Brandi Simmons’ love life has been a series of disappointments. After a short-term time travel trip to the past, she finds herself more alone than ever. A confrontation with the magical matchmaker, Dr. Lachele Simpson only results in a way to vent her feelings and getting lost in the Teton Mountains.
Boone Weston has traveled into the wilderness to escape his painful past. Unfortunately, he cannot outrun his memories. A collision with a wayward moose causes a different kind of pain, but also a strange hallucination with a colorful character intent on changing his future path.
Brandi and Boone are both surprised by the circumstances in which they find themselves. The twists and turns through impossible conditions allow them to face decisions most only find in dreams. Will time run out before they answer the call of their hearts?
I never thought I'd be a writer, much less publish a book some day. I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I guess life just had other plans for me. When my husband and I decided to start a family, vet school pretty much went out the window. I used to work with a vet who had three children while going through vet school. To this day, she is my hero.
I live with my husband and two teenage sons in southern California. I have a Welsh pony and a miniature horse (down-sized from a barn of six horses). A crazy Labrador retriever who is a food vacuum, three cats, two parakeets, four bearded dragons (my compromise with my sons when they wanted a snake), and a small flock of chickens complete our menagerie of critters. I can’t imagine my life without my animals. My dream is to live in Montana some day.
Four years ago, I began writing a story that, for whatever reason, was stuck in my head for almost a year. I have been an avid romance reader for a long time, and the idea took hold to - why not? - write my own! What a simple idea, right? It has been a long and difficult journey from my first sentence to a completed, and hopefully polished, manuscript. Today, I have a completed series of 5 books and a novella in what I called The Yellowstone Romance Series, two books in my new Second Chances Time Travel Romance Series, and I am currently working on the final book in a trilogy set in the Grand Tetons.
I loved this book. Peggy again did a wonderful job creating believable characters. The only problem with this book it ened much too quickly! I am looking forward to the next one ! I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes time travel books.
Boone- 1880s mountain man running from his past Brandi- current time was sent bk in time on the organ trail for her brother's sake but wants her own hea I enjoyed reading this entertaining time travel story. Their story has a loving hea. AMA
Two people struggling to find happiness. The purple haired dr lachele steps in to help and they have an adventure in the wilderness of the Tetons. A brief look into the past. And a good read of emotions and dreams.
Love becomes more magical when found in the mountains!
Once again, Peggy tells another great adventurous love story set in the magical area of the magnificent Great Tetons. Brandi & Boone are perfect for each other but will they realize it before the storm.
I give mountain magic of five star rating because it's fabulous! There was a different kind of surprise in this book and that was when they time traveled from up the mountain back down to the riverbed or the lake bed whichever you want to call it, I thought that was really awesome. I recommend all of Peggy Henderson books to all of my friends.
As much as I love Peggy's novels, this group is in my second tier. They aren't bad, I just prefer her longer work, when she can more fully develop her characters.
This is another wonderful book from Peggy L. Henderson and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Brandi and Boone were both wonderful characters and I enjoyed following them through the twists and turns of a good romance. One thing you can always count on with Peggy's books, the adventure begins as soon as you open the cover! I suggest reading Book 2 first in this 3 Book Series. Recommend. JudyE
