I’m rejecting him—even if my heart doesn’t agree. Atlas Arcturus is trouble. I knew it from the start. I knew it from the second he kissed me after I agreed to be his pretend girlfriend.
But I seriously underestimated how one alpha heir could take my heart and destroy it.
Now I have to pick up the pieces and survive what the academy throws at me.
There is a traitor in the academy, someone who is feeding information to the wearbears. I’m tasked with working with Atlas to find out who it is.
The more time I spend around him, I realise he should have always stayed my enemy.
My tutor. Off-limits to me.
Because once I gave Atlas Arcturus my heart, my body, and my soul, I should have known he wouldn’t ever give it back.
This is a full-length trilogy full of sexy alpha males, steamy scenes, a strong heroine and a lot of sarcasm. Intended for 17+ readers.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
If you'd have asked me what I wanted to see in this book I would have said groveling and a lot of it from Altas. What really ticked me off? After 4 months of Nyx telling him off (this was mentioned in the story but was not shown on page), he gets her alone and asks to talk. So of course they sleep together and she just forgives him.
How you could knowingly get with a guy who you now know for a fact has a fated mate I will never understand. I would have preferred there to have been some revelation that the fated mate bond was forced into existence with magic by the other person before Nyx completely forgave Altas. Altas' fated mate has every right to be very angry and upset with Nyx at this point. Considering how already unhinged and conniving she's proven to be in the first book I can't even imagine how she's going to react knowing that Nyx knows everything and is still after what should be her mate.
Side Tangent: I saw someone's review saying that they were on the werebear's side with how stupid the packs are being with their traditions and not wanting to evolve. I'm almost finding myself in the same boat if I'm being completely honest. 😅
On a positive note, the new covers are much better! The original covers weren't bad by any means but they did a very poor job representing a heroine who was described as being "curvy" (in my mind that translates to mid to plus size). After I made that statement I heard from authors and cover designers that it's very hard to find stock images of mid to plus-sized models for covers. It explains a lot. I wish it weren't the case because everyone deserves to see themselves represented. I'm glad the authors took a different approach with the new cover art. However much I wish I liked this series more this will be the end of it for me.
For a quick read Bailey does a great job with the storyline.
Nyx is a bit naive and far too forgiving. This is the aspect I did not enjoy. She makes up for in with her determination to stop the attacks on the Wolf Witches.
Atlas started out quite the a-hole but has made up some serious ground with me. He is fully committed to Nyx and their relationship. I still struggle with the fact he has a fated mate he does not want. Not sure how this will pan out in the end.
I saw that betrayal and cliff hanger coming since the first book. I normally enjoy G. Bailey's books, but this series left me frustrated with a FMC who is an absolute idiot in terms of relationships and common sense. The book also needs a proof reader to iron out several character and structural issues that detract from the story.
The continuity issues continue! Among other things, Nyx’s hair shifts from brown to blonde to black, then it is just ‘dark’. The grammar issues were… less frequent but still present. I really want to like this series but it just doesn’t feel professionally written/published. A plus is that at least there was character development from multiple persons! Yay.
Filler and cliffhanger again. Feels like this is becoming the norm for authors lately. Split stories into small books to make a series. Whatever happened to just writting one whole, robust book with all the goods in it?
