A Stuck Together Suspense Romance

She's was ready to shake off her royal shackles but the off-limits bodyguard gets caught in her disaster.
Will they have one night together, or will he be the knight who saves her life and steals her heart forever?

Wolf Black

Nobody said the job description at Agile called for getting married. Breaking into a Palace. Chasing a mysterious relic around the globe. Or giving up my heart.

I thought when I got out of the SAS my life was going to be nice and simple. But now I’m thinking I should ask for hazard pay.

Kate
Just when I manage to get away from the island and start my quest for a normal life, I get blindsided.

By Wolf Black.

Oh wait, it wasn’t him that blindsided me first.
It was the otherworldly gemstones that have been hidden in my family for decades. And the threat of unrest on my island.

But Wolf shows up and I start to think maybe Knights in shining armor aren’t just for fairytale princesses. If only I can live long enough to find out.

Forbidden Knight is a light-the-pages-on-fire romance with a gorgeous former SAS soldier and a strong willed royal who’s determined to save her island. Even if it puts her life on the line. Wolf’s not only her chance at living, but a the Happy Ever After she’s always dreamed of. This is a standalone or can be read with the other Agile Security & Rescue books. No cheating and no cliffhangers.

Get ready to curl up with Wolf and Kate, the unlikely lovers, for their wild ride to forever togetherness.

Dangerous heat. Unforgettable heroes. Sizzling happy-ever-afters.

Thanks so much for checking out my bio. I'm Jenna Gunn, author of over 25 romance novels including multiple best selling titles.

My passion is writing thrilling action, high heat, suspense and rescuer romance books with fun and unexpected plot twists.

I love deep characters who overcome pain, mistrust, and damaged pasts to find their way alongside the mate of their dreams.

The men and women in my books have flaws, heart, fears and passion, just like we do—layers that make them slip into your heart.

All of my books are first person and include two Point of View. I mainly write MF contemporary romance, but have written MFM menage. It was super fun to write with three POVs.

Many books are in a series so you get to know the families, (5 brothers in the Archer Brothers Series, 5 brothers in The Eden Mountain Firefighters, and Teammates in the Agile Security and Rescue Series). All of the books are standalone and can be enjoyed that way too.

I've accomplished my dream as an author when my reader can drop into a book and forget the rest of the world.

In addition to dreaming up delicious heroes, I'm an avid to traveler, surfer, snow skier, and water lover. I'm known to spend long periods on the road with the husband and our pup in our camper van where I always pick up inspiration for my next book. It amazes me just how well Jenna Gunn can capture her reading audience from the very beginning, and with “Forbidden Knight”, she does it again! Her writing improves with every book. It is so much more than just a romance novel. There’s action, suspense, mystery, and heat from the start, and the passion continues throughout the book.

The intense sexual chemistry is so well expressed in the excerpt:
Rain falls harder, dripping down my neck, soaking my dress. It glistens on Wolf’s skin, making me want to lick it off. I’m surprised steam isn’t rising off of us as the heat builds higher from the tease.

There is so much depth to this story. One crucial factor in this book is recognizing both the fragility and the power of trust, and how easily trust can be broken. Wolf has been hurt in the past and swears to himself that he will never trust another woman. Regardless of his intense attraction toward Kate, and the mutual interests he shares with her, Wolf is furious when he discovers that she has secrets that she won’t share and has lied to him about several important things. This story takes the readers on an incredible and imaginative journey! The ending is unexpected and has a wonderful happy ending.
This is the fourth book in the Agile Search and Rescue series. It’s amazing that every book in this series manages to outdo the previous book! Although it’s not necessary to read the prior books, it includes references to characters in the previous books of the Agile series. The previous books were just as intense and amazing as this one.

