In this new series by #1 bestselling—and critically-acclaimed—mystery and suspense author Kate Bold, Camille Grace, a rising star in the FBI’s BAU unit, is dispatched to the one place she vowed to never return: the deep South. When bodies turn up on steamboats on the Mississippi River, Camille realizes she is up against a diabolical serial killer—one who will not stop until she finds him.
Camille must come to terms with her partner, and with her own local roots, as she plunges headlong into the investigation. It will require every ounce of attention she has to enter this killer’s mind and crack the code.
But a new lead into her own sister’s disappearance may just upend everything.

Kate and Palmer are searching for a killer who disposes of the bodies in the Mississippi River. In spite of their efforts and all the leads they were able to follow, the body count only gets higher, and their frustration with the case is bigger. After many twists and turns, they finally get a clue that will lead to the culprit closing the case. Camille tries to sort out her family life and secrets, and her dating life, which leaves the reader wanting to reach the next book in the series asap. I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
Not Well (Camille Grace FBI Suspense Thriller #3) was a great read by Kate Bold. Camille is called in for bodies that are turning up on steamboats on the Mississippi River. She has to come to terms with her partner and her local roots. All while plunging into the investigation. There is also a new lead in her sisters disappearance that could upend everything. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.
When FBI Agents Grace and Palmer are given an urgent case they are tasked with solving it quickly and quietly. Two bodies have been pulled from the Mississippi River and they seem to be connected only by the method of death. With not much to go on they start working the case. Two more bodies show up and it is a race against time to catch the killer before another body surfaces. Only this time it may cost them their lives.
3.4 Similar to others in the series it’s a short and sweet book and doesn’t focus too much on the police procedure but more on the characters themselves. I’m not so sure sure I believe that Camille is the greatest detective in the world and knows better than everybody else yet, but I do like her. Tension builds with her partner and another potential love interest so she’s two men to potentially choose from. I’ll continue the series and entertaining.
Liked this book but not crazy about how Camille came to the decision to get on the last boat. It didn't connect the dots for me at all, BUT, having said that, I gave the book an extra star for the author's reference to my favorite singer/songwriter, Leonard Cohen!
I’ve really been liking this series, and I would give it more stars if there weren’t so many editing mistakes! Did anyone spellcheck this book? There’s punctuation missing, words spelled incorrectly, and other inconsistencies that pull you out of the story. It’s incredibly annoying.
Kate Bolt has developed a sensational series including two FBI agents. Set in New Orleans, she adds an insight into the cultures of the area. If you enjoy a mystery series involving law enforcement, you should enjoy these books.
Not sure if what I was reading was an ARC, so many errors in words and spelling. Story line didn’t quite make up for it. I enjoy the characters but they tend to be a little too efficient at finding the villain.
This series from Kate Bold just gets better and better. This one was very interesting and well written as you can see by how quickly I read it. I don’t believe in spoiling books for others but I will say that you will enjoy reading this one.
The readers are absolutely horrible. Totally sounds like they are reading and not appropriate mannerisms. No true ending either as if there is a book 4???
Writing style reminds me of Stephen King. Larger vocabulary and better written than the other female FBI series I’ve read. A 3-dimensional main character.
