will be like a souvenir to me when I return back to my home country). The story is a little sad, but also weirdly uplifting; it makes the reader embrace their uniqueness, even if it means that there won't always be someone to appreciate it. I can't personally relate, because I know God is there to appreciate my being and that I'm never really alone, but I can imagine how this book as a gift can be a spark of hope to those who feel lonely. =)
