The Deadly Seven were something I never could have prepared for. They came into my life like a silent stalker, claiming my heart and body, and I gave into them willingly. I love those seven broken souls, but even love has it’s limits.
Everything is a fragile mess of emotions as I struggle to decide who I can trust after they lied to me, and just how I’m going to get my Dad back. I want to trust them, but how many lies can my heart take?

Our family was solid before she walked into our world, turning it upside down and becoming our everything. Another person to guard and protect with everything we have, because now…if we lose her, we lose a huge piece of ourselves.
She’ll never be rid of us because we are her demons. We’ll burn the entire world down to prove our love to her.
Come hell or high water, our girl isn’t going anywhere.
*This is book 2 in a 4 book series that must be read in order.* **Dark romance with stalking, dub/con, non/con and much much more. Read TW before attempting to read this series!!** ***This is a reverse harem where the main character ends up with 3+ men. In this case, 7. If that isn’t your thing then this series is not the right one for you. This series also contains M/M scenes and relationships within the harem.***
I have suspended a LOT of disbelief, but this is absolutely the most unbelievable. I'm not even talking about the murderer/stalker/human trafficker trying to abduct Haliee or the fact that seven (7!!) vigilante murderers all fell in love with her at first sight (I wish I was joking) and decided to dedicate their lives to protecting her - I'm talking about the fact that those 7 grown adult male love interests who have had multiple sexual partners previously had to google what a period was.
Look, I love a dark romance. I love a RH. I'm not trying to judge the content of this series on any kind of moral grounds. It's just not good.
Entertaining as Hailee and the guys forge their relationship while trying to upend the kingpin after Hailee. The guys were endearing and totally devoted to their girl as she adapted to them. Along with the mystery there was a balance of levity too, some funny situations in which the more notable of personality led. Buying the entire store’s women’s products and chocolate, for instance.
What hindered the story was the character development, the individuality and behavioral consistency. Most of heroes came across similarly. They sounded and behaved the same, except those extreme personalities. Also, Hailee came across at times fierce yet others as childlike; her speech pattern and behavior fluctuated from strong and in control to whiney and throwing caution to the win. She made ill-advised decisions and indulged in behavior incongruent with her experience. And with the guys essentially coddling her and and acceding to her whim, they lost their alpha. For instance, regret for having lied to Hailee - and they didn’t really lie, just acted in a measure to protect her. Lastly, rampant grammatical errors and repetitive language; sometimes the text expressed the same point, written multiple ways, multiple times when the first sentence or thought captured and conveyed the message. This affected story progression, unnaturally drawing out
Some fun times for sure. Not a dark story. If a few areas were tightened, this would be a much more fluid read.
Seduction is the second installment within The Deadly Seven series. Just like the first book, we are dealing will all sorts of drama. Mostly surrounding our main girl, Hailee. She's either dodging Amber and Agent Daniels bullshit or trying not to get kidnapped by Dimitri. Seriously, her plate is full but at least she has some yummy men to distract her.
Not going to lie, when the guys found out about her period, I just about lost it. Buying out the store's lady products and chocolates was hilarious. Also, I'm slightly jealous for all the chocolate she now has. It was also cool that they googled everything there is to know about it so that they are more prepared. Definitely surprised me.
Other than that, I just want Amber and Daniels to go away. I would also like for Dimitri to stop torturing her poor father and release him. He just needs to get over that Hailee isn't is no matter how much he thinks she is. He can have Amber instead.
In the end, I need Ollie to be okay. I will be upset if he isn't.
There is no plot at all. There is, however, tons of sex scenes that aren't well written. The characters are always screaming and overreacting and it's just weird. I was confused because these characters are supposed to be grown? But they act like 12 year old boys. The heroine is supposed to be bad ass but all she does is cry and then randomly threaten to cut people, even the guys, just for saying things she doesn't want to hear. Again, it's supposed to remind us she is a badass but it's just weird and immature. This was worse than those random click bait stories you see sometimes.
