Mycah girl, you did that! What a raw, emotional journey you took us on with this one! My heart broke over and over for Kaniah, and all that she had endured and continued to in her life! All she yearned for was to be wanted, and loved! No one in her life made the time or the effort to give her either of those things! However, she still bloomed with immense talent, a huge heart and fiery spirit! Cartez, found himself in a situation where his temper sat him down for a minute. He was determined to do better for himself. After running into Kaniah again, all things seemed to shift into focus for Cartez! Support and protect HER! Whew, these two really went through it, while Cartez was trying to understand her thinking and behaviors! He was unsure if he could handle it all, but the love they shared was deep! It was almost like I could feel their love, wrapping me tight, as I read the words! Can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this! Great work! 👍👍👍

Great read
Cartez and Kaniah pretty much grew up in the same area but life’s twisted events turned them into seeming enemies. But Cartez was truly a stand up guy that stood on his word and protected those he loved at all cost. Kaniah had to learn the hard way that things are not always hire they seem and sometimes enemies masquerade as friends. But when you listen to your heart sometimes it tells you the truth about what’s real and what isn’t. I loved the way Tez mom and step dad set him up but life after he served his time, their support was unmatched. And every needs a ride or die true friend like Patience. This story had dreams, drama, love, childhood trauma, and more. Great read.

Let her know she had people cheering for her. Cartez was her biggest cheerleader and would go to war for her to protect and defend. Make sure you have some tissue ready as this story pulls at your heart strings and makes you wonder why people can be so heartless yet you have people that would die for you. Make sure you grab your copy as Mycah Edwards never ever disappoints.

The title was interesting- it did not do the story justice. Frenemies implied the characters were once friends and became enemies. In this story, the snake in the grass was never a True Friend. However, a person feeling unloved thrives from perceived affection. It was a good thing when true love finally showed its head for the leading lady.

I enjoyed this story. I felt for Kaniah she had been through a lot so I understood her apprehension with Tez. I also loved how he was patient and for the most part didn’t give up on her. I liked that both of their female friends turned out to be genuine. Twan was a horrible person, glad his story “ended”.

Love and war
Very sweet story! Tez and kaniah had bad blood between them. Kaniah considered him the enemy but really he was her hero. Tez was very protective of kaniah! He literally was ready to go to war for her. I'm glad she found out who her true enemies were. Tez loved her beyond all she had been through and she loved him. They got their happily ever after😍

Great story.
This was a wonderfully written love story. I love how Cartez loved him some Kaniah. No matter how neglected and damaged Kaniah was she was committed to making a better life for her sister. This was such a good story, it had me on an emotional roller coaster. I’m glad they got their HEA.

Tough Read
Whew, this was a hard one. To watch Kania self destruct from her brokenness. This book pulled out so many different emotions from me. I just wanted to leap through the pages and slap Kania into wholeness. Cartez is definitely a real one. He loved her through all of that pain.

I enjoyed it!
Watch Kaniah and Cartez push the boundaries to get what their hearts desired was so satisfying! The author took her time unraveling the characters chapter by chapter! I enjoyed it! Don's wife sister still needs to shoot my girl her one though!!

I loved this book. If you have read any of the nooks NY this author then you know the storyline flowed and all keep your interest. There is definitely room for a sequel. I highly recommend this book!

Great read!!! I am so glad Kaniah trusted Cartez and was able to finally have someone real on her side. Team was trash 🗑 and got what he deserved!!!
