This book is full of puns, but has zero instruction for kids on how to actually go to the bathroom, nor does it have any positive messaging for the process of learning. Pretty useless as a potty training book. Plus a lot of the puns are just gross.
Honestly I was all in on this super-punny poop and pee book, right up until "Time to wash, my sweet CHEEKS." Listen, I have been successfully using the potty for well north of half a century but for a second I was like, "Are you supposed to wash your butt every time?" Hey, even successful processes can always be improved upon. And people in lots of cultures wouldn't dream of walking out of the WC without washing their wonderparts. But no, I am pretty sure this book means to say that you should wash your hands. Unfortunately, that's pretty much just a guess - nobody is SHOWN washing their hands, and the word "hands" doesn't appear in the text. Am I splitting hairs? I am not. Much like cookbooks, potty instruction books benefit from specific language and precise instructions. So this is a nope for me.
This silly board book is perfect for parents who are dealing with potty training. It is full of puns and funny pictures of toilets, poop emoji-like characters and silly "potty mouth" words like poo, pee, turd and tinkle. Full of positive encouragements and reminders of how much parents love their "big kids" this book is a great way to make this experience a positive one for everyone involved. I would recommend this book to parents of toddlers who have a sense of humour! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I know this is a book about going potty, but still overall the potty humor was too much for me. I wouldn't want my child repeating all the things in this book.
Wish I had this when my son was potty training. I love the positive, self-confidence building tone of the adorably cute book. With the utilization of potty puns and play on words, this fun book empowers potty trainers to make the choice to be more grown up and go #1 and #2 in the potty.
With super adorable illustrations showing parents and caregivers cheering their little potty trainers on, It's such a powerful way to take on this milestone with your little one
Turd- ally great book 4 sure!! Highly recommended for ALL ages 😊

A cute little book to help with potty training. I like that it was funny and silly without going into full-on baby talk. Illustrations were simple and colourful. Overall, a solid book to add to your potty training repertoire :)
This book was hilarious! Easily my favorite potty training board book I have ever come across. Full of puns and cute illustrations. Though not necessarily a specific "how to" guide, this would be a great read to encourage kids who are trying to learn.
This is a silly book full of turd-ally great potty puns that will help you keep your sense of humor during potty training! This is an important book for anyone teaching a child to use the potty.
A funny book that encourages children to potty-train. With puns and creative images, this book will give your children more confidence on doing their potty by themselves.
Loved this! It is lyrical and fun with great puns that will have kids and parents laughing. It's a fun read and way to introduce potty training to your toddler.
11/6/2023 - A fun and light way to introduce our toddler to potty training. The puns were a bit much at times, but my daughter loved repeating the word poooooo.
