Cam’s found love in the most unexpected place. Sahmere aka Take Down is everything she never knew she needed. However, as things get deeper, she begins to question exactly who’s the guy she gave her heart to. Is Sahmere really who he presented himself as, or is there someone far more sinister, hiding beneath?
this was such a disappointing follow up for the first book. all sahmere and cam did was hunch and argue. the plot was missing in action for most of the book. most of the book the only time cam and shamere talked was during sex.
cam had ZERO agency. i completely understand the insecurities that come after giving birth but it just felt overboard after a while. cam said she didn’t want to be a “cum rag” for shamere and that’s EXACTLY what the author turned her into. shamere practically forced her to have sex TWO weeks after she gave birth then refused to get her a plan b when she asked for it.
forced her to go on a trip with multiple women he had relations (including one of his baby mamas) without telling her who these women were. then gaslit her when she confronted him about it. and for some strange reason he could not understand why she was so insecure and spazzing every other day.
there was nothing likable about shamere in this book. he was downright abusive. he was constantly screaming he loved cam but pulled a gun out her when she suggested breaking up. then drugged her and held her hostage when he thought she was involved with his friend.
mind you all of this happened within the first five week of their twins lives. them kids spent more time with the nanny and granny than they did their parents. then had they had the nerve to make another child before the twins were two months old. FOOLISH 🫠
Lawd, this ghetto love story had way more drama and toxicity than I anticipated. The honeymoon phase didn’t last long at all. Sahmere and Cameron tap danced on my last damn nerve. All these two did was argue, fight, and f*ck and, not necessarily in that order. They were way more toxic than Bambi, King, Shayla, and Tristan combined. Yeah, their toxicity was on a completely different level. Almost immediately, Cameron became clingy and irrationally jealous. Anytime that man was out of her sight, she automatically assumed he was f*ckin’ somebody else. Then, her gullible azz let Nae get in her head and had her distrusting Sahmere for no reason at all. Sahmere was actin’ like a typical ninja and pressin’ Cam for sex two weeks postpartum and her silly azz let him dumpster dive all in her guts 14 days after giving birth to twins. I think TF not! I can appreciate the intense love Cam and Sahmere had for each other but, oftentimes, it was too intense and violent as hell. She slicin’ his azz up with a knife and threatening to leave every other argument, he puttin’ a gun to her head and kidnappin’ her when she threatens to leave, and in the midst of all that drama, they’re humpin’ each other like rabbits like none of that shyt ever happened. Whew chile! It’s the ghetto ratchetness for me. Cameron and Sahmere definitely had that crazy toxic love I want no parts of but, it worked for them. Take It Down 2 is not the ghetto love story I signed up for. Cameron and Sahmere had a very bumpy and chaotic love journey and, honestly, I don’t know if I enjoyed the ride or not. But, in the end, they got the HEA they fought so hard for and, for that, I’m proud of them.
Whew Cam done became a crazy bxtch after getting life changing dxck 🤣. TD meet his match with Cam. Whew this one toxic ass couple. All the snakes got theres..they don’t call him TD for nothing 😏😌
Ok, when I read the first book I enjoyed it and the main characters as well. This book not so much but it was an ok story. I didn’t really like cam that much in this book, I felt like she became super insecure and every other page was her snapping out on TD because of what someone else said. I don’t really feel like we got that growth from them like that, there whole relationship felt like it was based off of sex because that’s all they did to try to fix whatever issues. TD was ok too but he was a little crazy and thought sex could fix everything. Overall good book, just felt like it was missing something.
This book was a mess! As good as the first one was...this was a total 180. There really was no real need for this book. It was ridiculous, and unrealistic, and very, VERY immature.
I get that its a erotic novel, but the spice scenes need major work....and the storytelling here....was not there. It was beyond disappointing.
The characters take a nose-dive for me.... I mean smelling his D, because you are so obsessed and don't trust him? Having sex 2 weeks after giving birth to TWINS!!! The amount of sex in general is so unreal....
I won't even comment on the use a slang.... its awful here.
The first part of this was...cute.... gave a little bit of Demon's Dream vibe.... this one just fell all the way off the rails....
Surprise Surprise ♥️♥️ This drop was such an unexpected treat. I can always get more and more from all Miss Jackson’s characters but to get more from these 2 so quickly was everything! Sahmere really displayed why he is Take Down in every sense of the word! He don’t play about Cam and Cam is the right woman for it! That Granny, Greta and Sidney were hilarious with their observations😆 Now I know we will get more from the Lil situation building with Nene and the fella’s.
Ok! Just like the first book, this was a roller coaster ride. This book had me in a chokehold and I was so engrossed that I didn’t make as many highlights and notes as I usually do. Cameron ends up falling out of love with her boyfriend and in love with the lick. As Cameron and Sahmere get to know each they take you on ride with all the twists and turns. Loved Cameron’s hilarious a$$ grandmother and all the drama and toxic foolishness that occurred in the book. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Cameron and Sahmere both turned out to be unhinged, I guess they truly belonged together. These two was on demon time practically this entire book when people weren't trying to unalive people. I ate this like Sunday dinner so I guess I'm just as delu-lu as the rest.
Sahmere abd Cam had that crazy toxic love. I was here for every bit of it. I loved how they fought and made up. I’m glad they figured it out in the end.
I love this couple 😚🥰😚🥰😚 Is it just me or are Nicole Jackson’s books getting freakier and freakier??? No matter. I’m here for it all 😂

First and foremost, I don't EVER want any d*ck that's going to have me acting as crazy as Cameron and even all the other women Take Down was with. My God, Ginger was trying to take the d*ck from him forcefully. Lord, I'll gladly maintain my sanity if given the choice, Lol. That said, I loved Cam and TD’s devotion and love for one another.
