The unimaginable has just happened. Although Nicole thinks she’s just performed a miracle in bringing Melany back from the dead, not everyone agrees it was the best idea considering Melany’s unstable and has the ability to destroy everything around her.
Despite that horrible realization, Nicole is sure that the Dark Angel of Pecunia can be their secret weapon against the human mob. If only they could figure out who’s behind the uprising and why they are hell bent on destroying the temples and the Gods.
Even worse, they discover that it isn’t just the humans they’re up against- this isn’t just an uprising but an act of vengeance for the past.

Elisa S. Amore is the author of the paranormal romance saga Touched. She wrote the first book while working at her parents’ diner, dreaming up the story between one order and the next. She lives in Italy with her husband, her son, and a pug that sleeps all day. She’s wild about pizza and traveling, which is a source of constant inspiration for her. She dreamed up some of the novels’ love scenes while strolling along the canals in Venice and visiting the home of Romeo’s Juliet in romantic Verona. Her all-time favorite writer is Shakespeare, but she also loves Nicholas Sparks. She prefers to do her writing at night, when the rest of the world is asleep and she knows the stars above are keeping her company. She’s now a full-time writer of romance and young adult fiction. In her free time she likes to read, swim, walk in the woods, and daydream. She collects books and animated movies, all jealously guarded under lock and key. Her family has nicknamed her “the bookworm.” After its release, the first book of her saga quickly made its way up the charts, winning over thousands of readers. Touched: The Caress of Fate is her debut novel and the first in the four-book series originally published in Italy by one of the country’s leading publishing houses. The book trailer was shown in Italian movie theaters during the premiere of the film Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2.
I feel so bad for Melany. That would be rough to be drug from a great afterlife back into the land of the living. I hate how the mortals are using Aphrodite’s golden rope to control the demigods and how they have weapons of the gods. I love Hephaestus so much and how he loves Nicole and Melany and how they’ve even gotten him to smile. I feel bad for Hades and I hope that him and Melany can be reunited once again.
Terrorists overtake the famous group of Melany's friends.
I am surprised it took this long to have a terrorist attack on the demigods & gods. As usual though the gods aren't anywhere they can be hurt. It's the demigods that are being shot at. Yes I said shot at! It seems whoever informed the terrorists about the academy did a good job. They know all the powers possible, what type of weapons they use and here's the best part they have weapons from the academy. Cade is quick to jump to the conclusion that it's a god. I'm not so sure. If it is they have help from a student as well. You'll understand when you read it. They send 3 teams to look into vandalism at temples all over & not one particular god either. It strikes me as suspicious that Prometheus is the one to discover that the portals are locked. He was the last to use them. Was he doing it to protect the terrorists from getting access to the academy thus leading the demigods to fend for themselves? Later on when he's needed for a.phone call he's nowhere around. And lastly when Nicole, Melany, & Cassandra need him to figure out how to get to the demigods he can't be found. Yes I skimmed right over Melany, who is dead but in this book. Nicole figures out she is the one who keeps opening up portals to Melany. She decides that because it keeps happening it means they need her help. So she decides to tell Melany that she's dead. She literally dumps that & the fact that her friends are in danger on her all at once. Then tells her if she wants to help she needs to make up her mind fast. Melany, Cassandra, & Nicole have their own mini adventure in this too. However, no one gets shot, looses their wings, etc. in their adventure. The ending is harsh but keep in mind when you have someone like Nicole in your group nothing is permanent. And Hades is about to go searching for Melany.
Nicole has Melany but cant tell anyone. Except Hephestos, who finds them. They have to hide her while she regains her strength. Melany is confused and lost, barely controlling her powers. And all the portals are closed. Meanwhile, Cade and crew are trying to save their friends and get back to the academy. They manage to get to everyone, only to discover one of their own has turned. Things get out of control fast. Now both groups are struggling to figure it all out, without really knowing what to do. And its only going to get worse.
Having Melany and Nicole together is as awesome as i thought it would be. Cant wait for the end!
Nicole brought Melany back from the dead. She’s so sure Melany is the answer to stopping the war with the humans. Cade and his team are stuck in the mortal realm. Some have been taken by the human uprising. Cade and the rest form a plan to rescue them. Nicole and Cassandra and Melany are on their own mission to find out who Mark is. He’s the leader of the uprising. Will everyone be successful if their missions?
Loved this book it gives an initial look at how a series as good as this one starts to tie up loose ends leaving no story line left behind can not wait till next and final book.
The storyline is revving up as it nears the conclusion. Lots of juicy plot twists to resolve. Quite a few noticeable typos and an error in mythology, but overall an excellent read.
Not thrilled with reappearances. The relationships are starting to feel 2 dimensional. Only finishing the next book because I feel obligated to at this point.
This is one of the best magical series I have ever read. Although I hate how we keep getting cliffhangers I will wait for book 12 to find out what happens next. But leaving things here will make that wait unbearable
