Reaching the end of Sylfaen 2, so I'm catching up on the Amdani series to this level. I enjoyed this one, being a collection of short stories made it much easier to find time for it. I read the stories aloud, to practice pronunciation and expressive voice, and was very pleased at how rarely I had to stop and really think through the sentence I had just finished. Mix of De and Gog, the Gog was surprisingly hard to get my voice around, as a De learner (I just said "dweud" where the text said "deud", because why worry about it?). Two of the stories I didn't care for, and one I understood the text but not the plot, so it was not for me. But overall a good collection and always encouraging to be able to just read without a dictionary!
