An established couple looking for fun, no strings attached. A lawyer who entices them into wanting so much more.
Once isn’t enough…
He met them under the stars and spent a sweat-slicked night in their bed. Then Daryl King saw nothing of Anton Fedorov and Sylvie Roché for an entire year. He’s back now, lawyer to an infamous criminal and forced into close proximity with the couple he hasn’t forgotten. He can’t afford to want them. But he does.
There are rules.
Lovers can come but never stay. Anton and Sylvie have had no issues keeping others at arms’ length. But Dar isn’t just anyone. There are layers to the straight-laced lawyer, carefully hidden behind his pressed khakis and calm demeanor. He’s irresistible, but they try just the same. It’s inevitable that they give in.
But there are rules.
And this trio keeps breaking them. Feelings weren’t part of the deal. Neither was commitment. But faced with the prospect of losing Dar, Anton and Sylvie will have to take a chance… on something MORE.
MORE is an MMF standalone featuring an established couple with an anything goes motto, the khakis-wearing lawyer hiding a kinky side who tempts them to want more than the physical, and enough heat to melt your face off. Also includes familiar faces and an HEA. Please see inside for additional trigger warnings.
A Caribbean transplant, Avril now lives in Stone Mountain, GA., with a tolerant Spousal Equivalent. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who loves reading and school (not so much school anymore). Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing plot points of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother
Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. Spicy love scenes, delicious heroes, and wicked women burn up the pages of Avril’s stories, but there’ll always be a happy ending; Av remains a believer of love in all its forms.
More is the first book I’ve read by Avril Ashton and I loved it. I understand that it’s set in the same world as her Run This Town series but I had no problem at all reading it as a standalone story.
Right off the bat, Dar, Anton and Sylvie threw sparks off of each other and the sizzle between them radiated off of the pages. There were times I thought my ereader might spontaneously combust!
Anton and Sylvie have been in a committed relationship for many years but they enjoy playing with other men and women. They have only one rule and that is no feelings will ever get involved. Of course, I knew that rule would prove to be the source of conflict in the story and it reared its head more than once.
Dar has things from his past and present that he has to deal with. His father is a hard man and never showed Dar any love or affection. The way Dar clicks with Anton and Sylvie makes him long for something permanent with them even though he knows that is breaking the rules they agreed on.
This is one hot AF story with interesting characters and in depth story lines and I really enjoyed reading it.
An advanced copy of this book was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
This story follows Dima’s new lawyer Daryl, and Anton and Sylvie, who we’ve already met in previous books. (I didn’t realize beforehand that this book would feature Sylvie & Anton, but I was all the more pleasantly surprised because both of them always intrigued me.)
The book starts with a bang. Literally. An off the charts threesome bang. Seriously, the steam in this book is out of this world. 🔥🔥🔥
Although I liked the characters and rooted for their HEA, the story arc in general felt a bit lacking somehow. I would’ve loved to delve deeper into the MCs minds, to see them a bit more three dimensional and not just scratch the surface. Especially Anton. The reader doesn’t learn much about what makes him tick, and so I didn’t connect with him as much as I usually do with Avril’s characters. But bonus points for Sylvie. I don’t read MF anymore, because often the female is some clumsy damsel in distress. But Avril created a confident, capable and sexy af woman in Sylvie. I loved Dar and how in the bedroom he turned into a self confident, dirty talking dominant instead of the silent do-gooder. The connection between him and the couple was sizzling and palpable.
As I’ve mentioned above, I wouldn’t have minded a bit more plot outside the triad. The whole book was focused on their coming together (over the span of two years) and very heavy on the steam (which I don’t mind), but it felt a bit repetitive towards the end. F*cking. Denying more. Breaking it off. Repeat.
5 stars for the steamy scenes, 3 stars for the plot. So that makes it a decent 4 star read for me. I recommend this to everyone who’s in the mood for an entertaining and sizzling read!
