My husband is a self-important asshole but he isn’t a murderer.

At least that’s what Sophia Claire believes when faced with a visit from detectives Adella Cruz and Trent Valletta. She has been enjoying what appears to be a storybook life with her fairytale husband, Robert Claire, in Deep River, Washington. Robert is the wealthy, intelligent and attractive CEO of massive pharmaceutical research company ANEXA. But the detectives tell her that they are investigating a string of murders of young women who all have at least one thing in common – they were all Rob’s lovers.

Faced with these accusations Sophia is forced to question the realities of her marriage, and the nature of their love for each other. When does love die, exactly? She still believes Rob loves her; he loves her body, her grace, and her ability to fit the lifestyle of a prominent CEO. But she also knows he has cheated. With a marriage on the brink of collapse how does one find their partner again?

As the detectives track clues that could lead to an arrest, Sophia begins to question her own commitments, the motivations of those around her and her sanity. Reaching her breaking point, she hunts for answers about her husband’s affairs and instead finds herself drawn to the sexual extremes of her husband’s secret life, all while uncovering dark surprises of her own.

A twisty, sexy, and surprising debut perfect for fans of Megan Miranda, Tarryn Fisher, and Shari LaPena, AMONG WOLVES will have you riveted until the last page is turned.

This book is a spectacular debut by Erica Blaque!! It has definite Shari Lapena vibes but will really appeal to Freida McFadden lovers!

The story follows Sophia as she discovers her husband's extramarital affairs are ending up murdered. She is a staunch believer in his innocence... until she finds evidence linking his pharmaceutical company to the crimes. Then the doubt seeps in. Will she unravel the mystery before another woman's life is claimed?

This was a fun ride! I either loved the characters or loved to hate them. None were really likeable, but I liked them anyway! They were very well-written and developed. Sophia is the perfect mixture of a fashionista/socialite and the do-good charity volunteer. Rob was just a terrible slimeball.

The story starts off with a blistering hot prologue and the action keeps steady pace until the very last page. I FLEW through this book!!

It would have been a five star read, but I felt like the end might have been tied together a little loosely and hastily, but the idea behind it was flawless, especially for a debut.

Erica Blaque is most definitely an author I will be following from now on!!

Thank you to @erica.blaque for my advance copy of your debut Among Wolves.

I was super intrigued by the premise and then I received it and fell in love with the cover! Okay folks-be ready to go on a super crazy ass ride! This is INTENSE! There is so much going on with it-its juicy, sexy, gasp worthy and jaw dropping. All the good things you want in a thriller, it has.

I loved our main character Sophia. She is the literal definition of Femme Fatale Bad Ass! I don’t want to give any spoilers because the twists are that good and I don’t want to ruin it. I will keep it brief. All I will say about this is pay back is a bitch, and then you die.

Way to go Erica!

Predictable, cliche, horrible and shallow writing. Wish I never wasted my time reading this. I actually cringed at parts.

I just finished reading Among Wolves and was blown away! My normal genre is Science Fiction/Fantasy (LOTR, Ender's Game, The Way of Kings, etc.) but this thriller had me captivated and wanting more the whole time!
The character development was just enough to keep you curious as to who they really are, and what their motives are.
So many surprises and twists in this book, I kept reading way past my bedtime. I guarantee you'll love it!

2.5 stars rounded down — I found this thriller too easy to predict, with characters that were thinner than I'd like. I'm not sure I ever fully understood the motive of the culprit. While I don't mind spice in my books (and heads up to those who do: this one is a definite open-door book), I found the inclusion of the sex club so random, seemingly solely for the purpose of earning its self-described classification of an "erotic thriller," rather than augmenting or clarifying the plot.

I don’t know why I finished this book. Started the ebook and there were problems with it. So I got a hard copy. Biggest pet peeves: constant name dropping of designer brands. Yes, we get it. The MC was wealthy. References to MC’s faith as she’s sleeping around. I should have skipped to the end to find out who was murdering people and saved myself the aggravation.

This mind blowing domestic thriller with having you racing through the pages to see how this ends. Reminiscent of my jaw dropping through Colleen Hoover’s Verity, there were twists I saw coming that still had me in shock and twists I didn’t see coming.

This was a slow-moving, awkwardly-written story. It was also steamier than I expected. I had a good idea who did it from the beginning, so I was motivated to finish it to see if I was right (I was).

Very fast read - thriller + dark romance + slightly predictable. Not my favorite genre (rich woman, troubled marriage, secrets, etc. can tell an interesting tale but it’s really hard for them to be original any more), but I was interested enough to finish it. A few items brought in were never really explained (why was she getting so thin? How did she not know about the club if she knew about everything else? + a few others I’ll leave out due to spoilers).

This one was a bit more spicy than the others so maybe points for that?

Let me tell y’all, this book is the best of smutt and thriller! I still can’t get over the plot twist also, I was not expecting it. If you haven’t read this one yet, move this to the top of your list!

i didn’t care for the writing style, the characters or ultimately, the entire story. the “twist” was obvious from the beginning. might be for people who liked “verity.”

I love the way the author portrays the characters. Sophia is so intriguing and unpredictable. This book kept me guessing the entire time and I could not wait to get back to reading it each time. It’s rare that I will ever stay up late to finish a book but this one had me so involved and I just had to know what was next. Definitely recommend!

I went about 80% of this book thinking I'd give it 3 stars. With that being said, the last 20% was exhilarating. The book isn't long enough for me to complain about pacing though. 175ish pages for payoff isn't so bad. I'd recommend this book if you like Gillian Flynn.

I liked the book. I liked the way it was written: the dark and moody first person narrative stream of consciousness.
However, I guessed the twist quite soon and hoped to be wrong, but alas, I was not.

4.5 stars!

I was at the library with my kids a few days ago not even planning on getting any this particular day for myself, and decided to just browse by the “new fiction” section before leaving. Normally I look for covers, or authors I recognize but something about Among Wolves drew me in. I wasn’t familiar with either the title or the author but I read the blurb inside the cover and immediately started reading before even leaving the library. It hooked me immediately! It was fast paced, engaging the entire time, and I couldn’t wait to see what happened in the end! So glad I ended up picking this book up, and can’t wait to read more from this author!
