Bo I've been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder. Like that could ever stop me from getting what I want. I don't do relationships, but I do women. I'm seriously not interested in your favorite colors, your favorite books or your favorite anything, just in my favorite part of your body. I love as a friend and as a son, but never as a partner. I'm loyal to a fault, but only to my best friends and my mother. I'm a joker with my inner circle, but a wild card with everybody else. I really thought I'd die like that until Arrow McCall showed up at my office one day and messed up everything. I'm not sure if I'll teach her a lesson or she'll be the one teaching me everything I failed to learn.
Arrow My school counselor told me many years ago that I'm an introvert. Like that could ever stop me from being anything else than great. I don't do relationships, but I do care about my career and righting the wrong. I'm seriously not interested in parties, social gatherings, or crazy nights that I'll never remember, just in becoming a lawyer and being the best version of myself. I love to read and to find out more about the world and everything in it, but one thing I could never love is seeing people getting hurt by the monsters that live amongst us. I'm my family's heart, but I always call a spade a spade. And that's exactly what I'm planning to do to the spoiled billionaire, Bo Nash. I really thought I'll be able to take him down, but with each day that passes I learn more about him and about myself and I'm not sure I'll stick to my beliefs until the end.

When she was barely a teenager Mira got addicted to fictional worlds. She devoured hundreds of books throughout the years, and one cold day some characters started screaming in her head. That's when Mira decided to start writing and she never stopped.
Mira likes her characters driving the plot, and their redemption arc done properly. She writes misunderstood heroes and strong female leads. Her inspiration comes from stories she overhears in restaurants and from different "what if-s" she asks herself.
She's a lover of loyalty, equality, watermelon, and Formula 1. Her Kindle is almost always next to her, and her notes are full of random thoughts she plans to put in her books.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
WOW 🥵👏🏾👏🏾 YASSSSS !!! I LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK!!
First, can i just say that I love Arrow, truly .. but I would totally steal Bo away from her if I had the chance lol. One thing I loved about this book was that we got to finally get an idea of who Bo was and I fell in love with him even more.
Bo suffers from General Anxiety Disorder but that’s never stopped him from getting anything or any woman he’s ever wanted until he meet Arrow. She’s not interested in the spoiled and arrogant man she thinks he is or his consistency in trying to get with her. Honestly, I loved the chemistry between Bo and Arrow which was palpable from the start despite the cutting words between them.
I loved how hard he loves and cares for those who places in his heart. His selflessness for his friends and his mother was absolutely beautiful. I related to Arrow so much being an introvert myself, it’s hard to break down those walls and let people in especially after the ones closer to you hurt you & Bo made sure he was there to do that the whole way through when she needed it & she did the same for him so that was so sweet.
I said it once, i’ll say it again .. I LOVED this book and can’t wait to read more from the author.
An enemies to lovers book that is so worth reading!
An atypical twist on typical tropes - this isn't your run of the mill billionaire/enemies-to-lovers romance. *Minor spoilers*
🚨TW: domestic abuse, sexual assault, substance abuse, addiction, sexual harassment, mental health, violence. References to incest, abortion, murder, miscarriage, derogatory usage of R-word.
📋Tropes: enemies-to-lovers, billionaire, manwhore X virgin, office romance, age gap.
🔥Heat: 3.75 out of 5. While there is quite a bit of verbal/descriptive interaction, this is a slow burn angsty story. ♨️
🌶 Spice: 3.25 out of 5. It takes awhile to get there, but once the main characters stop hate-lusting and fighting each other, things get spicy.
MMC Bo Nash is a young pharmaceutical billionaire with a tragic past, but he isn't stereotypically broody or cold. He is a kind, charming, funny, gracious, momma's boy with a penchant for using nicknames. Bo is also an unapologetic f***boy purposely using sex as a way to avoid intimacy.
