Ryder Greene had a good job as an inspector for Montana’s hydro-electric dams. He had a son, but his son’s mother was another man’s wife. The situation wasn’t the best, but he would deal with it. A disgruntled supervisor tricked Ryder into shifting, then captured his bear and sent him off to spend the rest of his life in a circus cage.
Cherie Sterling was an animal control officer, she loved her job. She loved animals and rescued animals for a living. She never suspected that saving four animals from a gypsy circus would change her life forever. Something about these animals was different and she had to find out why. Cherie decided to follow the four animals through their recovery.
Ryder Greene thought he had found his mate years ago until a stubborn animal control officer stepped into the filthy cage of Smokey the Bear.

About the author

I was born in Toronto, Canada. I moved to southern California in the mid-sixties. I worked for a record company, a cosmetic manufacturer, and as a school bus driver. I rescued abused horses and raised Quarter horses. I retired in 2010 and moved to New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, with my husband and menagerie of dogs, cats and birds.
In October 2015, I sat down with an idea while watching TV and started to write on my tablet and couldn’t stop.
In March, 2016, I released Bearly Too Old. By then I had written two books and was working on a third when I got brave enough to self-publish my first book. I hope you enjoy my books. They do contain adult content and are intended for 18 years of age and older.

This is a great addition to the Special Protection, Inc. series. It brings back Ryder from Escaping Reality book #3 and introduces several new characters.

Ryder has literally been through hell, he survives but he's not done yet. He has friends in need of help and he's not sure just who or how to help them. In steps pint size Cherie Sterling, her love of all animals and heart of gold, together can they save Ryder and his friends. This ongoing tale from Escaping Reality leads to a whole new adventure with lots of surprises, twist and turns.

I enjoyed Rescued (Special Protection Inc. #4). Ryder's character was strong even though he had been dealt a bad hand. He didn't let it get in his way of making a better life for himself or others. Elephants, Tigers, and Bears! Ryder and Cherie were a perfect match. Well done, Ms. Ellen.