Another great standalone story in Jenna Gunn's "Agile Security and Rescue" series.
Marshall is putting together a hand picked team to take on jobs that others perhaps wouldn't attempt, he was lucky enough to have a millionaire backer who has his own personal reasons to have faith in them.
Kate was to be the newest recruit, that is until things went pear shaped, Wolf Black, British born ex SAS is the team member who introduced Kate but little did he know that Kate was hiding one ginormous secret, a secret that was to change all their lives, she wasn't who she purported to be, things were much more complicated and Wolf was going to be caught in the middle of one unholy mess, finding himself married to Kate after knowing her for only a few hours, a marriage that couldn't be annulled, was only the start.
Unidentified mystic stones, a remote island, greed, a thirst for power and a ruler who had been blindsided were just part of it.
This story follows the journey of Kate and Wolf as they try to secure the island, of Wolf's jealousy of Mikail, Kate's friend and protector and of course the magnetic chemistry between Kate and Wolf that quickly turns to love.
I really like the characters that the author has created, it was lovely to catch up with Marshall, Scotch and Simona, Cole and Sierra again and I now look forward to reading Mikail's story.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow, honestly wow. I haven’t read this author before but I’m seriously glad I was recommended this book by the cover model, Isac.
It’s well written with such detail and emotion, the twists and suspense were perfection. Loved the dynamic between the main characters, that sexual tension and push/pull.
This book moves at a swift pace, full of action - I couldn’t put it down until the very last word, I was completely sucked into the storyline.
Overall a fantastic book, I’m going to grab the other books from this series and read them asap.

This was excellent. Full of sass, drama, mystery, intrigue and steamy romantic times. So great!!
This was about Kate the newest member of the Agile Security team but not stated yet. She needs help to evacuate her and her grand mother from her island home due to problems. Wolf flies in to help.
This book is so much more than what I said. It was non stop, action and adventure focusing around Wolf and Kate. Her grandmother was an absolute joke also.
Jenna Gunn writes a fun, exciting story that just grabs me from the start. I didn't want it to let me go and it didn't for a second.
The characters and mix of personalities just took the story to the next level.
There really is so much I could say about this book but seriously you need to read it to find out how good it is. Well worth it!!!!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed reading, Forbidden Knight: A Stuck Together Suspense Romance
by Jenna Gunn because it was such an intense and mysterious and steamy story about Wolf and Kate. I loved the intensity of Wolf towards Kate. He was a very alpha male and he had such intense feelings for Kate immediately. I loved Kate's character because she was trying to break away from the life that her dad had planned out for her. There was definitely mystery in this story and there was a bit of drama that got intense for a bit. I really hoped that Wolf and Kate would be together for real. Kate's Nan was a hoot. Loved her and whatever came out of her mouth. I would highly recommend reading this book. It was so great!!!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book I have read in this series, all I can say is, What a fantastic story! I absolutely loved reading this book. The characters were strong and relatable. The storyline was strong and really pulled you in so you felt like you were a part of it. I loved the humour of Kate, a runaway princess and Wolf Black, an ex SAS but now bodyguard. When they find themselves married and in a heap of trouble, your fingernails will suffer and your heart will beat firmly and then they have their happily ever after.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

This was the fourth book in the Agile Security & Rescue Series but can be read as a standalone. There's an advantage to reading the other books in the series because of the interconnecting characters. You'll love Wolf and Kate's story. No shortage of drama, suspense or passion. This book will grab your attention right at the beginning and keep you page turning until the end. The characters are well liked and fun. A great book with some twists, a little suspense and lots of passion. I read an advance copy via the author an voluntarily chose to review it.

Kate and Wolf meet by coincidence and then meet again. This time Kate is in need of Agile security services. Kate has worked hard to save her island home. While Wolf has spent the last ten years avoiding relationships. These two have crazy chemistry and it scares them both to death! Love this broody action packed hot romance!

