Time heals all wounds…

Yeah, I call bullshit. My grief still bleeds out each and every day no matter how much time passes.

I’ve managed to make a new life for myself by helping my bestie run TheOmegasGuide—our viral social media account. We support freedom of choice for all designations.

Though I’m starting to wonder if having a choice is really all that great. Locke’s up my ass more than usual, acting weird, and…is my hulking Beta friend flirting? I’d be lying if I said I didn’t secretly hope he’d ignore that whole friend-zone thing. Then there’s Cohen—the commanding, broody Alpha who wants nothing to do with me, but that I can’t stop thinking about. Of course, I can’t forget Bastian—the sexy stranger I ran into—literally. With his big, warm, mouthwateringly gorgeous body and haunted brown eyes, I’d love the chance to get to know him better.

The intensity of our chemistry is explosive, but they’re not a pack, and I’m not looking for another forever….right? No. It hurts too much and goes against everything I believe now.

No relationships. No commitments. This Omega needs to rediscover just who she is and can’t fall into anything serious.

Nope. Knot a chance.

4.25 stars? Honestly this had the potential of being a 5 star but it fell a little flat for me. I wanted MORE. More time with the men, more of an epilogue. I wanted more scenes of all of them together. It felt a bit rushed toward the end. Overall I loved the characters, the storyline. Definitely check triggers since it does have past loss of partners/child. Goes into dealing with grief and overwhelming loss and how to learn to live and love again. I recommend reading if you don’t mind some heavier undertones

Kiss him you fool … hmm … okay well that will do too 🤣 A well written, engaging read that delves into love, loss, grief and stalking in the Omegaverse.

I enjoyed this story. There were some fun, sweet and hot moments and the characters were fairly likeable. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if the pacing was better. The less important parts of this story seem to be dragged out while the more important moments happen so quickly. There was a lot that was not needed in this story. Some things had potential to add interest but instead was quickly resolved or not even an issue. Like one of the MMC’s hesitation towards the FMC. He had no desire to form a pack or find an omega and his stance on it was pretty strong until it snaps like a 50 year old elastic band. I just wish there was more depth and the author fully committed to the potential angst. I was in the mood for a cozy omegaverse and it did hit that expectation for me.

I liked this one more than the last one, but not by much. I liked that this one had a slightly more put together storyline-Arden, a 26-year-old omega who tragically lost her pack and son two years ago, navigates her way through grief and back into the dating pool as she heals from her past-but I found the story lacking. It was sorta boring, very fast-paced, and the drama was downright exasperating.

Spoilers below

Much like the last book, I found that the mmc's unfortunately blended together personality wise. They were very one-dimensional, and the only real personality I noted was when Locke was pining for Arden and dealing with telling her his feelings. I liked that little bit of angst, but as soon as they had that fight and confessed they loved each other and hooked up, the little zap that held him apart from the others was gone. Then, in a move that completely obliterated any relationship building, Arden goes into heat and hooks up with Bastian and Cohen as well and their little bit of tension was instantly dissolved.

I gotta say that I absolutely hated the whole Bastian being the brother of the man who drove drunk and killed Arden's pack and kid part of the storyline. I thought it started out with potential - you know, something to add suspense to the story- but it irritated the ever-living-shit out of me. He stalked her, literally moved states because of her, and I was like okay whatever. Do you. He seemed to have her best interests at heart (for a stalker lol) - didn't even want her to know him and had no intention of interfering with her life - but when they started getting involved? Whatever respect I potentially could've had for him left. He slept with her knowing that she would be messed up over learning he was who he was, and then still did it and waited ages to come clean. Then, OF COURSE, we couldn't get a mature conversation between the two once she finds out. No, she had to hear the news from Locke. Convenient timing on that, btw. Insert eyeroll. Then, when Bastian gets around to talking to her about it, I ended up more annoyed at Arden than anyone because, yes, what he did was wrong and she should feel somewhat betrayed, but she had time to accept it before the confrontation and this man-despite his idiotic choices-is obviously hurting and is blaming himself for the death of, not only his brother, but her family, even though it's not his fault, and she just starts assuming this was all a game to him. Bro. Read the room. The man is obviously devastated and quite literally followed you states away to make sure you were okay and to come clean, and you think he's playing games? BFFR. But then she's absolutely fine with everything two seconds later and is in love with him...yeah, sure. At least if you're going to be pissed (I admit she had every reason to be and my moral compass is askew bc I feel bad for the guy) then be pissed for more than seven seconds and instantly forgive him. Dude, idk, the way that whole situation was handled had me so annoyed.