Ill be honest i kinda struggled a bit with Nyx and Atlas relationship. Atlas has a fated mate (which isnt Nyx) but he doesnt want to be with her wants Nyx? Ill table that to see how that works out in future books. Back to this book i genuinely like Nyx from the first book and with the plot twists of a traitor amongst them made it more gripping for me. My jaw dropped when i found who the actually traitor was as well as having a wth moment. A good read. Bring on book 3 now
Iv had to DNF at 51% Iv just got no desire to pick this up, it may have something to do with being a little spoiled on the plot of this one as I accidentally read the synopsis to book 3 so I feel like I can basically see the whole story coming and it’s just not grinning me. I have too much else I want to read at the moment so I’m putting it aside for now
Why did this book even exist? Why the knowledge that Atlas has a fated mate if it literally serves no freaking purpose. Why the Tobias love triangle? Literally nothing happened in this book Why is the smut sooooo bad and why does it occur in moments that are completely wrong? Head injury and broken ankle while running for your lives in a forest is not a realistic love making moment!! I’m so confused Finished cause I’m not a quitter but would’ve DNFed at like 30%
The Moon Alpha series (trilogy - 3 books total) Book 1 - Luna Wolf, 200 pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5, 🌶️🌶️ Book 2 - Nox Wolf, 151 pages ⭐️⭐️, 🌶️.5 Book 3 - Lux Wolf, 154 pages ⭐️⭐️, 🌶️.5
Books 1 and 2 end on cliffhangers.
The series is a mix bag. Overall, it was a decent read. It’s hard to find good werewolf stories that don’t involve reverse harem (one woman, multiple male partners). The story centers around Nyx and eventually, Atlas. I enjoyed these two and the other casts of characters. The writing had so much potential but there was a lot of continuity issues, and a few grammar issues. Example: Book 1, Nyx has blonde hair, book 2 she has blonde hair in the beginning and black hair a few chapters later with no explanation why. The story is lacking in a few critical World building explanations. Some of the sex scenes took place in really inappropriate times. Running from the near by enemy? Not a good time to strip naked and have sex in the woods.
I could accept some of these flaws because it kept the books from being too long. Part of the appeal of this trilogy is that it’s a quick read. Ideally, the series should’ve had more details added (100-150 pages more total), and a good editor.
Nyx is still reeling from the betrayal of Atlas and after months of fighting the pull she has with him. She concentrates on training her new light powers when she is sent on another mission only to find out there is a traitor within the academy and they want her!
At 150ish pages this was basically a novella but it was kindle unlimited sooo not too upset. Book one was a little longer and book three seems to be around this same length. Probably could consider this trilogy of novellas all one novel. Standard paranormal romance academy tropes/fun easy reading.
Wow this was a great book. Ends on a cliff hanger so you will need to read book 3 to find out what happens. Can't help but think it is going to be worth it.
I downloaded this immediately after finishing book 1 as I was so intrigued by Nyx and Atlas' relationship. I was slightly disappointed that book 2 began several months later and so didn't describe the angst that they both went through when Nyx found out about Atlas and Addison being fated mates. Nor has there yet been a full explanation for how this came to be. This was a short book and I think it could have been fleshed out with more detail. Like the first one there were some annoying editing issues in the beginning. However I still really enjoyed this book, and it is the romance between Nyx and Atlas that keeps me hooked. I really like both characters and Atlas is so sweet, despite his reputation as being moody. Some of the plot was obvious, but didn't make it any less enjoyable to read. Again despite my niggles I have given it four stars because I still want to keep reading and hopefully see Nyx and Atlas get their HEA.
▪ "You're my tutor and nothing else to me." A low growl rumbles in his chest. "We are never nothing, Nyx. Not you and me." ▪
This was a quick, easy shifter romance. I loved the first book and that revelation at the ending had me eagerly waiting for the second book.
I enjoyed this book as it was a quick read, but I missed something. I missed the groveling from Atlas after he did her dirty like that. Come on, you can not just skip over that and just saying she ignored him for a while and then kaboem, they are all over eachother again?! We wanna see hurt, tears, groveling, apologies! Where was it?😭
He just got too sappy, I like my guys brooding, can't help it won't change.🫣
I will read the last book which come out in May as I need to know what comes after the cliffhanger. Hopefully also they will go more into depth with her heritage. •
I don’t think I’ve ever stopped reading a book so fast.