“My voice is husky as fuck when I say, “I should forget your name.”
Flatly, she says, “Easy enough, since you don’t know it.”
Talk about fucking trainwrecks…”

Ok beautiful people let’s talk Wolf!
I was so stoked when Jenna announced that Wolf was next in the Agile Security & Rescue Series!
Wolf is Simona’s brother, a retired SAS agent and has appeared in both Dr. Trouble and Off-Limits Protector.

The man is strong, broody, stubborn as an ox and a commitaphobe. True he has his reasons, but the fact that the men is so he’ll bent in staying alone and thinks he doesn’t even have a heart anymore only makes this story even more interesting and beautiful.

“I can’t really explain what she’s done to me. But it involves the death of a lot of brain cells, apparently.”

Wolf and Kate are attracted to each other since they first meet, at a chance encounter.
Unfortunately for Wolf, instead of getting a date, he gets the chance to help a Princess escape and gets himself hitched in the process.
Kudos to Nan! Jenna always writes the best side characters! Nan was a force of nature. Sneaky, funny, savvy has her age… always down to do something crazy.

“I can’t imagine what Wolf going apeshit looks like.”
He shakes his head. “Let’s just say it involved me running around the complex in a towel with a gun. A lot of people scurried off to hide.”
That image makes me grin, even though the situation is anything but amusing. Wolf in a towel… I’m surprised women weren’t running at him, instead of away. “Two guns, actually.”
I might have just seen the slightest of grins on his face.”

Kate comes from a royal family. But despite her royal origins, she’s a very down to earth, hands on, want to be normal kind of girl.
When her island and the people that live there are in danger, she sets herself to figure out a way to solve the mystery and help them.
When things get to dangerous, the Agile team steps in!

I loved Kate as our heroine.
Despite her tight upbringing and her royal status she’s so relatable and has a heart of gold!

“Life has delivered me another fuck you.
Only, this time, it comes with a glimmer of hope that refuses to die”

This book is action filled, with a beautiful romance blossoming slowly but surely between the MC.
It’s a little spicy, but not s much as the previous ones.
I’m becoming more and more addicted to Miss Jenna’s writing style and how she blends action and romance to a perfection creating a story that is hard to put down.

Can’t wait for Mako, Mikail and Marshall’s books.

Arc kindly provided by the author.

A fun and light-hearted romantic suspense.

This is the first book from Author Jenna Gunn that I’ve read, and somehow I’ve also managed to find myself reading out of order with FORBIDDEN KNIGHT being book four in the Agile Security series. Honestly though, this made absolutely no difference to my understanding or enjoyment. In fact, I’ll be going back to the start and reading Book One after this.

I love the military and security genres, and with a surprise marriage and forced proximity thrown in, there was everything to enjoy. It was a fun and light-hearted read, with enough romantic suspense within it’s plot that it most certainly was not fluffy. In short, I loved it and read it in short order.
I absolutely loved Kate. She was brilliantly written as an elegant woman who managed to find herself in plenty of trouble due to her adventurous and rebellious spirit, especially when egged on by her Nan who was a massive hoot. If there is one character who will lift the life of a book, it is an eccentric and hilarious older person who definitely won’t act their age!!! She was my hero.

Wolf was protective and much to his own concern, very attracted to Kate. In fact when his protective stance ended with him in a surprise marriage, the attraction between them almost hit the skids due to his extreme aversion to the marital state. If there was anything about this book, and about Wolf that let the book down, it was in him acting like a petulant child for a short time at a crucial interval. Just disappointing.

My feelings were, however, short-lived as Ms Gunn moved the plot along at a cracking pace and soon had me damn near laughing my titties off with the witty repartee between two jealous former adversaries who eventually saw eye to eye.

This was such a fun read for me between some heavier reads that I had lined up, and it’s one that I highly recommend. Easily 4.5-Stars 💜✰•

Kate is the princess of an island with some rather patriarchal, misogynistic laws and traditions. She meets Wolf, stands him up, and when she meets him again they get married to free her from her father. She has some secrets and bad guys that want something she's hiding. Wolf is a bodyguard and wants to keep her safe but she gets weird when he tells her to do things. He thinks he's done with love because somebody cheated on him once. Some of their relatives think they're perfect for each other, some don't.