Also, the whole random larping thing?? Moving on..

Overall, I didn't enjoy it all that much. I think that's the thing with omegaverses though, they're all just too predictable, way too fast-paced, and, frankly, they all end up reading like every other omegaverse book. I think if the whole Bastian drama had been handled more maturely then I would've liked this better because I wouldn't have ended the book feeling so annoyed about the situation, but I digress.

Is that going to stop me from reading Reese's book? Hell no. It's got one of my fav tropes: dad's bsf/friend 😜 At least, I'm pretty sure that’s what the book is going to be. Guess I'll find out whenever it releases.

I'll go 2.75 stars for this one for the simple fact that the story wasn't horrible in any sense, plus the author did end up making me tear up a few times, and I am genuinely happy Arden got her happily ever after, even if I wanted to rip my hair out along the way as I was reading about it lmao.

Loved this one just as much as the first though it was heartbreaking at times.

Arden lost her pack and their son. She's been trying to get by with the support of best friends Bex, Locke and Jaxon. She's struggling a little with Bex being pregnant despite being so happy for her friend.

Cohen, brother to one of Bex's Alphas wants Arden. They have a connection that's hard to deny and as Arden feels herself becoming ready to move on with life, she's also confused by her feelings for her Beta best friend, Locke.

Bastian, Cohen's work partner is also thrown into the mix in an unexpected twist.

Again, I loved the cleverness of the plot here. I adored Locke 🥵; his Beta hotness out the Alphas to shame 🤣 . Though both Cohen and Bastian were terrific characters

Loved this so much. Can't wait to see what's going to happen with Reese and the Chief's pack...

This was such beautiful story that hits you soul deep.
I knew of Arden’s tragic story from Bexley’s book so anticipated shedding tears and having a slightly heavy storyline. While, yes it was heartbreaking in the worst way a mother can experience, the story was also very well portrayed. Watching Arden find herself again and experience what it feels like to truly live was so empowering. Also seeing her guys who have their own hang ups and struggles find a bromance together is fun, particularly with some great one liners from Locke! They came together to form their perfect pack and also loved all the glimpses we got into Bex’s pack!

This series has been one of my favorites to read for Omegaverse. I’m anxiously anticipating Reese’s story!!

I really can’t say enough about this last read of the year.
Sinclair has created an amazing cast of characters that I just can’t get enough of.

Cohen is an awesome alpha that has been married to his job and Arden comes along and changes his life focus in the best of ways that he never thought he would have. Locke is the best friend/beta that has known Arden forever and loves her and knows her to his very depths. Bastian has been the protective alpha in the background watching over Arden from afar. He feels a responsibly for the tragedy in Arden’s life in the same way she feels responsible although neither of them are.

Arden’s loss breaks your heart. She gets a second chance at a pack and love that she so richly deserves. When she goes back to her old pack house to finally deal with her past loss it is heartbreaking and beautiful.

Enough said .. read this book series if you get the chance.

I knew I’d love Arden’s book and the wait was more than worth it. This was a different kind of omegaverse for me and honestly made me emotional. I really felt the grief Arden was feeling and coming to terms with and her story was amazing.

This group was perfection. They understood Arden and her past and love her fiercely. They all fit so well together and pretty quickly too which I loved, they just had some kinks to work out. This second chance HEA gave me all the feels and made my heart pretty happy.

This book and series is oh so good. I’m so excited for the next book because I know they’re going to keep us on our toes!

This story follows Bexley's friend Arden and her harem Detective Cohen, co-founder Locke and a new addition Bastian.

second read:

- why dont more books have chapter titles i miss those
- the pacing from them from meeting to i love yous were a little quick
- i wish they had some more chapters in between to flesh it out
- they needed like a 100 more pages and it wouldve been perfect
- this is such a solid series all in all you just know the storyline and characters wont disappoint, on to the next

Fun

Overall, it's a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and love me some Locke.