In his mind, if Bo doesn't go on dates, doesn't hold hands, puts zero effort into a woman beyond sleeping with her, then he will never have a relationship and therefore never evolve into the monster his father was. Growing up in an affluent home where his father was a womanizing abuser, Bo's sole life ambition now is to never become anything resembling his father. As an adult, several of the coping mechanisms he's developed to further that goal are no longer serving him but instead leave him with severe anxiety and panic attacks.
MFC Arrow McCall is a timid law student hired to work as an executive assistant by Bo Nash's corporation. Arrow sought out the position, in part, with ulterior motives and preconceived notions regarding Bo Nash. This is further complicated when the meet-cute ends up being a potential HR nightmare. During a business trip, Arrow rather quickly discovers Bo's paternal traumas and realizes Bo is unlikely to be the villain she thought he was.
The pair form a shaky bond and team up to figure out the truth behind manipulations and lies. In the process, Arrow learns how to be open and finally speak-up for herself.
Pros: The banter is amusing so readers who love witty dialogue will love the exchanges between characters. POV alternates between Bo and Arrow so readers gain insight into their frame of mind. On the surface, Bo may have the most growth over the course of this book but I felt like Arrow's arc was more interesting to watch unfold and likely will be more relatable for readers. Though the overall tone & style aren't my usual taste, the author's pacing, plot devices, and conflict development were nicely executed, characters are well fleshed out and dimensional.
Cons: Characters are over-the-top emotional operating at an extreme, seemingly at all times. Most deep discussions or heated debates between characters involve all parties becoming sobbing messes. Despite Bo's past trauma and current anxiety, it's a stretch that he'd constantly be brought to his knees with tears streaming down his face at the slightest trigger particularly as his internal monologues reflect someone with keen emotional self-awareness. A few minor editing issues with incorrect pronoun references as well as a couple sentences cut off abruptly without any punctuation; that could just be an ARC version problem resolved in final ebook and print copies.
🌟 General Rating: 3.75 out of 5 Stars.⭐️
This is the second book in the Dysfunctionally Perfect series but may easily be read as a stand alone as plenty of throwback context references are provided. Readers of book one will already be familiar with Bo's history and will be happy that Hail and Violet (along with Violet's sass) make plenty of appearances throughout book two.

So, I am not sure were to start but …
Arrow ❤️
This women is everything I wanna be when I grow up. She knows her mind and she knows her limits🔥 The way she handles Bo … OMG! And also WOW❤️
Their interactions from start to finish are just the sweetes type of candy, the kind that you taste and don’t wanna give it up even tho you might get diabities !
Her relationship with Hail and Violet - I was so angry at her for not liking Violet and for keep going on with MR Cade in one point I wNted to slap her so she can wake the Fuck up
But, she is the damn best lawyer and I love her
Bo 🤤🔥
I claim him for beeing mine I will fight Arrow if need be. This damaged, broken man , broken kid is everything and much more … is the kind of person you want to woke up with every damn moment of your life.
His pove for his friends and his mom is something to put on the shelf and keep there so no one can touch it or disturb it.
His love for Arrow is the kind of love most people find once in a life time or don’t find at all.
She managed to tame the dragon in him and we saw more of him and I think we all fall for him hard 😳🔥
His way to give nicknames hust melts your heart!
He even gave Arrow a nickname from the day he met her 🤣🤣🤣 and is so funny when everyone around him knows she is the one but he is afraid to say it 🤣🤣
Overrall this book gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ lots and lots of stars because man I fell inlove with it.

TW: sexual content, rape, miscarriage, drugs, BDSM, abuse, alcohol, death, child abuse, Anxiety Disorder HEAVILY involved in plot.
Bo is the CEO of the company his asshole father passed down to him. He also has a sex addiction and has had sex with over 1,000 women. Relationships, obviously aren’t his thing. Arrow is a law student, needing an internship to help pay for her best friend Cassidy’s rehab. Bo and Arrow cross paths when Arrow interviews at Bo’s company with his best friend Hail to be his personal secretary. Bo falls for Arrow almost immediately, and has to convince her that he isn’t an asshole.
