Erin Hunter is the pseudonym of five people: Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Tui T. Sutherland, Gillian Philip, and Inbali Iserles, as well as editor Victoria Holmes. This is my favorite of the three so far. I still have to read the third one but this one was so much fun. The boat was amazing and the story is so cute. I love Sasha and I cannot wait to finish her story.

I decided to read the next book as well, and this was even more heartfelt, and it makes me so mad when people just leave cats behind, but it's even worse when they put them under a bridge, in the water, or the side of the road. It's so infuriating and awful, I've actually found and saved a cat who was on the side of the road, she has a bruise on her nose from being tossed out of the car. This book really just gave me the feels, and I loved it.

These mangas are fun to read. This one, however, was pretty different (unique) as it didn’t focus on any specific clan cats. Sasha is a cat that really needed her backstory told and it sure is an adventurous one! The plot and story of this second book took me by surprise- but I think being on the boat with the housefolk helped her realize who she really is and what her true desires are. Also, the last page of the book leaves a cliff-hanger to the third and final issue of the 3-part ‘Tigerstar & Sasha’ series and future Warriors book. Overall, I enjoyed it- it’s uniqueness was fun and was a change of pace from the regular Warriors series.

I think this book was my favourite in the Tigerstar and Sasha series! It delved deeper into Sasha's. characterisation, which was fun. I do find it a bit disconcerting how different her characterisation is from the books... but that's nothing new to the Warriors series, and I honestly don't think it'd have much effect on someone reading the series in chronological order (ie. reading this during or right after The Prophecies Begin), as it's reasonable that Sasha's changed since the end of Return to the Clans. Regardless, I devoured this book, and wasn't as affected by the weird art style since I'd just read Into The Woods.

This volume was a bit boring. Most of the story centered around Sasha’s inner monologue and analysis on the world around her. I would have liked to see more action, but I still enjoyed it and am looking forward to the third volume.

You could have been more than a kittypet...

Erin Hunter is back with Escape from the Forest, the second installment in the Tigerstar and Sasha series. Though, considering he's really only part of book 1 and the first few pages of book 2, I don't know how much you could say this series really has anything to do with Tigerstar. Honestly, this is truly Sasha's story and the follow up in which she leaves the borderline abusive cat she thought she loved.

Heartbreak

There's definitely a sort of heartbreak that comes with learning the one you loved wasn't who you thought they were. It's certainly difficult to recognize manipulation and abusive tendencies and remove yourself from the one behaving that way when you love them. Honestly, despite her misgivings about Tigerstar's parting words, Sasha is a genuinely strong character we can all look up to.

This story picks up right where the last left off, with Tigerstar asking Sasha to join Shadowclan. After the horrors she heard spewing from his mouth, however, she turns him down. Soon, Sasha is on her own again now in search of a new home. Eventually this leads her to a dock where a man with a small boat and a lake cruise business is down on his luck. Fortunately, Sasha can help him turn it around.

The Not So Shocking Result of an Affair

So, it's not hard to figure out what will become of Sasha's relationship with Tigerstar. Of course, Sasha would never return to the manipulative monster of a cat. But, they did spend quite a bit of time together. Much of this novel is spent with Sasha finding a home with the Captain and helping his business. Eventually, cold sets in and he has to leave the dock. But Sasha decides not to go with him.

She has a different future for herself, one that I think many could guess and may even be included in the synopsis of the graphic novel series as a whole.

It was a really nice interlude, but the moments in which this part of Sasha's story really shined are the ones in which she made the hard, but right decisions. I think the merit of this graphic novel really comes from the idea that we must get away from manipulative abusers, even if we may love them.

There's a lot to say for Tigerstar's problematic treatment of Sasha on account of her being a kittypet. Somehow, it's okay that she is only insofar as she turns her back on her past and never speaks of it again. Yet, in the same breath, Tigerstar wishes to destroy other kittypets. I'm honestly surprised at the depth of this story and impressed with Sasha's strength.