I liked the chemistry between the couple and this was an entertaining story, but I could have done with a bit more explanation. There were some confusing plot developments that got sort of glossed over so I had lingering questions after finishing the story. What sort of danger were Kate and her granny in the beginning? If Kate knows she's in danger why does she get into more dangerous situations by evading Wolf? What would the selling of the top soil accomplish except decreasing the chances that anything green grows on the island? If the bad guys had access to her apartment why didn't they just steal the things she went back for when they changed the locks? When they roughed up the villain, what did he say? Did they ever get the money back? Why did anyone want to make the other guy think of himself as her fiance? Why is the island so weird about women, or at least princesses? Was her father really just a dupe who didn't know what the goons were up to in his guarded palace? The prose incorporates quite a few broken sentences which at times create a nice breathy, emotional mood but sometimes it seems a bit choppy. Kate has secrets but she feels she has very good reason to keep them. When she meets Wolf she finds someone that doesn't just attract her but he feels like her missing piece. Wolf is shut off from love after a disastrous first marriage. When he meets Kate he thinks it can just be a fling because he'll never love again. When they have to solve a mystery and save an island nation from disaster, they can't help but fall in love.

The basic premise for this story is interesting. It starts to fall apart pretty quickly after the first round of hijinx where Wolf with the help of Sierra and Cole rescues Kate and her grandmother from Isla Rosa. The rest of the story was readable but it just never felt believable or realistic. I like the appearances of characters from the rest of the series. The introduction of Mikail was interesting.

How old is Wolf? Don't just call him old man but not give his age. What the heck happened to Simona? It's like she's a different person since she married Scotch. How does it make any sense that they flew back and forth to Isla Rosa so many times without being totally exhausted? Why did Wolf all of a sudden decide to trust and love Kate in the middle of the mess trying to save Isla Rosa? Given his issues, it made no sense. You might have guessed that I found this story kind of frustrating.

This is a contemporary story set on Isla Rosa and in Utah. If you have read the other stories in this series, go ahead and read this one. I don't think I'd recommend reading this as a stand alone story. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kate meets Wolf Black while getting gas and after a short talk he offers her his business card for Agile Security and Rescue when she asks about a logo on his hat and that she was looking for a job in security. Not really thinking she would follow up. Then he receives a text from her thanking him because she has an interview. When they make plans to get together she doesn't show he isn't happy.
Kate was looking forward to seeing him but when she discovers her grandmother is in danger she flies to her home on Isla Rosa not letting him know. She hasn't even started her new job and now she needs the Agile Security and Rescue team help to get her and her grandmother off the island.
Wolf and Kate have an undeniable chemistry but he is scarred by his past and is committed to never falling down that rabbit hole again. When they are pushed into marrying each other to save their lives they think it's only temporary but what happens when that's not necessary the truth?

Their story has action packed suspense, danger and intrigue with twists, turns and secrets along with a budding passionate romance. The secondary characters were funny, intelligent, intense, personable and contributed to the flow of the storyline. I loved her Nan (grandmother) she was a hoot.

I received a free ARC through Booksprout an I'm voluntarily leaving my review.

Vegas wedding? That was yesterday. Today is Isla Rosa wedding 🤩

This book is again just so crazy 🤣 I so love this series. And I don't know where to begin...