I loved this story. I loved all the characters and the way that the author showed the truth of Anxiety- panic attacks and all. Over any and everything that triggers you. Bo and Arrow’s romance was such a pleasant one to read about, and I’m so glad that they ended up together. I loved the plot twists when it came to Cassidy and what she did to the relationship. It was a roller coaster of emotions!
We Were Just Leaving is the second, standalone in the Dysfunctional Perfect series. This is a enemies to lovers, billionaire, opposites attract, workplace romance where the MCs are relatable and have intense chemistry.
Going into We Were Just Leaving after reading the blurb and tropes, I was hoping this wouldn’t be the typical billionaire romance and it wasn’t! Miriam Rostenvaig has delivered an atypical twist on the billionaire romance and I really enjoyed it.
Both of the MCs are real and flawed. Bo is the billionaire man whore who suffers from anxiety, trauma, and doesn’t do relationship. Arrow is an introvert who loves with her whole heart and her nature doesn’t stop her from doing anything and everything for her family and friends.
This book was an emotional roller coaster and I loved seeing not only the growth Bo and Arrow experienced as individuals, but as a couple as well. The writing was okay and it did slightly take away from the experience. My favorite part of this book and why I loved it was that Rostenvaig brings to light mental health issues in men which isn’t something that is talked about.
Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
TW: domestic abuse, sexual assault, substance abuse, addiction, sexual harassment, mental health, violence. References to incest, abortion, murder, miscarriage, derogatory usage of R-word.
This is an intense, emotional roller coaster of a book. It is a compelling story and also deals with anxiety and panic attacks whilst at the same time detailing a touching live story… well done!
More like 3.5* but I wanted to differentiate between the 2books in the series and I rated the first one at 4* so…
I don’t know what didn’t click for me with this one. Maybe I’m not “into degradation” like Arrow. Or maybe I didn’t get the spark between these two as much as I did Violet and Hail. It was that really witty dialogue that got me into the series in the first place and I couldn’t find that with Bo and Arrow. Also, I wanted more Bo and Hail - their dynamic in the first book was on par with the protagonists.
I will say this though - the plot is much more well defined and believable and 10years ago I would’ve definitely fallen head over heels for the Bo character, who was the most well-defined out of the entire series and was funny, sexy, an ass, powerful, vulnerable and flawed all at the same time.

BACKLIST REVIEW
Is it on KU?: Yes, its included!
Book Cover: Swoon-Worthy
Favorite Quote: “I would rather fuck a hippo infected with Ebola rather than do that!”
I got this book as a backlist book from The Smuthood – Review Tours. This is book #2 in the series “Dysfunctionally Perfect”. I would recommend reading the first book just to get an idea of who the characters are and where they come from, but it can be read as a stand-alone.
Do you like SPICY, easy reads? Then this book is for you. The writing was mediocre, but the smut was out of this world and everything you could ever want. This book was so intense and full of emotion from the start that it was hard to even put the book down.
This book follows an older, hot, and wealthy CEO Bo & a young girl Arrow who is on a mission to right all the wrongs that Bo has caused her very best friend. I fell in love with both Bo & Arrow from the start. Arrow has so much compassion and love for her family and friends that she would die for them in a heartbeat, and it shows in everything she does. Arrow is the kind of girl I would love to have in my circle. Bo was nothing but a heartthrob from the start. The amount of love and protectiveness he has over his mother and best friends is something every woman looks for in a partner. You immediately feel the chemistry between Bo and Arrow which was palpable from the start despite the hasty words that are shared between them.
Bo never thought he would settle down; relationships were not on his radar. Good sex was the only intention he ever wanted/needed when it came to women until Arrow came around. Sweet, virgin Arrow had no idea what she was getting herself into with Bo, but all she knew was that she has never felt anything like what she feels when she’s with him.