I found Cam’s constant insecurity about TD possibly cheating on her a bit annoying, though, because it seemed like she was sniffing his d*ck every other chapter, looking for proof of something that wasn't happening. However, I feel like the author did that intentionally to drive home how crazy TD’s attention made the women he encountered. Cameron went from this confident, bodacious woman to someone willing to catch a charge at the thought of losing her man to another woman.
TD loved Cam just as hard, which was evident when he kidnapped her when she tried to leave him. It was even crazier that she liked being his captive because she had his undivided attention while being locked in a room for days, lol. I loved everything about this crazy series.
Cam and Sahmere were designed for one another, anatomically, emotionally and, intellectually. Their groove was unmatched and the love story unparalleled. They were too involved and addicted to one another. It is the reason that Ginger got that surgery by Cam, served up icy cold without anesthesia and Jose received that send off from Sahmere that only a baller reaps when he violates. Kesh was a lunatic but smart enough to know when to throw in the towel. I guess her One prison bid over the wrong man, aka TD, was enough. This book was in no way near my favorite Nicole Jackson read but it was worth the money and time.
This was so toxic lol. I didn’t think they was gonna make it at first. Both unhinged and possessive but Cam did not like Sahmere walk over her which I loved. It got a lil domestic at one point cuz Cam was putting paws on people. Sahmere loved that girl down tho so I glad when they got it together. Ginger deserved exactly what happened to her. She thought Cam was too laid back til that girl sat up lol. Bet she know something. This was a messy time. Glad granny called them out about hardly raising them babies. How you been on two vacations and your babies less than six weeks old? Crazy. Overall enjoyed. Very spicy. I do feel like I have a couple questions but would recommend.
Again with the wrong author’s bio and pic. Amazon need to get it straight but we know which Nicole wrote this page turner. I love that these were fresh characters and the plot a little different from her norm. Like usual, it was well written with only a few editing mistakes. I feel we may be getting another book or two from some of the side characters. Can’t wait. In the meantime, go get Ms. Jackson’s latest and step into the crazy world of Sahmere aka Take Down and the woman he can’t keep his hands off of, Cameron (Cam).
Yeah maybe they do deserve each other bc they both crazy as hell 😭 I enjoyed this book way more than the first one. The craziness that happened throughout this book. I just laughed the whole time because it’s so funny 😭 every time they talk to each other they were just basically arguing, Cam jumping to conclusions and him just being done with her. And then later in the book, he threatened her pulling guns out on her, choking her and then them fighting 😭 it was very entertaining. Toxicity at its finest
I dnf at 7% because of the simple fact is the first book was little better than this one but Im not liking the way the author made the female character and the male character in such a way where I hate them both because why are they like this and why did female character become so insecure after having kids with someone who didn't want her fr he was playing games with her and she fell for his bullshit 🤔 I definitely have questions and concerns about the author and why she made this book the way she did it.
I have read each and every book and this one is my favorite..Erotica from this Author is the best. I would love a part 2 to this book. It was well put together and. I cant wait to see what Nicole has tapped into besides her other style of writing however we still need the hood novels that I can still read over and over. With this book both characters deserved each other and the happiness was well given. I think that Londann could use a story of her own
I have to admit this was Ana amazing book Nicole has gained me as a reader again when I say everything tied together like it was supposed to and at the perfect time and I don’t blame cam for handling ginger and sahmere I would’ve took action to bc why you playing with me glad dontre got what was coming to him the whole book is a great read so everyone should read it
I wish we were able to do half stars. This was a 2.5/5 for me. Cam became so… dickcombobulated if you all are catching my drift. I love urban fiction/street lit but I really try to avoid negative black stereotype and toxic love. I read it all in 3 hours because I finished the first book in 2-3 days, it wasn’t a horrible follow up but rather a quick one. I didn’t like how cam was doing things (scratching/slicing) the last did to “TD”.
Where talking about a couple who couldn't get enough of one another that was for sure Cam and Sahmere. Every chance they had they were tearing each other clothes off. With a little drama sprinkled in here and there by people who were so jealous of the chemistry. All in all the love and lust won over the hate!
I didn’t really like this installment as much as the first. Cam was way onto insecure and it seemed as the story just moved to fast. The grammatical errors were less than the first book but still there. The only thing I really enjoyed about this book is the insight to Hawk, Jay and Nene
Toxic af 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I like to believe they was created specifically for each other because they are literally willing to kill anyone that stands in their way of each other 😮💨 🗣️Gingerbread you got exactly what you deserve baby girl , you play with fire and trust and believe you will get burned . I SEE WHY THEY CALLED HIM TD because he was taking them bihhhhhhsssss down through it lol I get it now 🤣🤣
Some people might think what did I just read but let me tell you, I have never read a story like TD and Cams story. They are crazy freaks and if you’re a freak like really freaky then this story is for you. I need more of these two. I love how Cam put everyone in there place and so did TD. I wish I could give this story 100 stars.
I’m so glad Cam ended up with TD. They match energy both in & out the bedroom. What Dontre, Kesh & Ginger failed to realize is that, different people bring out different energy out of someone. Unfortunately Ginger learned the hard way. Dontre too. Respectfully I hope Kesh stays in her lane, before she mess around & find out too! Another BOMB 10 outta 10!
The last book of a two book series and I honestly didn't know which way it was going to go. You had me stressed the heck out Nicole. This book was so good. You had me in fear of my girl's life for a minute for real. This story was crazy and intense but I loved it. You kept it cute at the end.
It was definitely a good read! I loved the conflicts and the spice. Both books were really good and I read both in a day or less. My only complaint is all the errors. Both books needed to be better edited due to typos and grammatical errors. But all that aside these were my first 2 books by this author and she didn’t disappoint. I’m definitely now a fan.