With the crazy wedding? Or with Kate's badass grandmom? Or with the mysterious gemstones?
Or with Wolf's trust issues and relationship phobia?
Yes, so much happens in this book.
And then there is this magical chemistry between Wolf and Kate. It feels like they are fated mates. But with Wolf's past... But even Kate isn't interested in more than, you know 😉 Nobody knows she is the princess of Isla Rosa. Wolf and the Agile team only know she needs to be freed from the island with her Nan. And here starts the thing with the crazy wedding which is all Nan's idea. I love this 80-years old woman 🩷 And it's not only me who loves her 😁

I also loved Kate and Wolf so much. Wolf already appears in book 2 for the first time. I can't say when and why, because it would spoil book 2. But I'm so happy for his HEA now ☺️
Kate is a strong woman who tries to get independent. I think we all know that's not easy as a princess, and btw the only child of the king. The rules in this country are very special 🙈

And without spoiling, because the whole series is already published, we will see someone again soon 😉

I voluntarily read an arc of this book and am leaving an honest review. I couldn’t read this book fast enough! Wolf is the type of alpha male that I absolutely love to read about. He’s been hurt before, he’s guarding his heart and once he falls, it’s hard and permanent. Wolf has trust issues and when he meets Kate he’s already on guard. But his protective instincts kick in putting him in a position he never thought he’d be in again…being married! Kate loves her Nan, she’ll do anything to protect her, even stand up Wolf on their first “date”. She’s passionate, loves her island home and has a lot of responsibility in protecting it. The chemistry between these two is literally off the charts, I devoured the love scenes along with the rest of the book. These two are perfect for each other, they only have a few obstacles between them. A monarch, kidnapping, secrets and betrayal and a mysterious stone. This book is action packed with scorching hot romance and the story will draw you in immediately. I hate when there’s too much back story before the main characters meet. This book starts right away with interactions between them and is full steam ahead in every way. I highly, highly recommend this book and this whole series!

Kate is a princess who is trying to protect her grandmother and figure out a way to stop her father from causing issues on their island home. Wolf is a co-worker at her soon to be new job with Agile Security. When Wolf shows up to help get her and her grandmother off the island, things don't go as planned and they end up having to getting married. Apparently as a woman or maybe because she is a princess, Kate has to do as her father says until she is married and then her husband gets control. Wolf and Kate go along with the wedding and have great chemistry from the beginning. However, it is definitely not smooth sailing as they face kidnappings, break-ins, and secret plots.

This book is fast-paced. A lot happens with the plot and within Wolf and Kate's relationship in a very short amount of time. I liked both Wolf and Kate's characters. I felt their connection and relationship development even though it does happen quickly. There were some loose ends in the plot that I felt could have been tied up or expanded on better. Forbidden Knight is a standalone book, but is part of the Agile Security & Rescue series. I have read and enjoyed the other books in the series as well.

The chemistry between Kate and Wolf is intense and supernova hot! They may struggle with their feelings and face off against each other on a regular basis, but they also can’t resist each other or tame their raw desire. Kate brings out all of Wolf’s protective instincts even before he learns she is a princess and is keeping a whole lot of secrets. She also brings out all the demons he thought he had laid to rest after his first marriage dissolved. She riles him up like nobody else, but that alpha protective streak means he has to stick close in order to protect her. For Kate, her feelings for Wolf are overwhelming and more intense than anything she has had felt before. She is determined to protect her Nan, her people and the island, but she doesn’t want Wolf to get hurt trying to help her. Her Nan manoeuvred her and Wolf into marriage, but she knows he can’t wait to get out of it. It doesn’t matter that the marriage feels real to her and so do the feelings stirring in her heart, or does it?

This book is fast-paced, thrilling and captivating. The characters are fascinating and easily drew me into their story. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was another great story in the Agile Security and Rescue series. The characters were complex and well developed. The story was full of action, steam and humor. Highly recommend!

Kate Pembroke first met Wolf at a gas station in LA where he gave her his business card. She texts him after she gets an interview with Agile and asks him to a scientific lecture as a thank you. She ends up ghosting him when she has to return home to Isla Rosa to bring her grandmother to the States. She asks Agile for help getting her grandmother safely off the Island and Wolf is one of the operatives sent along.