I will say, if you need grovel after a mmc fucks up, then this isn't the book for you. Arden is way too forgiving when she discovers one of them lied and stalked her. It really diminishes the severity of the situation and breach of trust. They kind of gloss over it at the end. That and the excessive clothing descriptions in the beginning are what kept it from being a 5 star.

I highly recommend the story otherwise. This book will make you feel all the emotions.

Real Rating: 3.5 / 5 Stars

When I reviewed the first book in this series I made sure to put a disclaimer at the beginning of my review stating how and why I review spicy romance novels like this differently than I review other novels. I think I’ll post it again here, because I know I post a lot more reviews of “mainstream” novels now, but I bet most of my followers don’t know I read way more spicy romance novels released by independent authors than I do wide-release novels. I just don’t review them much unless I am specifically reviewing them for release.

So here’s the disclaimer: I don’t read books like “Knot a Chance” because it’s the most intellectually stimulating books in the world. As much as I’d like to deny it, I view my romance, erotica, and otherwise “spicy” books through a different lens than I do other novels; therefore, the way I rate them is going to reflect that. I need you to keep that in mind when you read my reviews, especially for a book like this, which is an omegaverse-based paranormal romance (AKA PNR). Simply put, I read omegaverse books sheerly because they’re fun, escapist, and hot. That’s it. If you want to judge me for that, then okay.

I have been waiting for this book since I read the previous book in the series earlier this year, but I didn’t end up enjoying it as much as I’d hoped. While it’s still a solid entry by Sinclair Kelly, it just didn’t hit all the same sweet spots for me that “I Think Knot” did. This may be due to the main theme of grief being rather heavy for my tastes, as well as my own neurotypical issues surrounding understanding and dealing with grief (that’s a long story not suited for a book review). The first book was fast burn, funny, and spicy. This book is a slower burn, not quite as funny, not quite as spicy, has fewer spicy scenes, and deals with a lot more psychological issues. So, even though it was enjoyable to read, it just wasn’t what I usually look for when I read an omegaverse novel.

I did enjoy the characters a great deal, and the cameos from characters from the first book were always a welcome addition. I like the set-up that was folded gently in for the next book in the series and will post my review for that when the time comes later this year.

I'm so happy I had the chance to read Knot a Chance! While I didn't love it as much as I loved its predecessor, I Think Knot, I still really enjoyed it and was super happy to get to spend more time with Arden.

I do feel like this was a bit insta-lovey? Which I mean, makes sense (kinda) when it's an omegaverse, but I feel like insta-lust is easier to buy than insta-love soI feel like we missed out on seeing these characters really get to know one another and fall for one another because we just kind of went from 0-100 really quickly. It was fine, but the development of their pack and relationships felt a little lacking.

The story itself, however, and the characters, the steam, and the depiction of grief, were all phenomenal. I was incredibly impressed with how Kelly talked about Arden's journey and her grief and the realness of it, and that was woven into the story beautifully. The characters were all hella fun and wonderful (Team Cohen for life) and I literally didn't put this book down because I just wanted to keep spending time with them all. We also got to spend a little bit of time with Bex and her pack so it was really nice to see all them again too.

Long story short - had fun, would recommend, can't wait to spend more time with these fools in the next Knot Yours installment.

4.3 stars.
This was really good.
I loved that we got, not just an omegaverse why choose, but within that we also got an age-gap, a friends-to-lovers, and a very light stalker romance…one of the reasons I love why choose so much. So much variety, all at the same time. It’s delicious.

I loved the sex and the way the relationships developed after a big push from an unexpected heat.

I will say, I would’ve liked more time with Bastian.
Everything that happened fit perfectly for the story, but I would’ve just liked maybe a couple extra chapters spent with everyone bonding with Bastian after his secret reveal.

Otherwise. I loved the story and the little bits of humor tossed around as a balance and relief from the very heavy subject of extreme loss.
Which reminds me. Check trigger warnings. If you are at all sensitive to the mention of spousal/child loss, I would consider maybe just skipping this one. It had a couple chapters, especially, that were heavy into that subject.

I’m glad I followed up in this series.
I’m looking forward to getting to know Reese and her men more in the next one. She sounds like a badass.

English isn't my first language, sorry if you find any mistakes.
Tropes:

- why choose
- best friends-to-lovers
- forced proximity
- a little bit of stalker romance

After reading the first book in the series I couldn't wait to read Arden's story! As predicted it was emotional because it deals with grief of former pack and child.