I totally enjoy the Deadly Seven storyline. I love all of the guys characters. I like Haliee a lot, but she kinda comes across a bit immature at times, but it does not make me like her any less for it. I love how she's connecting more with the guys and especially with Ollie and Mathias. Those are probably my favorite guys in the group, well Creed is right up there as well with his crazy 🤪 😜 . Can't wait for book 3❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
- RH (7 guys + MM) - Witness protection - Vigilante group of “misfits” / killing for good - Likeable characters (FMC) - Good character development - DOV meets Mindf*ck - Many different personalities in the harem - Twins and brothers in the harem - Steamy - Angsty
Bloody cliffhangers poor ollie 😭luke better find him in time or I'll get stabby lol another awesome book by cassie I love all the characters especially as there all phycos
I love this series and have been going crazy for the next book. I couldn’t put the first book down so I wasn’t surprised this book was the same. It has the perfect level of darkness, with some humor to make it oh so addictive.
The book picks up where the first book ended. There is a lot more issues happening for Haliee and her guys. Haliee isn’t doing well with the aftermath of what happened and the guys are doing everything they can to make her feel better. I loved the scenes where they showed their vulnerable sides to show her she wasn’t alone. I also enjoyed how they came together to do things that they thought would make her happy even though some were better than others. We get more information on Ollie and Mathias’s backstories as well as some of the others. It showed how much they have been through and makes sense why they are part of the Deadly Seven.
Haliee and the guys are still dealing with Dimitri along with Agent Daniels. We learn a bit more about them though I still want to know how Daniels plays into everything. We also get some steamy scenes. I’m talking make sure you aren’t in public and/or have your partner nearby for when you finish reading. I swear these two authors are trying to give me a heart attack with these endings. But of course, it doesn’t stop me from wanting more. Now I’ll just be going crazy again until the next book.
I hate myself for reading this. I'm also going to hate myself when I read the next installment too. I read this in a day. I got sucked in the last 10% 😡
-red wings -angst -🍆 piercing -so much child trauma/ abuse -tiny amount of Domme/sub
Don't be mistaken, I don't even like it. Idk what's wrong with me. Anyway.. nothing was resolved from the last book. Her dad is still missing. Dimitri is still weirdly obsessed with Haliee. The mean girl is still mean (for whatever reason).
There was a brief mention of her bffl. At one point I thought she died, because that's a thing that happens in this book. Haliee got her period 🩸 and read smut by Brit Andrews📚.. The guys are so fucking clueless regarding basic female anatomy, but can have girls screaming orgasm in matter of 60 secs?.. nah 😮💨 get out of here with that bullshit. Speaking of orgasms.. there was quite a bit of finger banging 😏
I didn't care for all of the grammatical errors. And the random as fuck conversations. I also hate the term "cream" and "weeping cock" 😭🐓.. that shouldn't be a thing.
Poor Ollie. I need the sweet little nerd to be alright. Creed has grown on me. The author tried to redeem him in this book after that shit he pulled in Obsession. Obviously Ollie is adorable and I want to heal Mathias. Barren's dominance came out of left field, but I'm here for it. That leaves us with Corrden, Torren, and Lukas.. meh 🤷♀️
An embarrassingly thin plot, characters that are obsessed with the MC after maybe one conversation (?!?), and writing reminiscent of a 13 year old being edgy writing their first story, only it has explicit content.
Alright, I am gonna be honest and say this one barely got a 3 from me, and I'm shocked people gave it more.
Let's start with if you are going to have 7 men, a main female character, her dad and the "bad guy" as povs I expect some better insight or development. I feel like I'm sitting here begging for some of the guys characters to be flushed out.
Speaking of male characters, did we really have 4 chapters devoted to her period? And that 7 grown ass men don't know what a period is? Including that they need to Google what you use for it? I'm sorry but COME ON. At bare minimum you should not have a character asking if she needs to go to the hospital, then 3 chapters later going down on her while on it? So ridiculous.
Honestly idk what is really happening in this series, I'll finish it because I'm half way in and need to just see where it goes. This book though. Just not enough.