The book starts with a 4 month time skip and the opening scene is Atlas and Nyx on the fighting maps. TLDR: he asks to talk after months of her ignoring him, this of course means they end up having sex and she immediately decides to get back together with him, even though she knows he has a fated mate. What the fuck. Her lack of care for Addisons (bc let’s be real even if Addison a bitch getting between dates mates is just wrong) relationship with atlas, her willingness to just jump straight into bed with him after 4 months of ignoring him and then 1 5-minute conversation, and her ensuing decision to forgive and forget and get back together with him is just….not it.
In addition, atlas is a freaking a**hole. Even if there’s some sort of plot twist where Addison isn’t his fated mate, who pursues someone while they also claim to have a fated mate? It’s just f***ed up and not it at ALL.
This series could’ve been so much more. Disappointing.

I don't know how I feel about this book 🤷🏽♀️ some things just felt rushed and others just didn't make sense.... Firstly it's been months apparently since Atlas lied to Nyx but we see none of that no we see her resist for 5 mins then jump back into bed with him. Then I don't understand the whole Tobias betrayal part like he does it to ensure the werebears don't attack his pack? The pack that rejected him and cast him out... lastly Atlas and Nyx at the end are seriously injured she has a possible concusion and he'd lost a lot of blood but let's ask each other to be mates and get down and dirty despite practically dying 5 minutes ago 🤣🤣🤣 makes sense am I right hahaha I'm sure everything will be answered in the next book I just don't know if I can be bothered to read it....
This series is okay, but I am frustrated and not sure if I want to continue, but I probably will because I usually enjoy G.Bailey books. There's no explanation on why the werebears are so evil. They just are, and there's no depth or background about them after 2 books. The werewolves are annoying, no real depth or relationships that make them seem worth protecting either. And I wish the werewolves would have a mating ceremony where all the packs meet since they seem pretty small individually and must have a lot of inbreeding. The academy seems so tiny even though there's supposed to be 1000 people there it always seems empty in the writing. The series has potential, but I wish it had more depth.
Book two is a forced pity party, continued “snark” (it’s not snark), and behavior that’s extremely immature and juvenile. And the dialogue. Don’t get me started on that hot mess.
(also, p.s.: they both hate tradition but instead of, I don’t know, breaking from tradition, they use the idea of “fated mates” —which, hint, is an old tradition— to keep them a part. (ALSO, she never **asked** him if he thought Addison was his fated mate. I LOATHE miscommunication as a reason for drama. Hate it.)
Why is every second book I read in the last weeks horrible? 1. She forgives and forgets his lies, just because he kisses her? 2. Why is she afraid, the school would retaliate because of her relationship? He made it public the first day 3. Suddenly she thinks she has feelings for Tobias???? 5. They send a bunch of cadets who are training for less than a year into a mission to the enemy's headquarters without a clear plan???? 6. The smut scenes are confusing and unsatisfying. So don't even bother to read it just for that

Now I’m not saying don’t read it; but I’m not going to recommend it either.
I love the idea and the premise but the “I’m rejecting him” attitude lasts all of like 5 seconds. Then there is stolen kisses and “I can’t stay away”…. I didn’t get the push pull at all, it was lack lustre at best. Their relationship just didn’t make sense right from book 1.
Then the battle comes to a head; this side and that side! Battling yet out numbered!! I know, let’s plummet to our death and hope we can escape! Then crash through the woods all night, near death, concussion and bleeding out… DÉCLARATION OF LOVE… consumâtes the bond… oh y’a, a war is raging let’s go home…
The last spicy scene was just so out of the blue for me; so confused as to why they chose to do it while running from danger.
I really liked the idea; the demons and angels; dark and light magic. I had high hopes for this series, i really wanted to like it and my hopes were the reason I read book 2, but I just can’t find the motivation to finish the trilogy.
