Hello lovers of apocalyptic thrillers!

I devour the same books I enjoy writing: science fiction, set in an apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic or dystopian world. I love stories about regular people being thrust into extra ordinary circumstances, and having to rely on their own cunning and that of others to survive. And I love a twist at the end.

My just released Ashfall Apocalypse, as well as previous series Madness, Highway and Stone Age are those kind of stories. They're fast moving, have some regular (and amazing) characters who must make life changing decisions, all while the world is experiencing an apocalypse.

Besides writing, my wife and I travel the world (often to research the next book). But often you can find me on a beach, Kindle in hand, with my Toes in the Water (name of my publishing company).

This wasn't really my favorite by far, but I did like the epilogue and that the audio from latisha was what is now the book. I liked that Campton got a happy ending and Chloe and Joey have a baby, also that Ron finally allowed himself to be loved by Lynette. I didn't care for the name lancelot or millie. I wanted to see more of trout and the bad guys instead of this story but it was interesting.

The stunning finish to a remarkable story

Volcanic ash covered the Earth and kept the warming sunlight from the freezing survivors. The quick thinking ingenuity of one man with the help of a strong group of willing and capable men and women, struggle to exist in this barren landscape. Lawlessness and crime only add to the danger. A long dangerous journey seeking sanctuary pits them against Mother Nature and human nature. A thrilling ride with friends (mostly) through a frozen hell, they call it Perdition, and they may be right. The characters are an amazing ensemble cast in a story possible in so many different ways. The storyline is so well written! I laughed, I cried, I ground my teeth in impotent anger, I read in disbelief and I woke my wife up cheering! She's not real thrilled with the book (my reading actually) but I am! This is a great read! My only problem with the series is the ending. Not the story's ending, but the story ending! I want more!

Not much respect for his readers!

Banner is a decent storyteller (who needs pre-publication readers who don't fawn).

I was super disappointed with Collapse (Book 2 in this series) which really felt like the author was phoning it in.

SPOILER ALERT!

"FOUR MONTHS LATER"?! WTF?! His characters go from being okay-ish with a looming threat from outside to being in serious trouble in those three unexplicated words. And the rest of the book, which I had to slog through, read like the author had hired a 16 year old ghostwriter to flesh out his outline while he went fishing.

Fortunately, the third book was steadier. Except for the unfortunate insertion of God into the ending chapters, it was a decent tale.

BTW, though, I did find the complete lack of road blockages after the first book a bit ingenious and lazy, if not downright fantastical.

This MUST Continue!

I have so enjoyed these books and I hope Mr. Banner will continue the series. I don't know who my favorite character is But I definitely love Leticia. I need to know what happens next! So many books end with overpowering the bad people and then it's done. I wanna know what happens next, how they survive and what they do. You can't go wrong reading this series!

Ashfall Apocalypse Book 3

Once again i get sucked up in this Great Apocalypse story. I Loved this series, the characters feel as though i could move right in and be friends. I am so glad that Compton let Ron know that he needs to be a team player. Each of the characters have made deadly mistakes. Absolutely Loved the ending. I am looking forward to reading another series by M.L. Banner

Fun but somewhat difficult to follow

I didn't find it easy to follow with multiple characters popping in and out giving their opinions as to what was happening at the time, especially when I'm not reading the story continuously. But it's a fun story with lots of action and twists. Great ending!

Terrific

It took a while for Ron to get his head on straight, and he finally does. In Arizona they meet up with Joe's family after a mishap or three. There teamwork becomes critical .
No more books from this series please. I liked the ending. This was a nice series with nods to the Stone Age series that I mistakenly called the Ice Age series.

I enjoyed this third book in the series. It had some great twists and the ending wasn't what I thought it would be so that was fun.
It was fun to see how all of the characters (that lived) changed and stepped up at different times throughout the disaster.
I would like to read more about Compton.

An epic series

Yes, love this series. Sorry this story ends here.😪. Perhaps there will be more to follow soon🥰. It feels like there are to many dead ends between Ron and Nan, Polar Bear and it turns his wealth. 🤬. Where does all that leave our friends?

Hopefully, they are safe in Arizona but who is to say?

3.5 stars for the series

I really liked the fact this series really had little to no vulgar language. And I enjoyed the spiritual aspect. More prevalent in this book.
I recommend this series and I'm sure this won't be the last M. L. Banner book I'll read.
As to continuing this series....that's a big no vote for me! Series usually become so redundant after the 3rd book.

A great ending

This final story had lots of twists and turns and some big surprises. The story is fun to read and didn’t take the direction I expected it to, which made it interesting to continue reading as it was more unpredictable than many books I’ve read. I’d love to read a continuation of the story of the Characters in Arizona if the story is ever continued.

Safe at last?

The three part series ended on a happy note. After overcoming all of the hardships the little band is as safe as possible in their little bit of heaven. Suitable ending with just a few unanswered questions.

Unbelievably stupid, just could not finish this book. Just kept getting more and more unbelievable. Was very aggravating at the stupidly and very dumb plot. I thought the first 2 books were OK and I wanted to like the series. But it just kept getting worse and more unbelievably stupid.

Good Series

So good, I'd rather it didn't end yet. Hope there are more Books in the series. I would snap them up on Unlimited.