It was beautiful to watch their relationship blossom. Reading about Bo & Arrow finally coming together as one was such a sexy emotional roller coaster ride. I loved that both characters put all of themselves into their relationship, regardless of everything they have been through in the past. Miriam did a great job of representing PTSD, Anxiety, child abuse, and rape culture.
A major CON for me was the grammatical errors. While I can ignore minor mistakes there were multiple mistakes in almost every chapter and I feel as if this could really detour readers from the book.

A billionaire CEO Bo, has his ultimate looking fantasy apply for an assistant position for his best friend. While he normally gets what he wants, Arrow is not playing his game and absolutely hates his guts!
What started out as a great enemies to lovers story, where Bo is accused of raping Arrows best friend, and it went downhill quickly from there from there.
Arrow, while seeming like a strong MC, was very naive, and quick to believe everything Bo says. She gave up years of friendship to believe a man she has only known for days that he wasn't the rapist without speaking to her friend first.
We find out why she lied eventually but this part was VERY rushed and not enough attention was given to it to make it believable.
After years of meaningless sex and not wanting a serious relationship, Bo decided that he 'liked liked her' and they quickly become a couple, after only weeks of knowing each other.
I did like that they made it work as a couple and didn't contently be on again / off again that often happens in these books.
Another thing I did like was the representation of how anxiety affects our thoughts and life. I think talking about mental health, especially in men is such an important topic! I think this book also had a lot of truma that wasn't mentioned. Bo showed signed of PTSD after the childhood he had and it made me heart ache for him.
That said, the book had LOTS of spelling and grammar mistakes which i normally would ignore but it got so excessive that it started to affect my ability to read the book. I think having more people proof read would have helped this.
Lastly if you are going to read this series, ensure you read the first book first! There are so many references to the first book that it often got confusing while reading cause I didn't have any context.
This is such a different take on the billionaire, enemies to lovers trope, and I LOVE it!!!
Bo is the CEO of the company his father passed down to him. He doesn't do relationships, because he has a sex addiction. He has slept with so many women!!!
Arrow is a law student that needs an internship. She needs the money to help pay for her friend Cassidy to go to rehab. When Arrow has an interview at Bo's company to be a Secretary to his Hail, Bo's best friend, Bo instantly wants her.
I read this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down! This was my 1st book by Miriam, and i can't wait to read more from this author! I love Bo and Arrow together, I love the crazy twists. You guys need to read this book!!!!
Such a fantastic spin on some classic tropes! This may have been a billionaire enemies to lovers, but it is so much more! First off, the names are so cute its ridiculous, Bo and Arrow, like, perfect. Bo is a billionaire CEO with a troubled past and Arrow is a justice seeker looking for revenge. Their story evolves so perfectly and the spice is unrivaled. Seriously, if you don't like spice, this may not be your book. BUT IF YOU DO lol. This book has a lot of triggers so be sure to watch out for that. Definitely a great read with a perfect ending!
I absolutely fell in love with Bo and Arrow. This author definitely has a way of pulling you in and making you feel all the emotions of these characters, from the main characters to the secondary! This an enemies to lovers, slow burn. I wasn't pleased with Arrow in the beginning with how she treated Bo, but at the same time I understood to a point. Things did turn around though for the better! I just loved this book so much!!!
4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 🌶🌶🌶 Okaaay - Bo & Arrow is something I will love forever!! Hail and Vi are a force but Bo & Arrow are my fave 🥰 The connection & SPICE 🥵 The 🌶 is enough to make you blush a lot 😂☺️ ALSO…I love that Anxiety was brought up in this book in a true light. 💛 always makes me happy the mental health is also shown in men and not just the ladies. Loved this book - Go read it - Buy it !!!!

This slow burn romance had all the tropes! Enemies to lovers, age gap, billionaire romance and much more. The tension was perfect and I absolutely loved the story of our main characters! Highly recommend!
