Anna:
I need help. Someone is threatening me and my unborn child. I can't protect us on my own. I was told about a group of men who specialize in protection and I do the only thing I can. I ask them for help. Being surrounded by five massive men is quite intimidating, however, they all have hearts of gold. They do everything in their power to keep us safe. But, once my child is born, my safety doesn't matter anymore. Just hers and the men who have become my family.

Cap:
I'm the president of the Phantoms MC. While we are a legit club, it's mainly a cover. My team and I run a business called, Cap's Security, and we use the club to hide what we do. I'm tired and in need of a vacation when we receive a call about a pregnant female who is in trouble and needs protection. Deciding to put my downtime on hold, I take one more job. However, Anna is more than a job. she's quickly becoming my very reason for living. But, someone is after her and her baby and that's just not going to work.

My men and I protect strangers with our lives. But, we'll kill for our family.
President: Captain or Cap for short. He was the Captain of their team before and he's their President now.
Vice President: Axe! Axe is a countryman through and through. If he's not wearing a plaid shirt then he's most likely in a foul mood.
SGT at Arms: Beast is large and intimidating. But, it's all for show. Beast is the biggest teddy bear and is always smiling. But, when he's working, don't get in his way. He's not afraid to run you over.
Enforcer: He's seen only if he wants to be seen. He's called Shadow! But be careful, because it might not be your shadow that's following you.
Road Captain: He's the deadliest member of the Phantoms MC. He doesn't fear death. He IS death! You mess with his clients, or even worse, his family, then the Reaper will come for you. And, he won't stop until his face is the last one you see.

Hated it. Spelling mistakes, instant love and possession, crazy plot.

Oh dear. I don’t know where to start with this book. There’s so many things wrong with it.

Loads of spelling mistakes, a small amount I can ignore, but there were a huge amount. Words like ever, instead of never, weren’t too bad, but it got a lot worse than that!

Instant love. Carter walks into Anna’s house and falls in love with her, and she instantly becomes his. It’s ridiculous.

The worst thing about this book for me was the fat shaming of Anna. I think the author was trying to show that beauty comes in many sizes. But it just came across that the author thinks that if you’re overweight, you’ll still be a virgin in your late twenties, as no one will want you. 😡😡😡 Everyone in her life, apart from her brother and his wife, torment her about her size. OH COME ON!! I’ve yo yoed with my weight for years, and I’ve never had bullying like that!!! There has been some comments, but never co-workers and all of my boyfriends. Even Carter who thinks she is beautiful, describes the way that Anna’s arse wobbles even after she’s stopped moving. Anna constantly pulls herself down, and calls herself fat and ugly. The madman who wants her describes her as really fat but beautiful, and her chunky face!!! Moving on before I scream.

The sex scene at the end of the book. Why, if she was so beautiful to him, did it take to the end of the book for them to have sex? She’s still strictly speaking, a virgin, and she’s gone through a lot physically. So the first time they have sex, he says he can’t be gentle, and of course he’s massive, he thrusts hard into her, and it’s apparently really painful! But Anna of course, still loved it!!! And manages to have three orgasms. OUCH!!!

After reading Bear’s book, which I loved. I’m so shocked this is the same author.

*********PLOT SPOILERS*****************

The ludicrous plot. Anna’s sister in law is dying from cancer. They ask Anna to be a surrogate mother for them, as, they have fertilised eggs. Anna does it, after a struggle because the clinic don’t want Anna to do it as she’s so overweight. (Here we go again!) After the death of her sister in law, her brother goes off and has a lobotomy and weirdly starts drug dealing and is killed. So Anna is left in her own, pregnant and terrified. When she starts receiving threats to her baby, as her brother stole money of his employer, she calls in Carter and his Mc brothers for help. As the Mc that they run is a security company, and isn’t like any Mc book that you’ll ever read! No bunnies/ whores, no hangers on. Carter takes one look at Anna and instantly falls in love with her. She falls in love with him, even though they barely know each other. When Anna lets herself be taken by her brothers employer, the plot deteriorated even more.