Y'all, I did not expect to cry reading this. That ending came out of nowhere and made me so sad :(

I'd say this was a huge improvement over the last one! It was really fun seeing where Sasha's travels took her, and the storyline with the Captain and his boat was very cute. Somehow I could really see this particular volume as an animated show even, the story just flowed really well. Especially with the two "villains", aha, that felt like it was right out of Scooby Doo or something like that. Both Sasha and the Captain needed each other, and they were able to help each other <3

Patch is also adorable! We don't get to see a whole lot of him but I love him anyway. Sasha's departure really broke my heart, but I get that she needs to go back to the forest for her kits. I like to think that maybe once her kits are grown and go to RiverClan, she goes back to visit the ship and be reunited with the Captain and Patch. Honestly, I'd be so down for a spin-off of Sasha's boat adventures. Idk, the whole concept is just really cute to me.

Anyway, now that this one is through, we'll be going back to the main series for the Power of Three's big finale~ Time to see the fallout of Ashfur's death and everything that comes with it, I can't wait :D

We follow Sasha in the second manga this cool warriors trilogy - she has rejected clan life and tigerstar's evil plots and plans, and she struggles with life as loner. I liked it and found it very good. Here are some comments about the book -
A review from Publishers Weekly was positive commenting on girls would like how Sasha went away from the powerful Tigerstar. The art was also praised with the reviewer writing "Hudson's artwork brings Sasha's emotional journey to life, showing each moment of fear, anxiety, contentment and joy. The cat's-eye perspective of many of the panels, in addition, add a dramatic, energizing element to the book". The reviewer also wrote "A twist at the end will leave fans eager for the next installment of Sasha's saga". At the same time the book would also appeal to people trying to find their place in the world. School Library Journal also gave the book a positive review feeling that the plot would attract new fans and appeal to old fans. The reviewer also wrote "Though the cover claims that this is a "manga," the straightforward illustrations are drawn in a simple, realistic style".

Once again this manga is really frustrating. I do feel bad for Sasha when she discovers Ken is dead but she still keeps making very stupid choices. She feels she has to flee from the forest because of Tigerstar. She keeps saying the whole manga that she can't go back to Tigerstar because of all the horrible things he wants to do. She ends up in a pretty good place with Patch and the Captain. She even says she loves it and she is being well taken care of. At the end of the manga she makes the decision to go back to the forest with Tigerstar's kits knowing what she knows about Tigerstar and Bloodclan. Her reason is that she can't rely on people and has to look after herself. Yet she is fine leaving Patch (who by the way is a kitten or at least seems to be) in the care of the Captain. She has complained about being lonely but has Patch and can at least stay till her kits can take care of themselves but instead goes back to the forest to give birth by herself in the woods? It doesn't make sense. Also Tigerstar is still out of character in this book.

Premise: Despite the challenges she knows she'll face in striking out on her own, Sasha can't bring herself to join ShadowClan upon discovering Tigerstar's true character. She gets as far away as she can from her former mate and his Clan. But even as she does, the inexperienced she-cat is forced to survive against wild animals, unfriendly humans, and hostile rogue cats. And it only gets harder when she finds out she's expecting Tigerstar's kits. Will Sasha give up hope, or will she keep going until she finds the love and sense of belonging she yearns for?

Story/Writing: It's good that the first volume in this graphic novel trilogy ended on a cliffhanger, 'cause I was dying to know what happens! While I have kind of read/watched this story before – where someone strikes out on their own and faces a ton of hardship before getting a break in the end – and they usually feel a bit cliché, I was still interested in seeing where it would go. And I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised and more than satisfied with where the story went! Since this kind of story is a bit common, I've always felt like if you're gonna have us sympathize for a character by having them go through some hard times, then you have to do that in an interesting way that sets it apart. And I was interested from the first to last page! I knew the story had to go somewhere different than it first seemed, and I was satisfied with how it handled that.

Artwork: Once again, the artwork is fantastic! For most of the time, Sasha is the only cat in a world seemingly dominated by Twolegs. So that was a nice change of pace in a series where the focus is usually on the cats. It's always cool to look at things from an animal's point of view, even if it is fictional. But back to the art, the landscapes were beautifully drawn. I liked that no two humans looked exactly the same. And of course, the way Sasha is drawn – especially the humanlike expressions on her face – really make you feel for her and what she's going through.

