Really good ending to the series. Could have been better as the ending just didn't include of the main characters for some reason. Kinda mad I predicted it
Mia North is a former FBI agent that was framed for a murder and sentenced to prison. She manages to escape and now she is still on the run trying to find out who framed her.
Mia has friends and her former partner, helping her. In between trying to solve her own case, Mia gets involved in other murders to solve. Being out on the run and concealing her identity, she has do more as a "rogue" agent.
This one finds Mia almost getting captured several times and will this be her last day of freedom?
Mia is tired of hiding and not being able to be with her family but at the same time, she cannot stop believing that they'll discover who has set her up. Although she is supposed to lay low she goes after another man accused of murdering his wife. She struggles to save her own neck and not go back to prison, but finally, together with Hunter, Francine, and Wilcox the culprit is discovered! Surprising ending! I thank the author for the ARC.
This was a great series to read. I rated it a 4 star bc I felt like after reading this entire series and it being about an FBI agent trying to clear her name and make it back to her family, it wrapped it up within last 5 minutes of the last book. They could have spent a little more time on the conclusion.
Great story with a satisfying pay off. Mia and her ex partner join forces with the US Marshal tracking her and finally get to the bottom of the big frame up that landed her in prison.
