A gut-deep feeling tells Deputy Peters that the handsome stranger in town isn't the killer she's looking for. But there's something about him that isn't quite right—and she's definitely going to find out what he's hiding.
Deputy Megan Peters' efforts to find a solid lead to capture the serial killer terrorizing Lost Falls have failed thus far, and now she has become his target. Scott Anders, the only newcomer in town, draws her suspicion. Is his gentleness just an act? As they grow closer, she finds herself questioning her instincts. What will she believe—her heart or the evidence mounting against him?
Roxanne is a USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author of forty romantic suspense, mystery, and heart-warming, emotionally charged relationship novels in the clean & wholesome, as well as inspirational romance genres.
She got her first horse at the tender age of six and grew up riding bareback with wild abandon throughout her small Minnesota town year-round. It was like giving a child car keys!
She showed horses for many years, and later, she and her husband raised quarter horses and thoroughbreds until their kids came along.
She's living her childhood dream, living on an acreage in the country with her husband, three horses (all beloved elderly pasture ornaments, now), a golden retriever, a Mountain Cur rescue, and six fluffy barn cats. It's a much smaller menagerie than when their three kids were still at home!
Ranches, animals, and small-town life frequently find their way into her books.
Final Pursuit by Roxanne Rustand Montana Secret Series Book Three Deputy Megan Peters. When she was a teen, her cousin was murdered. It affected Megan, Kris, and Erin in different ways. For Megan, it was fighting for justice. Fighting against those like the man who killed Laura. Now there’s a man out there assaulting and murdering women. Megan has to find him before he kills anyone else. And this killer seems to have her on his victim list. Scott Anders moved away from Chicago to a cabin in Copper Cliff, Montana. Finally, he could be alone…or so he thought. The beautiful deputy had him in her sights, and it wasn’t for anything good. She was looking for a killer, and he was new to the area. Page-turning suspense with romance on the side. And, of course, some adorable animals add humor to the story. https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
This is the third book I've read by Roxanne Rustand. As with the first two, this one was hard to put down. Well-written, believable, and a good mix of the tenseness of avoiding romance along with suspense. Nothing predictable. The renewal of faith for the main characters was refreshing as they navigate their complicated and painful pasts and contemplate if a brighter future is possible or not through dangerous and life threatening situations. I'll be reading more of Roxanne Rustand's works!
Another great mystery fiction set in Montana's rural town area. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story by Roxanne Runstand. It kept me interested from the first word to the last. Two law or former law officers each respectable in their position show compassion and a tremendous desire to right wrongs. However, one races against time (the next full moon) to stop the killer from killing another young brunette girl.
I enjoyed most of the story. The dogs & other animals made it very endearing. The mystery itself was good, too, except no hints gave this reader a chance to figure out the identity of the killer/stalker. I do enjoy this author though & she didn't let me down. The amount of romance was just right. Megan is one of 3 friends. I've read Kris's story, which was very good ,but not Erin's yet. Can't wait to read it next.
I like the way this series is built around friends/cousins who got together for summer vacations and survived a terrible trauma. One of the four girls was murdered. Now the survivors are grown and finding their way in life. Two have returned to the area but Megan never left. She became a deputy to try to protect people. I looked forward to her story and it didn't disappoint! There's suspense and romance crafted by a very good writer. I'm reading book four now!
Sheriff Deputy Megan chasing a murderer or is he chasing her?
Deputy Megan is trying to piece together the clues in hopes of helping to catch a serial killer. Meeting a retired Detective that just moved into town. Somehow the killer starts tracking her and she is praying for clues to identify the killer. It got so good towards the end. Could not put the book down! Really good!
I really enjoyed how this book continued the theme of the series . I feel that it would have felt more complete if the ending didn't seem so rushed. That's why I didn't give the book 5 stars. I did not guess who the villan was. Excellent series so far.
Great story warm exciting and a great mystery with a serial killer.
Megan is furious she hasn’t found a clue to the man killing the women in her county. The sheriff isn’t taking it well either. Then Scott shows up and she checks him out only can’t find anything. Someone she knows has to be guilty because they know the back roads. So she checks Scott again.
This was my first time reading this author and I have to say I was impressed. Final Pursuit checked all the boxes for what I enjoy in Christian fiction suspense. Plenty of action, some creepiness (but not over the top), an interesting plot, and a deep faith thread. Oh, and don't let me forget the tender romance! Cleverly written & I had no clue who the perpetrator was.
Decent story, good writing. The main characters are ones we see often in CRS these days. Nice guy, stubborn girl. Both with problems in their past. I'm a little tired of hard headed women who act stupid when it comes to danger. Get past that and you will enjoy the book.
First time reading a book from this author but I loved this book. Kept you wondering who did it. Read this book. You won’t be able to put it down till you finish reading it.
Talk about a Suspense this story has it all. I was guessing the whole time. I never was able to see the ending. Hold on to your set because you ate in for the ride of your life. Have fun😜😀
Tis series is incredible and Roxanne Rustand is amazing! I can't put her books down
Scott and Meagan, another loving couple and I couldn't be happier. Another awesome story. I don't know how soon you will getting this message as I still can't connect up anything still!
I love this book. It has great characters, great suspense, and a wonderful romance. I love all the animals also. The way God is sprinkled into the story adds to it. I like the length of it and the flow of the story. The ending is very nice.
the characters were well developed and the book gift into the series. Good plot, definitely not what I expected. no hot sex scenes because there was no need for it. thank goodness!
Great story. She decided to be a cop when her cousin was murdered as a child. He is on leave from the CPD homicide department. They solve the case she's been working on when he rescued her from a serial killer. Their life is bound together now.
