He bullied me into an arranged marriage. Humiliated and tormented me until the shame got the best of me. I escaped him, but now he’s here, living in my town, and working in my office. And now that we meet again…it’s about time I got some revenge.
I know the game he plays, and it’s not easy for me to win it. Of all of his tactics, I hate the flirting the most. The way he leans in close, stroking my hair back from my cheek. Giving me long, lingering glances, that ever-present smirk on his handsome face.
I summon all my hatred for him, trying to not let him get under my skin. And yet, I can’t keep myself from wanting to look beneath his harshness. To see if somewhere, I can find another side to him. The sweet side that comes out only in the darkness.
The side that might love me just as I secretly love him.
Sunny Rock is a place of darkness and light, of wolf shifters and magic, of soulmates and inescapable fate. Come here, and the starry desert sky will show you what love can do… if only you let it.

Exciting, and has intrigue, suspense, mystery and romance. SEALS have come together on a ranch to help with PTSD and other issues. Harlan is one such man, very brave, dedicated and awesome. Grace lives on a ranch that she and her deceased husbands ranch. Grace and Harlan knew one another as teens and it ended badly. Now they’re in one another’s lives. Wonderful & exciting characters that draw you deep into the story. I received a complimentary copy of the book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms Jade & Ms Crouch.
I stopped reading this at 29%. Just couldn’t get past the fact that it’s only been 3 months since she was no longer being psychologically tortured and now she’s all practically swooning over her torturer. Honestly there should be a bigger time gap. And the “H” needed to do some life choice review/show remorse/etc. in order to be worth swooning over.
As it was, when I stopped reading, he doesn’t regret anything he did and seems like he just expects to go on as he was before.
The writing is not horrible, but didn’t like the characters or how the storyline was going. This the lack of interest in finishing the book.
As usual, I had a hard time putting down Kayla's newest book so I could sleep. This story is about Roxanne and Fletcher, who you may remember from the first book in the series. Roxanne came to Sunny Rock with Issac on a hunt for Roy, the sadistic alpha who had made all of their lives miserable. Well, it turns out that Fletcher wasn't much better. He was the one who was in charge of the death squad that killed Cass's parents, amongst others, and the one who had scarred Lewis. He had also taken every opportunity to harass Roxanne when she was Roy's personal "guest." Unfortunately for Roxanne, the derelict building she is currently making plans to upgrade the plumbing and electric in, is where he and his rag-tag "pack" are currently squatting. Ugh. She can't catch a break.
Fletcher chose to stay in Sunny Rock when Roy was killed, though he had a hard time finding a pack that would accept him. He can't believe his eyes when Roxanne walks into the lobby of the deathtrap of a building he found for his new pack to live in. He had done his best to make it safer for them to use the little bit of electric power available to them. The plumbing was a mess and he had jerry-rigged some catch basins and such to keep it away from the sparky stuff. There was something about Roxanne's reappearance in his life that made him want to do better, but how?
Roxanne can't believe it when Leon tells her that he has given Fletcher a job. A job working with her. Though she has found out a few things about Fletcher that have made her feel a little better about him, she wasn't sure she wanted him working with her. But maybe she was only trying to fool herself. She was starting to suspect who he really was to her and she was afraid her pack was really going to hate it when they found out.
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Don't let the title fool you As this story has way more to it than just the title. She may have been bullied by this wolf but it seems that it was not because of him? Strange but when you read the story and find out about the past you get to come to terms with what she went through and why she is finding this so hard to deal with now. And also why her new pack is finding it hard but she is not going to back down from something when she sets her teeth into it. A rather curiously interesting read. I really enjoyed it, not finding out the part about what she went through to get where she is now, nor the rest of her pack, but her strength to get there was awesome. I receive a copy of this to read in exchange for this, my honest opinion.
It is very had for an author to make a protagonist likeable. This author did an admirable job of it. While Fletcher's situation was most definitely different from Isaac's, they both had to do awful things in order to survive their time with Roy. Fletchers was the longest and most intimate. While his age is never determined, I felt he was much younger than Isaac and therefore more pliable. This book is more Fletcher's than Roxanne's. You learn more about the characters, but not the world around them, and it does need more. While I read this via Kindle Unlimited, I do think it worth your time and $$.
Fletcher and Roxanne each suffered under Roy's tyrannical reign. They had a lot of baggage to get through, especially since he tortured her under Roy's command. Roxanne's pack helps bolster her strength; Fletcher has no one to whom he can turn. That is, until Roxanne gives him a reason to do better for himself. This is a great story of redemption, with Fletcher realizing he isn't he monster Roy would have him be. I love the honesty Roxanne and her pack share once she reveals her connection to Fletcher. Better friends she couldn't possibly have. Several interesting factoids were revealed, adding to my inability to put down my kindle. Such a good story.
This new book in this series is allowing us to know better all the characters in this marvellous saga, like the others stories, we discovered in depth and Fletcher, it has everything to keep you glued to your book. this story filled with a great numbers of misunderstandings, betrayal, suspense and steamy moments, I feel in love with and Fletcher’s story. Just love the way he is in turmoil with his emotions. Thanks to the author for providing my review copy.
This story is mostly about a guy who's brother manipulated him into doing things that hurt those he cared for. Then his soulmate, who is one of those he hurt because his brother demanded it, she is willing to forgive him... Its a pretty good story. I only went to four stars because I thought the story could have sorted him and the pack's relationship a little too.
Bully Wolf is book two in the series Wolves of Sunny Rock by author Kayla Wolf. So even though this is a short read - a little fast paced- there’s some happening here that it seems like a novel. So much trauma- heartache- questions. It’s a bit dark and brutal. There’s healing and redemption. Oh and some very spicy stuff. Enjoy!!
"King" Roy is dead and buried, but his savage influence is still causing issues for those he tortured... and even those who carried out his horrendous orders. Love the back stories of those involved!
This is Roxanne and Fletcher’s story. There are a lot of twists to their story that drew me in and had me turning the pages. So many hurdles to overcome but I loved the ending. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
