A Holy One is born, rejected and marked for death! A priest’s son is told his sole purpose is to destroy him! Will a mother’s love be enough to bring “The Light” to this dark world?

Everyone on the planet prayed for the birth of a Holy One, a godly being who would carry the Light in a physical body. Their prayers are answered when a child is born who’s the embodiment of light and love. However, the child’s holiness is immediately dismissed because of his appearance. He’s so different that he’s labeled a demon by the people and the priests. There are even attempts on his life. However, he’s a powerful being and able to foil the efforts of all who try to harm him.

The leader of the priests is desperate to do what the people want, to get rid of the one labeled evil. He decides to raise his infant son with that sole purpose in mind. At the age of thirteen, the boy carries out his father’s plan. However, instead of killing the one he detests, his potent abilities almost destroy the planet. The Holy One’s light saves the world and restores balance. A little later, he leaves the planet voluntarily.

After almost destroying the planet, the priest’s son is tormented and abused by the people he tried to help. He becomes an outcast seeped in hate and bent on revenge. He vows to punish those who were so cruel to him. When he’s thirty years old and ready to act, his revenge is cut short. He’s bitten by a deadly scourge beast. It is only the love of his mother, a mother he never knew before he was bitten, that helps him to hold on to life. Facing an uncertain future, his challenge is to discover his real purpose and his connection to the Holy One he tried to kill.

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased SS Bazinet's book, A Mother's Love. The book was nothing like I imagined it would be, but I am happy I made the choice. Bazinet writes from the depths of her heart. The emotions she stirs through her characters' development is an incredible gift.
"A word escaped my blistered lips. I don't know why I said it, but it felt like the first holy word I've ever spoken. Mother--"
The story is a thought-provoking, spiritual journey that lends plenty of life lessons:
"Ignorance has no boundaries when one is filled with hate, Priestess."
It is a story about a mother's unconditional love for her son. The story of finding your place in the world and repairing broken relationships.
A riveting, moving story that holds you glued to the pages in wait for how it will all come together in the end. Hats off to Bazinet for a wonderfully written book. A book I highly recommend.

I’ve read several book by this author over the years, and I’m always struck by her versatility and her ability to step inside her characters skin. No matter what genre or character’s POV she chooses, the lives she creates are so convincingly real, while the trails she puts them through are extraordinary.

That is case once again in her latest book, “A Mother’s Love,” the first book in a brand new series. As in some of her other series, even though it’s a departure from the world as we know it, the characters and the challenges they face are completely relatable, even though their circumstances are something none of us have ever experienced. This makes for a fascinating journey into a parallel world, where our minds are expanded by having to face the unknown.

I had no idea what was in store for me when I started the journey. The scenes that unfolded were completely foreign to me, futuristic or maybe prehistoric, or maybe a combination of both. What her characters face are life and death challenges out of the middle ages, with supernatural twists.

But what I love most about this book is how the author explores the complexities of relationships, and how perception – or misperception – is what shapes our world and our interactions with it. Hope and love grow where despair, hate, resentment and fear have dominated. The unspoken message underneath this entrancing story is the ordinary joys of life, as well as the unimaginable, are all achievable, but not without spiritual growth. And that spiritual growth is a natural to humans as breathing.

A Holy One, the embodiment of love was rejected by the world.
A thirteen year old boy raised to kill him fails, and almost destroys himself and the world in the bargain.
Meanwhile the Holy One hears his Mother's voice, but decides to leave this world to return to the Stars where he belonged.
What of his would be killer?
His mother walks back into his life and with that he walks down a path of redemption realizing that his bond with the Holy One, the one the people called Father was never one of hate but something much deeper.
We then see what happens when greatness awaits, but the one on the path of greatness is reluctant to accept his fate. 'A Mother's Love' is a journey of a reluctant Messiah.
One who senses what the world needs but is hesitant to be that person.
One whose light is so bright that it can cure people of illnesses
One whose light can bring warmth into the lives of others.
As the book says...
"The Light is most powerful when it has nothing to define it. It can be ignored or shut out, but nothing can extinguish the light."
'A Mother's Love' is filled with words of wisdom, with deeper meanings that will help us truly connect with our souls, and other beautiful souls around us.
These words from the book best explain what the book is all about
"Even if it's been difficult , your path was as it should be . Because of what you've experienced , you bring something new and unique to creation." The words don't apply only to the one called Brother in the book but to each one of us . So if you look carefully as you read you will find meaning and words that speak straight to your heart.