Superfivial¿

I wanted to like this book, I really did. The trouble was that it had no depth. The relationship between the two main characters was superficial as well as the relationship between the members of the MC.
The first book in a new series should take the time to bed in the characters well to give a reader an interest and love/ hate relationship with them. This did not happen and every occurrence in the story was skimmed over without letting the reader connect with the character before moving on.
It also left a question behind, so I suspect instead of getting a brand new story in book 2 the author will treat us to more of the same. We'll have to wait and see.

Within 10 pages I realized this book was a hot mess. Sadly that assessment didn't change 134 pages later. Even in the Author's Note at the end of the book, the author uses the wrong name for the male hero. She calls him Mac, not Cap.
The storyline and dialogue are sophomoric, every possible storyline is used, from cancer to trafficking with little regard for anything to do with an MC. It's as if the author reached into a grab bag of storylines and decided to use the all with zero research, zero possibility of probability. There is, of course, instalove.
Errors include angle for angel, break for brake, ruby diamond - there is no such thing, lady's for ladies', girl's for girls', warn for worn - and the list goes on.
I cannot in good conscience find a single redeeming comment about this book.

I like the author but she’s so extreme with the pain her heroines suffer… it’s too much for me, but it’s just me,

WOW!! JUST WOW!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! Its an emotional rollercoaster ride from the very first chapter. Gut wrenching. I was crying so hard right from the very beginning. It will break your heart then slowly rebuild it. This story takes you on a journey to some dark places. Anna's character is a beautiful woman with a huge heart and such a caring soul. Cap/ Carter is the President of the Phantoms MC and when Anna meets him there's an instant attraction. Anna is a full figured woman but has low self esteem so when she meets Cap even though she's attracted to him she'd never act on it. Now Cap on the other hand loves a woman with something to hold onto. The Phantoms MC are a protection security team that are an honest and loyal bunch of guys and Anna just happens to need protection. There are moments that make you hold your breath. At times the suspense is so exciting I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. This book will hit your emotions like a freight train. Then there's little Bitzy. Like sunshine on a cloudy day. Oh and who knew Carter was such an alpha and definitely knows how to give a woman the ride of her life and even though he's a total bad*ss he also has a soft mushy center when it's needed and Anna and Bitzy are his center. The ending was definitely intriguing and I can't wait to read the next book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE.

What just happened

So this starts out really well(ish) for an insta love story, which I'm here for. And then it takes a whole left into WTF?!?! I finished it only because I wanted to know if there were any redeemable possibilities and it fell right into, this author is not my cuppa, won't read again. I loved the H's personality and that of his team(club) so much....but the h was either to stupid to live (literally), or the author couldn't decide what to do with her. But this story line was not it. Perhaps some further research is needed....I dunno. But this was horrible.

What a let down.

Story is one of the worst ones from this author. $30K to sell a house? A virgin becoming a surrogate, only able to do so after getting a attorney. A fake MC of ex government men, who forget technology the h has on. MC full of members too stupid to look down, when all tracking signals point to the same location.

Author forgets the male leads name in the asking for reviews at the end of the book.

***SPOILERS***

I have mixed feelings about this book. I did like most of it and the writing was good but it definitely had some stuff that was not believe able. I know I know its a book of fiction but still there are some things that just don't make sense. When she kept getting the notes none of then said how much her brother owed this person or how she was supposed to pay them, when she gave herself up she was gone for THREE MONTHS! and Cap just forgot that he had a tracker put in her ring, she was supposedly a drug mule and I'm supposed to believe they doped her up so bad she couldnt hold herself up and doesn't remember much but she passed air port tsa/security also looking beaten with her head shaved. Lastly she's described as a "curvy girl" but the Dr. Said she couldn't be a Sergeant because she was too unhealthy and overweight so exactly how big is she ? That isn't so much a big deal but all together it made me like the book less and less

I absolutely loved this newest book in what promises to be another great MC series from this author!! Anna is in trouble and reaches out to the only one she feels can help her. This is where she meets Cap who is the leader of a MC that doubles as an elite security company. At first glance, Cap knew that Anna was truly special and the one he has been waiting for. He just needs to convince Anna that what they share is truly real. When outside forces threaten to take everything that Anna and Cap are working towards, can Cap and the rest of the team take care of the threat before its too late?