Sylvie and Anton have the relationship that fits them best. They have been together for years and they bring a third into their bed at times, but they have rules that they follow to protect their relationship. The occasions have been rare that they allow the same third to return to their bed, but at first sight both Sylvie and Anton can’t get enough of Dar. They are hesitant to admit that maybe they need to revisit their rules.
The book is high on intimate times and sex positive as Sylvie, Anton, and Dar are all in with each other. They all feel from the start that they want more, but Sylvie and Anton don’t know how to evolve and protect their relationship and Dar has a lot of insecurities stemming from his childhood.
I would've loved a bit more plot-wise but when you have an undeniable talent like Avril Ashton, you really can't complain.
And HOLY CHEMISTRY!! This trio had it in spades!
I just wish Darryl had a bit more tact in his approach to certain things(the tantrums and running off got to be too much for me) and also wished Anton and Sylvie got over themselves earlier and communicated better with Dar (who was such a high flight risk)
A one-night menage between an established couple and a third becomes more. There is a lot of angst. I liked that the third (Daryl) is quiet and reserved except in the bedroom. I also liked that there was no angst over the pan/bi-sexuality of Daryl. It just is. Kinda nice, that.
This would be more 3.5 stars for me. Soooo ridiculously hot sex scenes! Seriously this girl can write sex!! However the time jumps and Sylvie's and Anton's lack of understanding of Dar's POV despite him being very open, honest and understanding was a bit frustrating at times.
But I liked the characters and the threesone. Desperately makes me want to go back and read more of Dima though!
This book is part of the Run This Town series, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not having read those books. The synopsis is what drew me to this story, my intrigue with working throuples, and I was not disappointed.
Sylvie and Anton are committed to each other and their relationship. A little fun on the side is meant to be just that, fun, but let's not forget about those pesky rules. When they meet a man that challenges those rules, their expectations of themselves and what they think makes their relationship work; will they continue to play by those rules? Or consider that there could be something, someone, so much... more.
I would absolutely love a more in depth, longer story for this sexy threesome. I feel like, having not read the other books in this series, that this book may have been written for fans of said series to give them some more meat on the bones of these two characters (Slyvie and Anton). I liked that Ashton included some of their past in the story, how they met, what they've been through. My favorite line in the book is Sylvie to Anton, referring to Dar... "We can want him, but we can't need him." And that is such an explantionary line within the working threads of their life. Like I stated previously, Dar challenges their rules and expectations, but he also makes them feel things I don't think either of them even thought was possible.
Now, um, the sex in this story is off the fucking chain y'all! Right out of the gate as well, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it. I follow the Author on social media and I've seen her post in the past that she always dreads writing the sex scenes. Well, I'll tell you what, you wouldn't know it from that fantastic first chapter. But that's not all it's about, so don't get me wrong. There's love, longing and legacy to be enjoyed in this story.
Obviously, if you're a fan of the Author and/or series this is a must read. But if you like sexy, sizzling, menage stories, then this should be added to your list.
This book has a great setting, great characters, and decent writing. I don't need much more, it should have been an easy 4 stars, and I barely gave three (because of what I just wrote).
Here is the (full) summary:
There is literally no interaction between Anton, Sylvie and Daryl other than sex scenes (in which they don't talk, and they are very repetitive) and a bit at the end, where they're supposed to already be in love. But when did that happen? There wasn't even a cliché or anything, I honestly can remember only three real conversations between the three of them through the whole book. And it wasn't the most sentimental I've ever seen.
I feel like I've read a book without a soul. The author put everything that she was supposed to in this book, but she forgot the romance, the humanity. And, well, a romance kinda need it...
Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it, I think there's much better out there, you should try something else. Maybe another book from this author, I don't know, it was my first book by her, but maybe it was a mistake, I think she has some talent, this one just... lacked humanity.
Oh, Dar, you sweet little ping pong ball. lol Seriously, the back and forth we go through with this book was like watching a championship game.