Sasha – As I just said, Sasha is the only prominent cat character in this title, and thus the one with the most development. While it's always good to read about a character go through trials and tribulations, what makes said character strong is how they react to them. Sasha has always been a good-natured cat. And while a little bit naïve, she's clearly gotten more wise since the last volume in the trilogy. She's brave enough to decline Tigerstar and his offer to join ShadowClan when she realizes he's not the strong and courageous leader she thought he was – well, maybe he is strong and courageous, but in the wrong ways – yet you feel so bad for her and her rough encounters with both animals and humans. You hope that she won't give up hope, that she'll get through everything life throws at her, and fortunately (for the time being, anyway) she does!

Various Other Characters – Given how, early on, Sasha is searching for Ken, it's heartbreaking when you realize before she does that he's passed away. Both of her humans are now gone, so she pretty much has nowhere to go. That said, it's heartwarming when she befriends the ship captain – even if he does lock her in that hot, stuffy room at first (which, arguably, is animal abuse). And it is kinda funny when he starts calling her Brownie. Still, she becomes something of a local celebrity and even saves the captain and his boat. But you ultimately know she can't stay there, and it makes her separation from the captain a bit easier to swallow when Patch arrives on the scene. So at least he won't be alone when she goes off again. That said, their parting was bittersweet.

Overall: Another great graphic novel in the "Warriors" series, and a great midway point for this particular trilogy! For the record, it is amusing that the trilogy is titled "Tigerstar and Sasha" given it's mostly about Sasha and her adventures, but I digress. I thought this was a pretty touching story in sad, happy, and bittersweet ways. And given that it leaves us on yet another cliffhanger, I can't wait to read the conclusion to Sasha's story!

2 Stars, If i could rate it a bit higher maybe 3 half stars(we can't do half on Goodreads so I'll just rate It two)

For me I just can't get over the badly anatomy art In this comic, This has been the only Manga I've read in the series (tried to find the first one but I couldn't, I think my library only has about two other Warriors Manga, E.A, The Raven-Paw One).

The reason why it looks so off is that of the weirdy squared chins, Her figure is blocky and messed up, She looks like she doesn't have a neck in most of these drawing, and her body is mega stiff. It just looks uncanny and grossly realistic but also like not realism?

Like the artist is trying their best to make it look like it's real, but in reality, it just fails in that art.

If I could suggest anything, it would be to be to change your whole artist style because how It's going It not going anywhere, and while semen-realistic isn't bad or anything, with warrior cats/half like Anthro animal It looks off.


Talking about the story now, I love the idea of how Without Tigerstar (basically without her abuser/toxic boyfriend) she feels lost just strand by the streets; It shows that even if you let us say lose a bad person in your life, that trauma sticks with you. But when she overcomes it, and finds a new home with that fisher-guy, it's slowly becoming better. The fisher-man here is basically a symbolism for family and friends/therapist


Or maybe I've over-analyzing it. I do not know, bro. I just like the stories. It's pretty good, but it gets slow at time.

Also, I can NOT see why people are so mean to the cats in warriors cats (mostly the manga but it happened In the major series too). This is nick pick and I know it's dumb to complain about, but I see it everywhere here! The only human that is nice is the fish guy. I can see why they would do that (to create sympathy for the main character, but it's such a crappy way).

It's not a bad book but, The art just breaks it for me If it was something like the main series (so like writing style, or writing but some pictures) then I wouldn't have anything to pick with it since the drawing would play a small part,

But comics/Manga You have to have a ''good'' art style to have a good Manga(since its core is in art, and panels)

I probably wouldn't be reading much Tigerstar & Sasha Manga anyway soon so.

Sasha talks with Tigerstar about what she overheard in the forest and ends up leaving Tigerstar to gain power while she tries to find her way alone. Her only hope is to find Ken...but where to look? Following his scent she wanders through the world of the twolegs fending off alley cats and meeting up with long ago friends. By chance Sasha comes across a boat and finding it a good place to hide for a while she settles in ony to awaken to it moving. Scared at first by the strange sensation she soon finds it thrilling....all the new scents and sights. When found by the captain she is booted off but luckily some of the passengers enjoyed having a cat onboard and have spread the word. Could Sasha be welcome here on this boat? Could she finally have a safe place to live with the old sea captain? I'm rooting for Sasha to find peace, she's so caring and kind....she thinks of others before herself and generally tries to just fit in. She doesn't ask for much....the necessities like food and shelter would do her fine as long as she doesn't have to harm others for it like Tigerstar does.

