When Nirvana Lynn James' life is turned upside down by a heartbreaking confession of a classmate, the last thing she expects to find is love. In the midst of Nirvana trying to piece her life together, Roland Watson finds himself trying to piece her heart together. Problem is, time is not on their side. Just as quickly as Nirvana receives Roland, she loses him and is left to sort out the heartache that landed her in the arms of Roland along with the hurt of losing him. Pair that with trying to make a name for herself in a city she quickly made enemies in, Nirvana finds herself in some life changing situations. Only God can turn this mess into a masterpiece, and Nirvana can only hope and pray that peace, love, and Roland will find her again.

Pretty good

For me, the story was okay, but it felt really long and predictable. It was hard for me to get into this being an 16-17 year old girl, although I understood that the author wanted her that way because of all that she went through. I will read part 2 because I thought, for a first book, the author did well. There are a few parts in the storyline that I'd like to see how they turned out.

This book!

B. Love has been coming with it with her authors but this one right here is next level! This story is so rich and captivating that you can’t put it down. Nirvana experienced so much in such a short life and Roland was wise beyond his years because of all he experienced in his short life as well. Their love was kismet. I love everything about this story except that it ended. I can’t wait for part 2!

Amazing

Girl, I enjoy this rollercoaster. I felt every emotions, passion, and love between Nirvana and Roland. Nirvana is a warrior, survivor, and overcomer. I love how you show no matter what God is in control. Bring on part two because I need more of Ro.

Idk where to begin but I have chills right

This book was so hard to put down at times. The journey and trials and tribulations Nirvana went through would have broken some people. When God placed Roland in her life, he knew what he was doing. There were so many anecdotes throughout this story. I have cried at times while reading this. I love reading stories that make you reflect on your life and where you can improve on your life, even if it is a fictional story. Kudos to the author and I can't wait for part 2!!!

From the very beginning, this story was well fleshed out and the characters were endearing and personable, especially the titular character. While I was prepared for her story to unfold like your typical American teenager's, an unexpected yet not-too-unfamiliar wrench was thrown in there and we read how adversity pushed Nirvana to grow up a lot faster than even she thought was possible.

I also appreciated the author's subtle yet permeating infusion of faith and the different roads we all must take in order to discover our own relationship with God. No 2 peoples' journey will EVER be identical but, each is equally as important.

This story also reminded me of the gross animosity brewing within humanity, at large and teenagers, in particular. Nirvana had her own share of flaws but, having dealt with domestic abuse, firsthand, she never went looking for the trouble that always seemed to find her. In spite of that, she held her own. God has a subtly effective way of reminding us that, while we will feel lonely at times, due to circumstances, we are NEVER alone and He will place influential people in our paths to join us for some portion (if not all) of our pre-determined journey. That person was Roland, who was intuitive and spiritually grounded enough to lead Nirvana with GENUINE love to where she needed to be and go.

I would DEFINITELY recommend this title to young adult readers, in order to encourage them to hold on, ESPECIALY through life's ups and downs because they're only temporary and, as long as you have a dream AND corresponding goals, nothing should be allowed in your life to stop you from achieving them, no matter how long it takes.

Where do I start?! This book, I have to say, is truly amazing! I experienced so many different emotions and was brought to tears because the storyline was an inspiring one. The author, I can tell, took her time with creating a storyline that would have the reader wanting to know more. I truly enjoyed reading how Nirvana grew throughout the novel and can’t wait to see how things play out between her, Roland and the twins!! I’d recommend this book to anyone who needs uplifting because this book does just that! Once you start reading, you won’t be able to put the book down!! Kudos to the author! Great job!! Can’t wait for book 2!!

True inspiration

This is my first story to read from this author, and it's good. It draws you in and definitely keeps your attention. Nirvana goes through so much and is a survivor. Roland is a true inspiration and a good man. Even though they are young adults, you don't think about their age as you read. This story consumed me and left me wanting more. Ready to read the finale right now.

Loved it

I loved this book. It was a quick read even though it isn’t short. She makes you feel for nirvana by wanting to cheer for her to win and also get upset with her for some of her decisions. Everyone lady deserves a Roland and I’ll leave it at that. Her growth throughout the entire book was amazing and I can’t wait for part 2

Amazing!

I can’t believe this is your first book. It was so well written and interesting that I couldn’t put it down. I felt so bad for Nirvana, it’s like she can’t catch a break. Roland was everything! Can’t wait for part 2

Nirvana

This book took me a little longer than usual to read because there was so much to digest. The life experiences of Nirvana made her grow up a lit faster than she normally would have. But once you get to her meeting Roland, the love he shows her & the lessons he teaches her, you can't help but to want her mess to turn into a masterpiece. He encouraged her to a point that everything she wanted she went out and got. But the best lessons were the Godly ones. Excellent read!

This is truly incredible. I have found myself diving more into mysteries and self help books lately and I forgot how amazing a good urban novel could be. I have fallen back in love. The author brought me back to The Coldest Winter Ever and True to the Game. It was awesome. I literally read this whole book in one day because I couldn't put my tablet down! Congrats on your first, but certainly not your last, 5 star novel. Can't wait for part 2!!!