Sylvie and Anton are a hot little couple all by themselves. Add Dar and it’s a forest fire of hotness. Honestly, Ashton really does know how to weave a sexy scene. She did not fail us here even a little bit.
This was about the fluffiest story I’ve read by Ashton, even with the angst of these three. Nothing very dark here at all. Mostly, this story focuses on how these three come to together and then break apart over the span of a couple of years. Anton and Sylvie really struggle about adding Dar as a third, mainly because they just don’t know how. I was very invested in all of them working out.
I really, really enjoyed More. Do I wish there had been a little bit less push and pull between Anton, Sylvie and Dar? Yes. But I was so happy with the final outcome that I can appreciate that it was needed to really make them see what they wanted and needed. This was another win from Avril for me.
Sylvie and Anton have been together long enough to know what works for their relationship and what doesn’t— they follow the rules they’ve set for themselves happily enough until they meet Dar, who changes everything. The interplay between the three main characters in this novel is full of emotion and heat— it’s clear that they have intense chemistry and that, while they have to work to figure out how to evolve what Sylvie and Anton already have to be something the three of them can share, there’s a solid basis for them to do so beneath all the push and pull. While the nuances of the relationship are front and center here, a few other things do fade into the background: some aspects of the plot are less clear than they might be, there’s not much focus on who any of these protagonists are or how they’ve changed outside of the ways they interact together. That didn’t bother me as much as it might have, however, as the dynamics between them are compelling enough to make for a rewarding read.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
One raw, powerful night of MMF, leads us to a true romance... a deeply intense sexual relationship that turns out to be MORE. Dar/Daryl, 35, Lawyer, tall, muscled, a fade with brown wavy hair on top, green eyes, tanned and troubled. He's working for Mob boss, Dima. His one night with the couple had him wanting more, but they had rules. Anton, 39, 6'2", longish dark hair, muscled and brooding attitude, has been with Sylvie since they were teens. Sylvie, 40, pale skin, shiny bluish black long hair, is graceful, super sexy and dedicated to Anton, but they are not married.
Dima has an associate in prison who needed help from Dar, and Dar is reunited with Anton and Sylvie. Tension is high. We get lots of erotic, dirty talking, sizzling sexy times, a marathon of pleasures and penetrations.
This is a relationship story, of how their pasts followed them through their lives and affected them today. Dima's business needs plays second fiddle to this tale of three lovers. Once our trio tells their deeply intense tales from their pasts, each understand the others so much better.
Dar wants it all, devotion, dedication and trust, but Anton and Sylvie are afraid to make that leap of unity. This of course irritates Dar greatly, and he keeps trying, because he's in love with them. He wants security, a solid, steady and trusting triad. ENJOY !
I'm not usually one to read menáge stories, but I trusted this author to make me believe in three hearts being perfect for each other. Avril Ashton has given so much background story and character development that I became completely invested in the protagonists' lives and cheered for them to fight for their happiness .
The denial, the showing of one another's weaknesses and finally acceptance of each character's feelings gave this story so much emotional weight. I witnessed a love in the rawest, most passionate state between three amazing people who fitted together like puzzle pieces.
Thoroughly enjoyable, powerfully emotional and very steamy, More is definitely not to be missed.
I have been waiting to read their story for a long time. If you read Dima and X story you would understand what Sylvie and Anton was about. While they enjoyed having a third they never wanted a longterm relationship with them. Dar a lawyer hired by their boss Dima brings Anton and Sylvie face to face with the one person they played with once and was sorry to have left. Even after a year had passed they could not forget Dar. Dar comes with a bit of baggage and only wants to be loved. Anton and Sylvie don't know if they can love anyone else. If you enjoy poly relationships, a bit of drama, lots of steamy times with a HEA then this one's for you.
Sylvie and Anton have been supporting characters from previous books and have always intrigued me. I’m so so glad Ms Ashton gave them their opportunity to shine.
Sylvie and Anton are an established couple who add in the occasional third. But, Dar was the one who left an impression, little did they know the infatuation was both ways.