Such a fantastic story, I was hooked from beginning to end and didn't want to see it end. I can't wait to read the rest of the MC/Security crew's stories, I am super excited for them. Highly recommend, well done!!!

I wasn't ready for Cap (Carter) and Anna.
The evolution of Carol Dawn's character's has been incredible! Her story telling draws you right in.

There is heartbreak, early on. Sacrifice. Love. Family. Laughter. More heartbreak. A baby. Love. Ultimate Sacrifices. And the happily every after that we all want.
Cap is incredible, I instantly fell in love with him. He is just incredible and bound and determine to love Anna.
Anna, my gosh. Her strength. She is bound and determine to do it on her own. Regardless of the repercussions she'll face.
They are the perfect pair.
I read this well into the night and couldn't bring myself to put it down. I'm excited for the next in the series, but this couple, Anna and her Carter are going to have a special place in my heart for a while!

Carter & Anna

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this story. Initially, it seemed it was going to be the kind of story I enjoy - possessive alpha & single mom with a twist. I did enjoy the characters & story flow - I adore the whole MC group!

And then it kinda took a turn I didn't like at all, and became much darker for much longer than I liked. I couldn't get back into the happy headspace I'd been enjoying, and so - even tho I loved the HEA portion of Anna & Cap, and am intrigued by the lead to the next story - I'm not sure if I'll continue with the series.

I think those who don't mind darker elements will find this story thoroughly enjoyable, tho, without sharing my misgivings!

This was a darker read from this author. While she hasn't shied away from tough subjects before, this one felt heavier, Anna being heavily pregnant with a target on her back. She calls Cap and his men for help and they step in. Cap starts to fall for the sweet woman immediately, determined to keep her safe from harm. When the guys can't nail down the source of Anna's torment, the stakes are amped up. Anna puts herself in danger to protect Cap, his men and the baby and disappears. While this does have a good ending, I didn't take it for granted either. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the series plays out.

Carol Dawn did a great job on Cap, it was a strong start to this series, the characters are strong, so wasn't the plot, it was filled with many emotions, the story was written well. Cap and Anna's journey had it's ups and downs but they made a strong pair, the bond was strong between them, their chemistry was sexy and sweet, they were truly made for each other, they were good together.
This was a strong pack of men that'd do anything for each other and the ones they care for. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.
This was a great story. Thank you, Carol Dawn. Great work :)

Cap/Carter and Anna

A truly great start to a new series. Anna is one strong and resilient lady and throw in a little naive and stubborn. Cap is an awesome leader for the security company/motorcycle club and definitely alpha. Anna reaches out to them for protection and Cap is immediately ensnared with Anna's charms and bravery. I totally adore Missy as well and found her to be quite funny, but a true badass in her own right. I am so looking forward to more of these stories and need them asap. Happy reading.

I loved this book! Ugh, I'm so frustrated that I have to wait for the next one in the series lol. The characters are intriguing, and the story took some interesting twists. Pregnant lady needs help and the hero is the president of an MC that helps people. There were a few parts that were hard to read (like what the bad guys do), but I read this in one sitting. I can't wait to read the next one in the series, even though it doesn't look like it's my favourite characters turn yet. Bring on Bear!! :)

Oh wow

What a story. I couldn't go to sleep until I made it to the end. I found a book titled Beast, but realized it was the 3rd book. So I went back to see what 1 and 2 were. I'm glad I did! This story had me on the edge of my seat. Yelling at Anna and frustrated with cap. But a great story will do that, get me to feel things. If your reading this review then you need to just quit it and get to reading this amazing story already! A first for me from this author but definitely not the last. I'm onto the next one in this series!!