Now...review time. Seduction was more establishing relationships, with a bit less action. It was lovely to see more of them coming together, learning more of the guys' backstories, and getting more 🔥 scenes. We also learn more about Dmitri, and I'm definitely looking forward to finding out what the authors have in store for him!
But don't get me wrong with the above statement—there is still some action, and I may need to have a word with Cassie and Story regarding the ending.
How dare you leave me hanging like that??? SMH. I think you both need a time out on the naughty step to reflect on your actions. 😜
This book was a wild ride. Agent Daniels with the FBI is bad, surprise surprise. Mean girl/mayors daughter is with him and wants Hailee dead. Dimitri has her dad Brent and is hurting him to get to her. I have to say I like that there are chapters from his perspective, it’s really different but helps make him even more villainous. I like the backstory that we keep getting on all of the guys. Then end was a wild ride. I know Ollie is okay but that was intense. Dimitri is totally unhinged now.

I love this group! Matty’s story rips my soul open. I love how dedicated the guys are to the FMC. The ending! 😬😳😳 that ending will be the darn death of me!
Cassie and Story pulled the metaphorical rabbit out out the hat. This book delivers on so many fronts, it pulls emotions from your very soul whilst simultaneously crushing your heart into irreparable fragments.
Haliee is heart broken by the loss of her Dad, and wears her pain in her sleeve but it also lights a fire in her soul that's shows you how much strength she really has. Even with all the treats coming at her on multiple fronts Haliee finds it within herself to be the soul that the deadly seven need. She embraces them without question, loves them without demanding it being returned and will do whatever it takes to help sooth the burdens of their past.
I totally adore the dead seven, there is so much growth and depth from them all in this book that I feel likes they're caterpillars ready to emerge from their cocoons. I love Creeds no holes barred love and his humour although twisted is absolutely epic. Lukes agony calls to your heart he knows he's messed up but will do whatever it takes to make it up. Matty, oh my days this beautifully broken soul, shattered me but there is so much hope for him and for him to love, his character arc is going to be amazing. We get so much emotional depth from all of the deadly seven that I can't wait to see them paint the world red and unalive those who threaten their girl.
There are so many different plays being made against Haliee and we've only been given a glimpse so far, but trust me when I say even the deadly seven don't realise how precarious everything truly is. Is anyone who they say they are, who's is an ally and who is the real enemy?
The cliff hanger will break you, it will shred your heart leaving you to offer your tears, your heart and your very soul for the worst not to happen.
My heart lawd I don’t know if my heart can take it!!! These two ladies put you through it to say the least!!! Haliee is still a baddie but she is being put through the ringer after what happened at the end of Obsession. I freaking love this girls strength and ability to look at every situation from all angles even while she’s hurting and worried. I love her growth and not just flying off on her own she understands the danger and that she doesn’t have to go through this alone. I am loving that we are learning more of the back story to each of our guys and let me tell you these ladies dug MFKN deep with these emotions I’m feeling. They touch you deep in your soul and it was heartbreaking. I feel like all of our guys even though they have each other we’re all still a bit broken and missing the other piece of their hearts and Haliee was that missing piece. Together they are one unit one family and the depths that these guys would go to keep their girl safe knows no bounds. But our girl Haliee can be a now woman wrecking crew all by herself when it comes to protecting any one of her guys. That freaking ending seriously what are you guys doing to me!! I will be on pins and needles waiting for the next book!
I love to see the heroine Haliee coming out of her shell and being more confident in herself and is not that girl see saw in the first book. She has claws, ya better watch out Amber hoe. I am so tired of hearing Haliee being called whore... bruuh that insult is so old and crappy. Says the whore herself(amber and her mean squad) . I like to get to know the guys better in this one, understanding their dark pasts and stuff. I was thinking of Santos and Darius from the reaper incarnated series by R.E bond and C.E rene when i was reading about Creed and Olivers relationship. That cliffhanger at the end... give me the next book plz
This series started off so strong and then book two just kinda flopped. Haliee’s character became frustrating, parts were boarding on cringe and at times the plot somehow felt both drawn out and as forgotten about as her friend Kristen.
