Jennifer Hayden was born in Washington State. During her childhood and young adult years, she spent many hours lost in the adventures of a good book. She began writing her own stories at the age of 12 when she "ran out of books to read at the library." By the time she graduated from high school, she already had a job as a secretary/office manager, where she eventually met her husband, Mike. For the next several years, she wrote in her spare time, sharing her manuscripts with friends and family. At the urging of two good friends, she decided to go for broke and leave her secretarial career behind in pursuit of this magical literary journey. She now has 54 books available.

This is a somewhat interesting, convoluted story about sisters, half-sisters, brothers, families, and lies. It starts with the reading of a will and revelations on family ties. The will reveals manipulation and control placed on inheritors, after the death of a very wealthy man - revealing stipulations that must be followed in order to be given money and property. I would have given more stars but this book had a WTF twist in the final chapter that I can only attribute to the author not remembering the actual familial relationships established in the book. Seth who was the "true" son of the wealthy man who died, became sexually involved with Stella, his half-sister, by the same father. Ewhhh! Be aware that the book ends with a cliff-hanger so to finish the story you must read the next book in the series.
