Una historia de amor eterno que no me emocionó exactamente.

Argumento:
Qué sacrificarías por una oportunidad más con la persona que amas?
El pasado y el presente chocan cuando un ladrón de antigüedades viaja a Alaska para robar una joya maldita que se dice que está custodiada por un vampiro. Un acalorado encuentro con una leyenda deja a Sophia Daniels sin aliento, llevándola a un rumbo que nunca esperó mientras los recuerdos de otra vida se burlan de su mente.
El Caballero Negro se levanta para reclamar a la mujer que le robó la muerte. Un encuentro casual, sangre y dolor convergen para revelar la verdad, solo para encontrar su vida una vez más en las garras del peligro. El vampiro Cassius Maxim está desesperado por salvarla de la muerte y encontrar una manera de ganarse una segunda oportunidad con la mujer que ha amado durante siglos. Mi humilde opinión:
La trama prometía para mantenerme leyendo, un vampiro de la época medieval, una ladrona estilo Robin Hood, flashes del pasado, momentos vaporosos, luchas sangrientas, reencarnación y una segunda oportunidad en el amor pero... me terminó desilusionando.
Estuvo bien escrito y tenía los elementos de vampiros que me gustan pero en este tipo de romance necesito más corazón. Estábamos hablando de una pareja que se amó con locura en otra época y lucharon para estar juntos, no fue fácil y cuando parece que han alcanzado la felicidad juntos la muerte los separa trágicamente. Entonces tienen una segunda oportunidad y vuelven a encontrarse en una época actual pero yo no sentí la emoción de ese reencuentro ni me transmitió el sentimiento de ese amor eterno. En una parte mencionan que ya se habían conocido antes en un baile de máscaras. Por fin Cassius encontró a su esposa reencarnada en Sophia y yo me quedé sin leer el encuentro más esperando? Volví atrás para ver si me pasé alguna página pero no, esa escena no estaba. Así que no, lo siento pero el sentimiento no estaba allí, ni la conexión. Todo sucedió muy rápido y solo hubo lujuria entre ellos.
Aparte del romance esperaba más acción por el tipo de trabajo que tenía Sophia y lo que era Cassius. Hubo un momento de peligro al final pero la verdad no pudo importarme menos lo que le sucediera a Sophia. Es feo pero es como me sentí en cuanto a los personajes.
En general la historia no estuvo mal pero tampoco me gustó. No sé, no lo sentí con este libro.

Black Lotus is a scintillating vampire romance from one of my favorite authors. In Black Lotus, two tropes emerge, vying for supremacy: vampire romance and reincarnation romance. My paranormal romance heart is all aflutter with expectation and this book didn’t disappoint. From the beginning, I connected with Sophia. She’s such a strong, independent, sassy heroine. Her reactions to vampires being real rings true and much of what she says is probably what I would say if asked the same questions. The link between Sophia and Cassius is visceral, raw passion. The emotion described in both POVs will take your breath away. The restraint Cassius has is impressive. The plot itself moves at a terrific pace with luscious romantic scenes to melt your heart and heat your skin. This is book one in a brand new multi-author series. I can’t wait to read them all. If you’re a paranormal romance reader with a love affair with vampires, you’ll want to read Black Lotus. If steamy vampire romances are your reading jam, pick up Black Lotus. Highly recommend!

Love never dies!
I love how Kristal always sucks you in from the very beginning and never lets you go! It starts with a bang, heartbreak, but hopeful and the need for vengeance! Love every second of it! Wonderful message about love, life, second chances, and making the best of it! I think about this couple alot and i look forward to reading the rest of the reincarnation series!!!

I liked this book a lot. It was so fast paced && cute. The romance didn't feel forced && their story was good. The story line was so short && I did want more but overall a good one.

I absolutely loved this book, read it in a couple of hours! I could not put it down once I started, literally!! It's a short book, quick read and I wish there was more of it!
I completely loved the story line. Castle in ruins, Vampires, and heated romance. I don't know if it gets any better!
Completely loved the romance, heat, passion, and loyalty between Cassius and Sophia, who doesn't want a man so devoted to them, for centuries!
I do hope at some point, there will be another in the series of Black Lotus, I am definitely a fan!.

Swoon worthy vampire, feisty heroine
Doesn't every girl hope to be swept away by a gentleman? Cassius has old a world manners thanks to his previous life as a knight mixed with a naughty streak, which makes him a definite book boyfriend. I love how this book follows the classic vampire lore, themes, and rules. However, Sophia isn't your typical heroine. She crafty, smart, and carrying a history filled with danger. She's a perfect foil for Cassius. I can't give this book enough stars because six isn't an option.

Author Harris never fails to deliver an interesting concept for the vampire. The moving between past memories and the present was well done, and the hero's commitment to his fated mate through the centuries was endearing. The author warned us this book was "steamy" and she's not kidding around. That piano scene was something else. lol This is the first book in the series and sets the tone, so I can't wait to dive into the rest.

Wow!
This book took me by surprise. I love the merging of past and present .And that it depicted love that spans lifetimes but doesn't leave out the loneliness. 3.5 on spice but sold 5 on plot .looking forward to the rest of the series.

I absolutely ADORED this book. This was an excellent start to the Reincarnation series.
The opening prologue set a beautiful, tragic scene. I adore Kristal Dawn Harris's story telling. Yes, this book was shorter, but I never felt any rush. I never once felt frustrated with the FMC. I admired the MMC for his undying devotion. Waiting hundreds of years? It's this or nothing, ladies.

This wasn’t really it for me. I like the idea of this story but parts of it didn’t make sense to the point that it felt like bits of the story were missing, I thought Sophia excepted things that she learned too easily, and the sexy scenes just did not do it for me.