I do love how most of the guys are written, though I do wish the spotlight was shared amongst them more. Some make a frequent appearance and others have barely been mentioned in comparison. But I can appreciate that it would be difficult to write such a large RH so props to the author for managing to pull it off in the first place.
Despite not loving this second book I’ll continue with reading the others cause it’s still promising, maybe things will bounce back in the next one.
I've been waiting on this one since finishing Obsession and wasn't sure where it was going to go, but I wasn't expecting that ending.
Haliee is having a tough time with the events that happened at the end of Obsession, but it has brought her closer to all the guys. We get some more back story from some of them this book and it's definitely heartbreaking.
The spice definitely has stepped up in this one 🥵🥵 I love seeing their connections deepen.
I have been willing my brain to write this review all aafternoon. I am in shock over that ending 😭😭 I can't wait to read what comes next!!
Seduction, Book 2 in The Deadly Seven series by Cassie Hargrove, hit kindle unlimited today, and I utterly devoured this book.
Once again, Cassie Hargrove has given us another masterpiece. Seduction has all of the hallmark traits you come to expect from this author: a harem of over the top possessive and obsessive psychopaths riding to the rescue, a tough as nails heroine, 5/5 on the spicy scale, and the ending that leaves you screaming for more.
That ending killed me, I cannot wait until the next one. This series is so good, maybe a little odd but all the best ones are. I love the seven, Lukas still annoys me a bit but I love the others. This is definitely 18+ and there is a lot of trigger warnings to look out for. There is mention of rape, SA, human trafficking, drugging, childhood abuse, torture and murder. I maybe missing a few things.
This book was amazing !!! The guys really took care of Haliee as she processes everything that is happening around her. I can’t believe how this book ended and I think I need to have a moment that the next book is not out yet and I need to find out what happened to all the guys. Love love love.
Haliee’s dad is missing Lukas, Torren, Mathias, Creed, Oliver, Corden and Barren are pulling out all the stops to find him Haliee is heartbroken when she learns some hard truths, truths that her father kept hidden from her purposefully, to protect her Dimitri is taunting Haliee with letters, gifts and photos, her nerves already frayed with what she is still having to deal with, if Dimitri wasn’t enough she still has to contend with Amber’s idle threats, even when they find out that Amber could possibly have aligned herself with those dead set of claiming Haliee. Haliee continues to develop her relationships with each of the guys, her light grounding there darkness, each continuing to solidify there love for her everyday, making them realise she is it for them, as they are for her, all that matters to them is her happiness and protecting her, which they do valiantly, for her they are somewhat becoming better versions of themselves. Having never been with a girl before, it’s bittersweet for the guys to take an avid interest in there girl, circumnavigating the ins and outs of how to take care of her, and her needs, but also going to every effort to give her life experiences, to give her new memories, to outweigh the nightmares that she and the guys have. Haliee comes to learn more about her guys, some of them sharing with her the traumas of there past, and through there retelling she comforts them through the worst, never once judging them for what they’ve gone through. Haliee continues to prove her worth, still not afraid to stand up for herself, in standing up to them and calling them out, her jealousy an instant turn on for her men, continuing to openly flirt with them, there love language developing further. Haliee loves her men fiercely as fiercely as they love her. Haliee has bloomed, coming out of herself, she has developed her confidence in her s*xuality, exploring her limits, boundaries, wants and needs, enjoying the immense pleasure each of her men bring her. Please head the trigger warnings in this book. This book has it all murder, vengeance, revenge, madness, mayhem, bullying, stalking, duplicity, twists, turns, excitement, laugh out loud moments, love, trust, truths and betrayal. Get ready to be taken on an exhilarating ride, this book will have you on the edge of your seats , because there are moments that will make you laugh, make you gasp, have you feeling shocked saying what! This book captured me from the beginning right to the end. This author knows how to write and I’ll be back for more. And those MM, MF and MFM s*x scenes, the steam was off the charts and had all of the feels. But that ending though… where two of the guys lives hang in the balance, what becomes of them, we won’t find out til book three!