This is an engaging read, as we see all of the characters struggle to come together. There is scorching passion, a push and pull between them and an inevitable addition of a third to their relationship which leads to happiness. A fantastic, engrossing read which gives you the joy of also getting sneaks of past characters as well.
Anton, Sylvie and Dar’s story consumed me! They’re complex and well developed, they felt realistic! Sylvie and Anton are already a couple, when you add in Dar its scorching! The heat and steam factor in this story was off the charts, but overall, this was a seriously fantastic story. It grabbed me right from the beginning and didn’t let me go. The story was really well written, the pacing flowed smoothly, highly recommend. The story kept me engaged and I literally could not put it down. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My review is solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
I fear i just be putting myself through this atp. I thought this was going to be a good MMF book nope. The push and pull game is irritating. Dar spent like 75% of the book running away from his problems just to come back saying oh i miss you like bro. Then Sylvie x Anton being scared of what may happen if they admit they love Dar okay understandable but my god this could’ve been avoided if yall just communicated. The way i wanted more scenes where they were around each other besides when they were having sex. Speaking of sex, definitely was insta lust i don’t think they loved each other hell all they did when they were together was have sex chile. I’m genuinely over this
If read very little mf romance any more because the female characters are purported to be "strong" women, but really don't seem to have changed much from the romances I read as a teen and they just don't interest me. If this is a sample of those from this author, I'll have to revise that opinion. I loved Sylvie and her relationship with Anton and their growing relationship with Dar was fascinating and hot. I loved seeing the transformation of Dar when with them and the way they negotiated their increasing emotional ties.
When I heard that Avril was writing a book about Anton and Sylvie, I knew I had to jump on this book. They have been featured in previous books, and I loved getting to know them better and seeing their dynamic up close. Dar, the lawyer, falls into bed with the couple for just one night, but it turns into something more.
This was a great read, and if you read Ashton's other books, like poly relationships, a bit of drama, and steamy scenes, then this will be right up your alley. I wish there were more angst, but this was a great read overall.
I was very excited to hear that Sylvie and Anton were getting their own book and I was not disappointed by anything in here. It was great getting to know them better and introducing Dar. I loved everything about them. High heat as any signature Ashton book. There is plenty of that. They burn up the pages. Their relationship is beautiful with a satisfying ending. Avril Ashton is a auto-buy for me. Every time.
A lot of this was sex and the same repetitive drama, was kind of hoping for Aidan to actually do something to spice up the plot. I wanted actual mafia stuff like in the rest of this series I guess. Considering we're following two hired killers, it didn't feel that way. My favourite parts all included Dima. Adore him.
damn I loved these three. my heart ached so bad for my baby Dar. I wanted to smack those two in the head for hurting my baby. are you two fucking mute? seriously. every time Dar asked an important question these two went mute. - do you love me? ........ silence* -are we in a relationship?....... cricket's sound* like WHAT YHE FUCK.
Avril really drew me into this story. This is a MMF romance that has so much sizzle and hotness within the story plot emotions get high you definitely need to read this book to find out how everything plays out no spoilers here i really enjoyed this book. Can't wait for Avril next book.
I was so excited for this book….I knew Avril would do it justice and I was not disappointed at all….There is something about a threesome that’s just🔥…Please give us more throuples … Would love to see a Aiden Kelly story…
Sooo good. I knew it would be. Ms. Ashton never disappoints with her stories. They are all 5 stars in my book. Dar, Anton and Sylvie were, I don't even have words. You will love this throuple.
✨4.25 Stars ✨ Dar literally deserves everything ❤️🌍💫 because he’s so precious and deserves to be loved whole heartedly. That’s it !! Sylvie & Anton we’re cool too 🙂
I love a whychoose MMF and Avril did this one right! I was pulled in from the moment I started the book and I didn’t want it to end. Daryl, Anton, and Sylvie are purely amazing together! The journey was rough but they made it through. Highly recommend! Plus you get a glimpse of some of the old faces from previous books!
