Schlock! Webzine: Vol 16 Issue 26

Rate this book
This month we begin with mayhem on Mars, artistic antics on Picklock Lane, and a whole carnival of horror. We bid a last, fond farewell to Flora and Fauna in ' The Scouring of Silver Coast .' A young boy willingly places himself at the mercy of an oppressive regime. Lapine aliens return to Earth in force. Another boy encounters a strange artefact. And we have our first encounter of the issue with the cohorts of Dracula.

Returning from Mars, one man finds the new Earth even stranger than the planet he has forsaken. Two nineteenth century horrors begin a struggle to the death. Another man engages in the bizarre stalking of a young woman. Fleeve Thides travels to the Valley of Pfoagin. A murderous teacher meets his comeuppance in the chicken shed.

A profoundly indecisive man meets with an impossible decision. Another man comes face to face with himself, and doesn't like what he sees. A third goes back to school, but the reunion with a classmate rakes up old memories. And a certain phobia proves inconvenient for another one of Dracula's horde.

This was my first contact with this magazine, both as a reader and as a co-writer, and all I can say is wow, what a treat! I certainly didn't expect a webzine with a name like Schlock! to have content this good!

Here's some impressions, in order of awesomeness. I skipped over episodicals, as I didn't read the previous entries, and I will sustain from commenting poetry as it is not my area of expertise.

Great stories:
Green tongue portal
Butchered
Never tell tales out of school

Good stories:
When Jekyll met Renfield
Harlequin's kiss
The other mes
The Disposary
A path with different choices
Return to RS One
Cirape
Erythrophobia

The rest were just OK in my opinion.
