It's rare to find a book that doesn't tell you what's wrong with you but encourages you on a journey of self-discovery. Prem Rawat's premise is that finding inner peace is an inside job - you already have what you need. He also emphasizes the role of "noise" in distracting us from paying attention to what is most important - listening to the voice of the authentic self within. "I'm here to help you appreciate everything that's right with you" he declares, instead of what's wrong. There are many quotes from ancient sages, from Seneca to Kabir and Rumi, but also some more modern authorities on living life peacefully.
We can easily become servants to being busy, and letting our devices rule our schedules, until we feel completely overloaded. I know that's true for me and many others close to me.
I loved this book because I am familiar with Prem's work, especially with the Peace Education Program, and I've seen the effects it can have on individuals.
If you are interested in discovering a source of peacefulness within, read this book. It will provoke some reflection for sure, and help you focus on what matters. I felt some peace just reading it.