Cap and Anna are a different twist on the and story

It you've read the Son's series then you pay much know what's going to happen. Except this MC is different. The storyline darkness is still there but the guys have a different feel. I Food noticed she called Beast boy Bricks name at once point but it didn't distract from the story as a whole. I hope Milly gets a book. I know that feel be a good one. Carol Dawn loves her female mains being damaged and tortured so be prepared. This is not this the faint of heart arc has a lot of triggers. So is be warned and be ready.

The perfect start to a new series. Cap is the head of an mc and a body guard group. Anna is in danger and pregnant and ends up asking Cap for help. He instantly feels something for her. Can they get through all of the issues and danger to find their happily ever after? I adore this author and knew a new mc series by them would be outstanding and it is. I adore this couple and all the other characters. I can’t wait to delve into them all. Absolutely amazing.

Cap (Phantom Mac Book 1)

Well done…

This story had it all… it was filled with love, action, suspense and many oh my god kind of intense moments

As you read the book you can feel that the two main characters are destined soulmates.

The bad guy ooooh I wanted to Kung fu him…

Some scenes in the book brought tears to my eyes, but all in all it was an amazing book and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the club

Miracle

When Cap meet Anna she needed protection. Pregnant with her brother's baby to honor her dead sister in law, then brother is killed Cap fell in love. But like every good love story Ms. Dawn gives us all the drama. Technically Anna should be dead. Plus in this book Slim and Hawk show up from Infernal Sons MC which was wonder. Phantoms MC is a little different than most MC but they are awesome. Can't wait for next one.

Carol Dawn does it again!

I’m a big fan of Carol Dawn and any MC romance (as long as there’s no cheating) so I was so excited to read Cap’s story. I fell in love with the men in this MC and the supporting characters. This is not your typical MC, but this club is loyal, protective, and a true family, which is all MC’s really boil down to.
This book made me laugh, cry, scream out in frustration for the h and H, and then smile the biggest grin when they get their HEA.

Good quick read

It is different from most of the MC books I have read, and I enjoy that. There were a few things I had an issue with.
Names are wrong. Beast gets renamed Brick for a few instances.
It takes him 3 months to remember he put a tracker in her ring? There are issues with timing. One minute, it's 3 months for Anna, and it's 4 for Carter even though it's only been a couple of hours for Anna.
Overall I enjoyed and will read the next just a few bugs

Cap by Carol Dawn is the first book in her new series Phantoms MC. Super enjoyable. Hot guy. A single curvy woman in danger. Insta love. Plenty of drama. Quick visit from old friends. Totally loved Cap and Anna. You can't ask for any more from this talented author. Bring on book 2. Kudos!

This is a great start to a series I can't wait to get invested with. It's not your typical MC book and I really enjoyed that. This book had all the angst and fast pace I love in a book. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happened next. All the characters were so well written, I felt like they were old friends of mine. I can't wait to read more in this series.

I was very much looking forward to this new series. And I was not disappointed. I have to say, I was rather surprised by the darker scenes. Some situations were very intense and followed with a lot of emotion on my part. An intense read and so very good. If the first book in this new series is this good, I can’t wait for the rest.

Spoiler - I read this book on a recommendation of someone on-line. I think the story starts out great for the first couple of chapters. Then all of a sudden the baby is born and they are sleeping in The same bed? No lead up to how that came about, I think the book is missing some important details. Not going to read anymore in the series.

whoa

The first half of the book was so drama free and sweet that I almost DNF(yes, I know that sounds ridiculous, but certain moods call for a certain amount of drama). Thank GOD I kept going. The second half pretty much kept me awake until I finished it. Will definitely read more by this author.

Great start

I enjoyed the story with a few exceptions. About 60% into the story the author confuses the biker Beast with another name not even in the story. Then relationships get confused. I re-read twice to make sure that I wasn't wrong. I little proof reading would go a long way.
