Big Trouble Ahead
I have never read anything by this author before. I will definitely look for more books written by him. He says what he feels and is not sorry for his views, yet he is optimistic. There are lots of problems in our country and world but he believes that we can be the solution if we trust and believe in God. He gives lots of references to what we as a country and world are going through at the present time and what has already come to pass. He also gives lots of scripture references to back up his convictions. Some of this book was unsettling, but at the same time made me want to draw closer to God. One quote, “We pursue holiness by following Jesus’ example and allowing the Holy Spirit to work to transform us from the inside out”, really says it all. Overall, this was a very thought provoking and soul searching book for me. I did enjoy it. I believe if you are questioning and worrying about the future, this would be a great guide to help you move forward and past your fear.

Pastor Allen Jackson, who serves as the senior pastor at World Outreach Church in Nashville, Tennessee, is a prominent voice on TBN. This is the first book I have read by him, and I was impressed. It was more general in nature and covered a lot more ground than I anticipated which was good for the most part. For example, in chapter 5 he gives a summary entitled: "The Story of the Bible From Genesis to Revelation". This book was written coming out of the turbulent and controversial times of COVID-19. He basically thinks that was a wake-up call to the church who has been complacent in many ways leading up to the epidemic. I do not disagree with that sentiment. There is hope as he encourages all of us to do our part as followers of Jesus moving forward. It will probably be tougher in many ways to be a Christian, but that is what we are called to do together as God's family, the Church. He concludes with chapter 12 titled Stand and Be Counted. Be courageous, be ready to lead, be ready to share your story, be ready to stand, be protected, and be ready to persevere even if you are alone. Are you willing to leave a legacy of being faithful?

Pastor Allen Jackson has written a powerful book about the troubles and challenges facing the country and the church. The United States is filled with hostility toward Christianity and toward the biblical foundations of our founding as a country. He understands and clearly defines the ideological and spiritual basis of the big trouble we face. The hard truth is the church has been asleep at the wheel while the forces of darkness have run rampant in our society, our schools and colleges, our health and legal professions, and our government.
But he is not all gloom and doom. This book offers a message of hope for our country and the church. He challenges us with practical, confident, and faith-filled ways for the church to wake up and represent our Lord to the world and save our country.

Big Trouble Ahead by Allen Jackson is a must read for our times. I had been introduced to Allen Jackson by listening to his daily radio program on my way to work each day. He is humorous and engaging. However, it is his no nonsense approach to scripture and Christian walk that pulled me in.
Big Trouble Ahead addresses the troubled times we are living in with hope and certainty that God is in charge and Christ will come again to make all things new. Scripturally sound, practical and you will have trouble putting this book down.

An excellent biblically centered look at the fear and deception that is prevalent in the world today. Pastor Jackson provides solid steps to addressing these challenges through Bible based advice. I enjoyed learning specific ways his church has become part of the community and made a tremendous impact. This is a book I’ll keep on my bookshelf and will read again. I won this book in a GoodReads Giveaway. I plan on buying copies to share with other people.

Greatly needed in our current times. Tribulation is coming. Are we ready to stand firm against, even if we stand alone? That’s the good news about this book. We won’t be alone, even if our fellow believers sit in silence, if we stand against adversity, God will stand with us!
