Could Dean Webster’s new beginning end before it has a chance to begin?
Dean thought he had moved on from his wife's death, but he found a new love and life with Eris after skirting danger with her former employers.
There was just one problem: Dean's ex-sister-in-law Bethany, who arrives in town with a vendetta, blaming Dean for his wife’s death. When her acts of revenge become ominous and malignant, Dean discovers she is after something much more.
Can Dean and Eris figure out Bethany's true intentions, while navigating their budding relationship, or will it all come crashing down?

After first part, full of mystery and suspans, in which Eris and Dean are looking for Lilly, this one was not a dissapointment at all! After Jason escaped, they are stressed enough. And the apearance of Dean’s former sister in law, put more pressure on them. This story will change all that Dean think to know about his late wife, about friends (Jason) and family (Bethany). Was interesting to see Eris and Dean relationship evolve further - now that they are a family with Lilly.

This is Book 2 in the After Dusk Series. Multiple POV, dealing with difficult, uncomfortable, highly emotional situations. Strong character development, messy family issues, new relationships leading to murder, a whole lot of anger, lies, frustration, harassment, confusion all while dealing with grief and loss. Mild sexual content. Unexpected revelations lead to the bittersweet truth and ending.

This book was intense. This was filled with danger and action, a sister in law seeking vengeance, so they thought. And so much more. Dean and Eris are slowly coming together after the d3ath of Dean’s wife. But her sister has other plans. This book leaves you on the edge of your seat with the suspense that it has packed in this story. I was so invested in this needing to know what was going to happen.
Allow an afternoon for this confusing, adult, action-packed, friends-to-lovers, contemporary, second-chance, mystery, suspense romance, that is the second in the series, starting six months following AFTER ERIS.

This second book was definitely better than the first. The story made more sense and it held my interest. I felt the connection between Dean and Eris better. I was intrigued and I felt invested in the story. It did a good job on building on the first book. It was definitely worth the read.
This book has an intricate plot. The ending is unexpected! A private eye's wife dies unexpectedly. Her sister thinks he is responsible! How it ends is very good!