The authors really knew how to pull one's heartstrings with this one, huh. The whole time I was just like *clutches heart* this is so sad! Especially, in the beginning when Sasha searches for Ken, but then realizes that he's gone. He's passed away. And then it got cute, but still sad when she met the nice Captain. Part of me wishes she could have stayed with him because he was kind to her from the start. However, Sasha was right in that depending on humans is risky. Especially, since the Captain is an older gentleman and she knows he won't be around forever. Just arghhhh 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I hope Patch has a long and happy life with him. And I'm glad Sasha and the Captain at least got a goodbye and closure. He was so understanding 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

All in all, a fantastic part two to this manga! I look forward to seeing how it concludes.

Though, I also want to know what becomes of Sasha later in the main series. We know she always remained a rouge, but I want to see more of her now other than this manga qjqnqnbwkwwnw

This is a big improvement from the first volume. Unlike other warriors fans I really couldn't care less about Tigerstar most of the time, so it was nice to just see the quiet development of Sasha as her story progressed. And I know that Hawkfrost is literally no more than a foetus in this but it still makes me anxious because I know what's coming !!!

My favourite part about this is the two storylines that run side by side - the story we as humans can understand, and Sasha's own interpretation of it. It's so cute. The art seems better in this volume too. Everything has a sweet, sentimental vibe and I did find myself getting attached to the characters despite only taking less than half an hour to read this :') Especially the old man. What a lad.

The warriors comics are notoriously short so other than that there's not really much I can say to be honest, but I definitely like this more than #1

This is a review for the entire Tigerstar & Sasha story. I thought that Sasha immediately thinking Tigerstar was the sexiest cat alive was weird. I get that they end up together, but it would have been nice to see it happen a little more naturally; it felt very forced. I absolutely adore the scenes where she becomes a boat cat. Her affection for the Captain was so lovely. I really hated seeing Patch in the bag in the water. I know it's not real, but it pains me to know that that sort of thing has likely happened in real life. I am glad they rescued him and lived to see another day. I hate how Sasha went back to the clans, but I know she had to because then Hawkfrost and all the crap he caused wouldn't exist. It was so sad when Tadpole drowned, but I have to wonder how he drowned like instantly. He could have floated to the top and been grabbed, just saying. All in all, a great story. The art style is obviously horrendous, but the story is lovely.

This is my favorite installment in this manga series, and it's largely because Tigerstar isn't in it. Reading the first installment gave me a sense of deja vu, and I suspect that I may have read it back in middle school when I was first introduced to Warrior cats. But this second book was uncharted territory, and I had the rare joy of reading a Warrior cats book with virtually no idea of what to expect from it.

I loved Sasha's friend The Captain, and her time with him warmed my heart. I was relieved that she told him she was leaving, and I was glad that he had another cat to take care of in the wake of her absence. The subplot of an old man discovering that he's a cat person was just lovely, and this book's art style was well-suited for that story. I also appreciate how Sasha's time on the water foreshadows her decision to join RiverClan, and it's cute to think that Hawkfrost and Mothwing were born to be swimmers. (Unfortunately, the opposite might be true for Tadpole...)

This story is a spin-off from Erin Hunter's Warriors novels, featuring the adventures of kittypet-turned-forest-cat Sasha, after she refuses to be part of Tigerstar's plan to rule the four clans.

Sasha tries to seek out her former owner among the housefolk, but instead finds herself on a tour boat, helping out the captain in some surprising ways.

This was a nice self-contained story (in spite of being the middle chapter in a three-part series), that resolved several plot points. It also featured a lot more interaction between cats and humans than most Warriors stories do, and it was fun seeing some of the story from the human perspective.

This is a solid addition to the Warriors canon of stories, with some tender moments and some fun bits of action.

I enjoyed this story about Sasha and her adventure trying to go back to living with the “two legs”. I especially loved that she ended up in a completely new place and got to enjoy a completely new experience and environment that was mutually beneficial to both her and the person she ends up staying with. I wasn’t entirely thrilled at her relationship with Tigerstar in the first installation of her adventure since he seemed rather manipulative so it made me happy to see her being so independent in this portion of the story and basically entering a completely different and more positive chapter of her life, like someone who is learning and growing, just like anyone of us!