Wolf Black is a former SAS soldier and has only worked at Agile for about a month. He was previously married but his wife cheated on him so he has no intention of marrying again. The plane is stopped from leaving and the only way to get Kate off the Island is to marry her. After they are allowed to leave, a tropical storm forces the plane to return to the island. Kate gets kidnapped by her father's men and has to be rescued by Wolf. They eventually get her grandmother safely to the States but the team has to return to the island to get some answers to a mysteriously rock Kate is protecting.

When Wolf Black gave a business card, from Agile Security, to a young woman interested in a security position, he had no idea how his life would be turned upside down. Kate was looking forward to seeing Wolf one more time, but she had to leave for Isla Rosa to help her grandmother. Once there, and having no other way to leave the island, she contacted Wolf. Would he help her when they had just met once? He was attracted to Kate, but he was not interested in forever. He had done that once and forever didn’t last. He and his team flew to Isla Rosa and when security was not going to allow them to leave, her grandmother had a plan. A last-minute wedding, an unexpected storm, and Kate had still not explained, to him, who she really was. This book was a thrill from the beginning to the end. An alpha male determined to protect Kate, even though she exasperates him. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (paytonpuppy)

Another wonderful story that I devoured. This story about Kate and Wolf in the Agile Security & Rescue series is full of that instant sizzling attraction with lots of drama and action that I totally enjoyed reading as I read their adventure and romance. Kate and Wolf meet at the gas pumps which Wolf gives her a card for Kate to apply for a job. As a thank you, Kate invites Wolf to a lecture which he agrees since he can't get the delectable lady off his mind, but she doesn't show up. Days later the Agile team is rescuing Kaye and her Nan off the island because of her father political business but to get permission to take off the runway Kate marries Wolf. Wolf who has been burned before in a marriage is leery but his attraction to Kate pushes through. Can this attraction bloom? Why is Kate so at odds with her father? This is a great love story. Jenna Gunn has a way of making the story so suspenseful that you cannot put the book down, you have to find out what happens next.
Wolf and Kate met at a gas pump. He gave her a business card for Agile Security. Five days later he still could not get her off his mind. Then he get an assignment to fly to an island to help her get her grandmother off an island. Wolf's sixth sense warns him that trouble lies ahead. When they are ready to fly off the island they are stopped by Security Guards because a women has been kidnapped. Kate's grandmother (Nan) comes up with a solution that affects the rest of the story. You need to read this book, you will not be disappointed. I really liked this story partly due to the suspense. This series is outstanding reading. I can't wait for the next book.

Jenna Gunn's latest title in the Agile Security series is oh so hot! In "Forbidden Knight," we get to witness the intriguing journey to happily-ever-after for Wolf and Kate. After catching our first glimpse of Wolf in an earlier release in the series, I was thrilled to discover that this swoony, sexy Brit would be getting his own story, and I love how Gunn added some brokenness and vulnerability to the cocky, ultra-sexy military vet. Kate is in way over her head in so many ways, but the beautiful young woman has spark and determination that guides Wolf right to her like a heat-seeking missile. As always, lots of action, some super-steamy lip-biting sexy bits, and a bit of suspense and danger make this another amazing Jenna Gunn read. Seriously, so many opportunities for this series, and I, for one, will be along for the ride on each and every one!

This is the fourth book in the Agile Security series and can be read as a standalone but is connected to the other books so you'll see previous characters. Wolf and Kate's story was a steamy, wild ride. Kate has a knack for finding herself in trouble and Wolf ends up saving her more than once. The princess and the bodyguard make an unlikely couple and thanks to Kate's Nan they are now married. Wolf needs to keep Kate safe, get to the bottom of what going on on Isla Rose, and decide if his marriage to Kate is something he wants. He's firmly believed he was going to stay single after his divorce. Awesome addition to the series. I'm looking forward to reading Mikail and Mako's stories. Jenna Gunn writes stories that pull you in and have you turning the pages to the end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
