Life had been difficult, a father who did his best and a mother who did her absolute worse. It was him and his sister against the world. Brought up on vindictive lies, he’s reeling when he finally realises the truth. Especially as he put plans in motion that doesn’t seem to want to stop. How does he admit what he’s done to a man who looks at him as a son?
She was happy, sure life had thrown a few curveballs, but no one could have predicted the mess that had just landed in her lap. Unsure where to turn and considering whether those gorgeous eyes mean what they communicate, but he can’t say, she does what she does best. Jumps into the chaos and makes her own way.
Now he’s torn and handling three threats. One to his surrogate father, one to his woman, and one to his child. Given a chance to save one, who does he pick? Except someone forgot one thing. He was raised by a man who knew no boundaries and who’d walk into the fires of hell to save the ones he loved. Blood is thicker than water, and he’s his father’s son. A reckoning is coming, and it has one name on it. Jaime.
I was born in 1974 in Dagenham, Essex, England! I moved out of Essex in 2002 and moved to South Yorkshire and then settled in Derbyshire in 2005.
I've got four sons, one daughter and seven cats! I'm still working out who is more trouble, the children or cats! My children and I love cooking together, movie nights and music.
I've written stories ever since I was thirteen but I never had the courage to publish one before. But we all know the famous song... This is me, from the Greatest Showman. It gave me courage to Indie publish and be myself! Never under estimate the power of a good song!
My favourite holiday is Halloween and I'm known as the crazy lady in my street when Halloween hits! My love of Halloween even carries over to Christmas when, alongside my big "normal" tree I also have a Jack Skeleton tree!
My favourite movies vary, Star Wars, LOTR, Pirate Movie, Amazing Mr Blunden, Phantom of the Opera, Memphis Belle., finally Olympus/London has Fallen. Music depends on my mood, country, pop, classical, even bagpipes!
Rage MC is the first series I've Indie published and lots more Rage MC books will follow. I have several other series' I'm working on as well. So you will be getting a lot more Elizabeth N Harris Books! If you have any questions please check out my website and use the contact page to contact me in a variety of ways!
I loved this first book and this one, too. I can't wait to read the next one. Jamie is amazing, and I just love him and Maddy together. Elle is the cutest little one ever.
There was sure a lot of drama in this one. Jamie's ex, his bad decision coming back to haunt him, Mandy's parents. It was coming at them from all sides, it felt like whack a mole, they would just deal with one drama and another would pop up.
I was so glad that Jamie went to check on his daughter, what a situation that was. Ella was in a much better place with Jamie. I wished that Mandy could have made her move a bit sooner, then her parents would have had their last punch fest with her. Happier still that James was clued in with what was coming his way and took preventions.
While all this drama was going on, it was fun to see Jamie and Mandy deal with being in on the inner circle that was Rage, June, Washington and the select cops. At times both were over whelmed and stunned with who/why people were helping them out.
This isn't the first typo in your series' - not talking re the British speak - but the name screw up. When she leaves the hospital at 24% her name is not Kate.
"Because Kate, I claimed you, and Rage old ladies, claimed Kate. Which makes you theirs."
Jaime, speaking to Mandy
I've been reading a lot of KU lately and there's an awful lot of typos, especially incorrect names. Not just this author. That, just hit the "eye-roll" spot today and I noted it. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to write seriously and I'll give everyone the same advice I gave my eldest when they write essays.... read it out loud.
The story is short, ridiculous, eye-roll sex, and low angst for it's attempts at suspense. 3 stars for keeping me entertained and I skipped the sex scenes... still.
Jamie and Mandy...... Great couple.... overcomes a lot of obstacles.....So suited to each other. We had heat was out of this world. The dominant sciences were hot. Love reading the interactions of other characters from previous books. I so wish Frank was still around.
Jaime and Mandy make a wonderful couple. Mandy needs his strength to overcome a bad childhood, while Jaime's struggling with a very bad decision he made.
Mandy comes across Jaime and his daughter and takes them under her wing. She provides a safe, loving home for them as they struggle to come to terms with their new existence, all of them. James is determined to have his family close by, no matter what.
We see Mandy grow as she confronts bad parents and falls in love with a man who wants to give her the world. And Jaime gets to show his protective side as he claims a woman perfect for him.
It was good to get a different side of Jaime than we got in the first book. Mandy was loyal and very professional and we got to learn more about her. What a disgusting example of parents she had. Surprised she turned out as good as she did. It broke my heart when they found little Emma. I have no tolerance for harm done to children. Her mother...lol....don't even want to call her that should be 86'd and do everyone a favour (hopefully she is out of the picture). We also got an intro into Jason and Frankie....lol....those two are hilarious but Frankie has a lot of issue again due to shitty parenting. I salute all the good parents out there because there are far too many bad ones!
This book is about the ability to understand and accept that you can rely on family even if you are not related by blood. How if you don’t have all the facts you can easily make mistakes. As in when Jamie called a hit man to take out James. With the help of extended family and friends everything turns out and Jamie and Mandy’s story ends on a very happy note.
Jaime is coming to learn he really knew little about his father and his best friend, James. Mandy is working to get past her horror childhood and make something of herself. She has absolutely horrible and abusive parents. Some sexy dominant scenes, shoot outs and explosives.
I can't get enough of these stories, there's always something going on, from murder, mayhem and heat. I love James, but trouble seems to follow him, but in this case it was because of Jaime. His daughter Ella sure is cute with her facial expressions and how she acts. Mandy has a sick pair of parents. So hand onto your seats for a never ending ride. HEA.
Jamie maybe b Frank's son but he needs 2 get his shit straight b4 doing stupid things half cocked. When he sets his sights on a special woman he wants 2 prove himself 2 her and b there 4 her especially when things hit the fan with her unexpectedly. I like how he will take responsibility 4 his actions if he's wrong about something. it was really good.
Elizabeth is one of my favorite authors and is usually very consistent, which is y I'm surprised with this book. Grandpa F did not have met Ella because he wasn't alive. Mandy was told twice about dad, not sure y she was surprised the 2nd time around.otherwise great story line
Omg what a truly fantastic read. I love Jamie and Mandy ! What great couple. A bunch of our old friends from previous books make appearances in this one. It was fun to see everyone together and the chaos that occur. Loved this book
This book was a little confusing with the names James and Jaime it took a little while to get them straight in my head who was who but it was a real good story bring on Frankie's story she needs some love
A beautiful installment in the Washingtons series. I love that Frank's legacy lives on for James. The trials that Jaime and Mandy face are great but lead to a fantastic HEA. I recommend to anyone.
Insta love at it's finest. Continuation of great characters from many series. Love that the guys are protective and all male that even in taking care of kittens, it feels masculine. And now I'm excited about Frankie and Jason....
This book was an enjoyable read, Mandy seemed lovely in the first book so I was happy she was the FMC in this book and I think she was perfectly matched with Jaime. I found the story quite gripping and throughly enjoyed it. A fantastic read that I would recommend.
I have loved everything that this author has written! Every story is different and enjoyable from start to finish! Love how this family is coming together finally.