I appreciated all 3 guys but Cohen and Locke have a special place in my heart and that's why I would have liked more emotional connection between the male characters, because I feel like there's something between Cohen and Locke.

It isn't a 5 starts, but very close to one, because it was a little bit fast paced in certain parts and I didn't relate with Bastian, unlike the other main characters.
I also felt like in some parts it was more about introducing the next book rather than focusing about Arden's second chance at love.

Overall, I liked the story, but I still can't get over the male narrator on the audiobooks. He makes it hard to digest the information. I have the books on Kindle as well, and I'm sure I will enjoy it more once I read it myself.
I do like this storyline more than the first though. The struggle to find acceptance in losing love and family, and moving forward, is something I can't even imagine going through. I felt it was depicted quite well. The love and support this entire group of characters have is an amazing thing to imagine.

I’ve been waiting for this story since the first one in the series that introduced me to the Omegsverse. Although it had a different feel to the first in the series, this didn’t detract from the story for me.

It was heartbreaking seeing Arden struggle with grief and loss and moving on. The four main characters though were all so different and had broken pieces of their own they needed to work through.

Now I can’t wait for Reece’s story- it has some strong Daddy vibes already! 😂

Loving this series of cosy omegaverse books - the guys are exactly what I’m looking for in an OM - all doting after the omega 😊 love the female characters as they are not submissive and have their own stuff going on which is exactly how I like them! Some sadder themes around grief in this book, but I think they handled them well enough and didn’t go too deep into them. What’s not to love about a group of guys who all bend over backwards for their girl!

Fantastic contemporary sweet omegaverse romance! I loved the friends-to-lovers aspect tied in with the new beginnings for Arden. She deserves the wonderful pack that she found. I did find a slight lack of depth to what we got to know about Cohen as compared to Bastian and Locke. Smexy times were great. I loved the chemistry they found between themselves when it was "play" time.

This was a such a sweet story. There were ups and downs, but the loss and grief that Arden experienced was handled so well. The love was insta but so dang wholesome. For something that dealt with heavy grief topics, it still felt like a light read for me. The spice was fun and steamy with just the right amount of frequency. I can’t wait for Reese’s story!

A nice 2nd book

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 - not as good as the first book but pleasant. I wanted to know Arden’s story so I’m glad I read this but it didn’t light my world. It satisfied my curiosity but not as good as #1. I will read 3 bc I do enjoy the author.

I’m not crying, YOU’RE crying

Whew…I knew this one was gonna be an emotional one. I loved ever second of it.

Definitely some heavy subject matter so check your TW but the beautiful growth through the loss was so special.

The funny bits and spicy times definitely gave balance.

Loved Arden’s story 💕

I enjoyed this book more than book 1 - it was emotional but also inspiring. The themes of grief and learning to love again after loss was well written.

The plot was fairly predictable but it was easy to read and kept me entertained for a short time.

I can't wait to read Reese's book!

Really good sweet Omegaverse story. I'd recommend this series to someone who likes sweet Omegaverse or who may be new to the genre completely.

I don't consider myself very emotional but dammit this book made me cry more than once.

This was everything I had hoped for, for Arden. Sinclair Kelly did a great job giving Arden the happy ending she deserved!

I knew what was coming in the prologue and it still broke my heart. Thanks for that Sinclair! You really know how to break a persons heart in half. But you did give Arden some hot men to help mend her heart so I forgive you.

I’m telling the truth there, Arden’s men are hot! She’s got her best friend Locke who is a Beta and then two Alphas Cohen and Bastian who are reluctant in the beginning. Cohen doesn’t want to have a pact because of his job and Bastian is hiding something that has him not wanting to commit. After one heat Cohen and Locke are all in, but Bastian avoids Arden at all cost. You will have to read it if you want to know what happens this is all I’m giving besties! It’s definitely a must read and I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

This was a cute little read. It has childhood friends to lovers, small town heroes in the form of police partners, and lots of found family. The first part of this book were very sad - spoiler alert - deals with the loss of multiple partners and a child. But the main storyline was great to see, very focused on grief and being able to move forward with your life after the death of your family. I think Sinclair did a great job at navigating such a hard subject. This was a large theme of this book so if that is one of your triggers than this one might not be for you.

Would recommend reading and I look forward to completing the trilogy!