I still don’t understand why the bears are the enemy to all shifters… just so random and unexplained. But I really did want to enjoy this trilogy, the idea seemed so great! And I wanted to love the characters but “strong female lead” is not how I would describe love struck Nyx…

This paranormal fiction is riddled with magic, action, adventure, and romance. I loved this book and the characters. Nyx and Atlas draw you into the story with their powers and steamy scenes, but this story is twisted and suspenseful. Of course, I liked the love triangle and more questions being answered. I can't believe who the surprise is and what happened; omg, there aren't words for how fantastic this read is.
This book starts a few months into the future after the last book ended on that emotional cliffhanger. Atlas and Nyx are back to being enemies but still must work together.
This book has a little love triangle between Atlas, Nyx, and Tobias, but this is between the action and supernatural parts of the story. The mission is intense with many characters, including those we haven't really met.
Things heat up as the war gets more inter tangled with the academy and the wolf witches' lives. They have a surprise in their midst, and you'll be stunned to find out who. I won't reveal it; you have to read it for yourself. I love how heroic and amazing Nyx is getting with her powers and her answers. Her love affair with Atlas is so sweet, and the perfect dose of romance admits the action, adventure, and battles. This book gets crazy and leaves you on a horrible cliffhanger; at the end of the story, the next book is due in May of 2022. I personally can't wait to read it and finish the story with Atlas and Nyx.
The adventure was fun. The mission and going about things. Hard sell about their romantic relationship though. For sure physical, and maybe even admiring because of how far both have come, but it seemed too fast and I couldn’t believe it so I couldn’t get into it.
The bad guy was a little obvious but it felt satisfying seeing I was right. The surprise was surprising.
I don’t know. This wasn’t terrible. This one ticked off some good things on my list but I still didn’t get fully immersed. There were factors missing, and it wasn’t that things were actually missing, but rather the things that were present were… minimum.
Too fast romance, clueless heroine who doesn’t know her friend likes her, vapid mean girl who actually has some stuff going for her but it’s not what gets shown so she’s literally reduced to jealous mean girl, and near juvenile fighting with the only mature things being their fighting and sexing. So yeah… I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it.
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I absolutely love this series!! I adore everything I've read by G. Bailey, but this series knocks it out of the park for me! Nyx is so strong, and she is trying so hard to learn this new world and be able to use her unusual magic. She has a great group of friends, and her and Atlas are off the charts! She has to watch her back at all times the more she learns about herself and she is a true fighter.
I seriously love Atlas. I know he did wrong in the first book, but he certainly made up for his mistakes in this novel.
I am dying for the 3rd book to be here already after that cliffhanger we were given. I know it will be fantastic, so I will patiently wait until May, but I can't get enough of this storyline and these characters! So glad I got the chance to read this and looking forward to more!!
I have been enjoying reading the books in the series. They are a fast paced read and that’s a nice reprieve from longer novels. I think this is a neat take on a shifter world so it makes the story unique. However I was confused from the first book to the end of this one. Nyx is portrayed as a beautiful curvy girl with long blonde hair with the last name Arcturus in the first book, in the second she has “long black locks”. Atlas last name in the first book is Iridani and in the end of this book it’s Arcturus….like what? I very much enjoy the details of the books I’m reading, so when they abruptly change…it throws of the story. I’m hoping the last name bit was simply just an accident on the authors part because It’s a change that makes no sense.
Overall good read. Just want the details to stick between stories so it feels cohesive.
So first off--the blurb. Her name last name is Arcturus, not Atlas'. Unless I missed the part where they got married and he took her name? I don't understand why he needed a fake girlfriend. His dad and pack disowned him. Why would his dad care if/who he dates? But now we are in book two, where the cliffhanger from book one is resolved right off the bat with no on page groveling or any real conversation. I'm halfway through and not sure if I'll finish. I caught a glimpse of the 3rd book blurb (again with the Atlas Arcturus) and its a total spoiler for book 2. It could have said traitor and danced around a little to not be so on the nose. I love shifter books, but this one is becoming a little disjointed for me. I'm having trouble with the werebears because I am not understanding their motivation for the war at all. They just live to kill? What is that about?
