This book got me tearing up badly. I gave 3 stars because the first half of the story was just too sad. I still couldn’t get over the fact that she survived in that trash room for that long with no fresh food. I still don’t get why her mum could just abandon her like that and never visited ever. I have 2 daughters myself and I cannot imagine as a mother could do stuff like that.
The second half of the story is encouraging and positive. But I could imagine how broken of a person she is. It did encourage me to enjoy and appreciate what I have now. But I still have this sad feeling of how she’d feel after she realises that her mother abandoned her.