So if you are looking for a book to

1) savour
2)mull over
3)enrich your reading experience
4) Find meaning
5) Bring joy to your heart

'A Mother's Love' by S S Bazinet is the book to read.

Author Bazinet delivers yet another, powerful, thought-provoking tale in A Mother's Love, Book 1 in A Light So Bright series. We follow the birth of two beings; one, known as Father, a much awaited and prayed for savior, who soon learns his appearance repels those very followers who hoped and wished for him. The second, known as Brother, is raised by the priests to destroy the being they refuse to acknowledge. Anger and fear are unleashed, with devastating, unforeseen consequences.

As their stories unfold, we see how both were influenced by the words and actions of the mothers who brought them into the world. Both come from vastly different environs, yet they connect, realizing the unwavering conviction and esteem these women held for them. In the worst of times, as they question their existence and actions, and have dark secrets and cruel manipulations revealed, comes a soothing reminder of a greater purpose that guides and lights.

This heartwarming story is filled with inspirational messages, spiritual reflections, emotional challenges, and thought-provoking situations as the characters evolve and ponder their direction. Sometimes we need to step back and remember the voices within that guide us in good times and bad, calming our soul, and renewing our light within. A highly recommended read!

OMGOODNESS …rereading it…I’m a speed reader, but, definitely, will be re-reading it again and again! I thought about, a scene in ‘The Phantom of the Opera,’ where he (reveals)sings about his mother’s loathing because he was so deformed…a mask his first bit of clothing…’ and how most fear what they don’t understand! This is most definitely NOT that mother!! ABSOLUTELY amazingly wonderfully woven mind bender…my heart ached…my senses exploded and, simultaneously, imploded. Gripping. Page turning. Visceral. A story of unconditional love! An ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!🌹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love is the Moving Force in the Universe

A tale of bigotry and chauvinism hides in the pages of Bazinet’s wonderful book about the birth and life of the Holy One.

Mixing biblical atmosphere with fantasy and legend, A Mother’s Love presents the reader with grief, intolerance, trials, and joy.

Bazinet’s parable reminded me of writings such as Herman Hesse’s Siddhartha and Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet. Poignant and thought-provoking, A Mother’s Love unfolds in poetic language and spiritual reflections.

With A Mother’s Love, S.S. Bazinet has written a story for the ages, one filled with emotion and grief, trial and triumph. Is the novel Biblical? Perhaps. Is it fantasy? Perhaps. A legend? It certainly possesses the spiritual touch of a myth handed down from generation to generation, a story without end, a story that slowly works its way into your heart and finds a warm place to reside without any intention of leaving.

Bazinet grabs you with her opening paragraph: “I never meant to be the most feared man on the planet. When I was rejected at birth, I was prepared to withdraw from this life, from this world. However, my mother was determined to keep me here. She loved me as soon as she felt me quicken in her womb. So I stayed.”

He is the chosen one. He is the holy one. He is an outcast. But he only knows he is different, a boy with indigo skin in a land where everyone else has golden skin and eyes. No one can touch him unless he allows it. No priest’s weapon can harm him. The eyes of the world watch him pass by, and no one knows who he is and why he walks among them. Is he the giver of life or the harbinger of death. And what is his mission in their world?

No one knows. He is the great unknown. He is the gift that so many want to destroy. He is the light in a world filled with darkness. He is the darkness that hides the light. He thus becomes one of the most fascinating and enigmatic heroes I have found in literature.

The writing is poetic and beautiful. It reaches down inside you and touches your soul. It becomes a journey that leads you toward self-discovery and enlightenment, toward atonement and redemption. A Mother’s Love is a book that needs to be read between the lines. The story is an intriguing triumph of storytelling. But the heart of the story lies just beneath the surface and between the lines. The message is powerful. It’s compelling. It’s magic.

Wow!

This is an incredible book! I often had to stop and ponder the wisdom and insight in chapter after chapter. At times it felt surreal as I am currently caring for my ailing mother and some of the passages referring to the soul really touched me. The possibiities!

This story induced a lot of self-reflection, as well as thought-provoking alternatives to how we handle certain situations!

A Mother's Love is visceral & deeply emotional! This is the type of book that will stay with you long after you've finished it! My favorite kind of book! It's one that you will want to read more than once!

I HIGHLY recommend this one! Well done!!!!
