This is book one of the My Fated Zodiac Harem series and the main character is Dee (Madison) Steel, whose life as a bike delivery rider in NYC is all about just making ends meet and sharing a flat with numerous others. She has no family and was brought up in care, bounced around the system, so has a hard skin now. On a pizza delivery, she gets knocked off her bike by a taxi and another taxi crashes into that one. Her life is about to change forever, as both taxi drivers walk towards her with a blank look on their faces, before ripping apart and being replaced by some weird tentacle, sharp teethed creatures which attack her! She is saved by a mysterious stranger who pulls her car door off and carries her to safety. He is beyond gorgeous and full of muscles, not even seeming to notice he is still carrying her. She asks what the heck that was, and he tells her the creatures are called shoggoths. They are servants of the Great Old Ones, beings that came from the void that he and his fellow stars defeated and imprisoned millennia ago, themselves being stuck in their constellation form ever since. They are trying to kill her and he is there to keep her safe. He tells her his name is Ramsey (Ram) or Aries and he has come from the stars, having sung her story for thousands of years. He has been awoken and come from his constellation as part of a prophecy involving her. He is the first constellation of the Zodiac to awaken and there will be eleven more, each awakening when they are needed. They are super-powered protectors sent to save her and the whole world from the horrors of the void.
She trusts him immediately, even though what he is saying doesn’t really make sense. They start back towards her apartment building, but are attacked by shoggoths again, destroying the lobby area of the building. The second constellation appears, Taurus, who goes by Russ, and helps them, but it is only Ramsey, with his powers of fire, that can kill these creatures. Russ has powers over earth and can knock them away, but not stop them. This is why Ramsey was the first one to be sent to Earth. Russ meets a human man called Cory Parker in a bookshop, as he wonders about getting Dee a gift, knowing Aries is useless at that sort of thing. Parker is part of the House of Ophicuhus, watchers for signs that the stars are awakening and to be prepared to assist them. He takes Russ to the penthouse that has been waiting for the stars, one of five places set up around the world in preparation for their coming. Russ is a single minded being, getting completely stuck on cheese, ignoring pretty much everything else in the world, as he needs to touch and experience everything. He can communicate with Ramsey through his mind and tells him to come and see this penthouse! It is all the way over in Manhattan, so Ramsey tells him to come to him, as he is still trying to keep an eye on Dee, even though she told him to go away. The penthouse is over two floors and apparently the organisation Parker works for, owns the next floor as well. There is one huge bedroom, with a bed that could fit ten or more, plus large walk in closets and a multi headed shower which could fit the same number as the bed! There is an assortment of women’s clothing, all in different sizes and Parker explains that he didn’t know who she would be and what her size was, but now she is there, he will sort out her wardrobe. He was trained as a butler, before being recruited to the House.
Russ is still fascinated by the cheese, but Dee wants to change and have a shower, after all the attacks and running around. She can’t believe how her life has changed, just in the course of one day! Parker pops in and out, seeming to know whenever any of them need him. Ramsey and Russ don’t know much about the modern world, having watched over the world from the stars, but not having any experience of language and everyday norms. Russ crashes out in the living room floor, while Ramsey comes into the bedroom to keep an eye on Dee, offering to sleep on the sofa. Dee asks him to use the bed, since it is enormous and the two of them soon get passionate, with Dee unable to ignore her sudden feelings and attraction to him. The next day she wants to get back to her job, but it isn’t worth it and her bike is back at her flat and she doesn’t have the time. But she doesn’t want to give up on her voluntary work, where she helps to deliver food to the homeless and ends up with her two men accompanying her. Dee really wants her old life, her freedom back, and trying to get what she wants, Ramsey makes a silly decision, not thinking it through fully, nor allowing Russ to accompany him. He ends up in danger and Dee can feel something is wrong. She and Russ hurry over but find Ramsey overwhelmed and struggle to free him. There is a human on a raised area of the church, who seems in control of all the other shoggoths. He gets away, as they try to save Ramsey and their third star awakens, Gemini, known as Gem, who has a very peculiar power! They go back to the penthouse, to introduce Gem to his new home and to Parker and his boss, Gideon Dalton, the Commander of all the watchers of North America. Being stuck in the penthouse isn’t something she is used to, she is always out, either working or volunteering, and goes for a walk to get some fresh air. Stupidly, she insists on going alone and ends up on the tube, where she is faced by a shoggoths and the man from the church. She has placed herself in danger from the very beings her men were trying to keep her safe from, and there is no way they will be able to find her in time!
A complete cliff hanger of an ending, just as I was really getting into it. A fantastic piece of supernatural imaging, with star constellations awaking and acting as powerful protectors for someone the prophecy has shown them. The stars awake in human bodies, really handsome ad sexy ones, who can also shift into their Zodiac animal representation and have lots of different powers. Dee is also not quite what she seems, but Ramsey hasn’t told her what she is, as she is already dealing with a lot of new and outlandish information being piled upon her and being attacked by strange creatures. The stars were locked away as well, to ensure the Great Old Ones stayed imprisoned for as long as possible. They are awaking, one by one, arriving when needed and in order! A really unique idea and although there are twelve books in the series, the first one had three of the stars awaken, so it isn’t like some serials where only one character is revealed in each one. I liked that! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and I would recommend this book to those wanting a bit of something different and a bit unusual. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above. I just wish I had gotten round to it much sooner!

This is just one of those ones that you know is going to end with the FMC doing something stupid. Madison is sassy and a damsel in distress that knows she is. It reads loud with the bad guy drama and Dee's problems. The gate crashing rescue was messy and then of course there was the meltdown and run into danger cliffhanger.
The guys are interesting. A build on harem where they're new. Each one is waking up and finding a new world. The names are easy to remember who's who. Insta-love all round since they're made for her. From the get go there's miscommunication issues and secrets being kept. Ramsey was pushy and should've listened. Russ is a sweetheart obsessed with cheese and new things. Gem needs a hug. Gonna read the next one purely for the guys.

Omg I'm in ❤❤❤!!!
This is a new series and new author for me, and i was blown away with this story!! It was sooooooo original and enthralling!! I couldn't put it down for a second!!
So this is the 1st in a 12 book series, cause there is 12 constellations! And i am very happy that Ophiuchus wasnt excluded - they aren't part of the constellations but more like the humans set up to watch for the 12 come back generation after generation.
Madison is just a normal NYC girl trying to work to pay rent until one day when not one but 2 different taxis try to run her over on her bike. Not only that, but then they kidnap her. Until an insanely gorgeous guy stops the speeding taxi with his bare hands. Come to find out, he is Ramsey, aka Aries, and he tells Madison that he and his brothers have been looking for her. Of course she thinks he's insane, until these random people start hunting her... except people don't normal explode out of their skin into tentacled monster's, do they??
We also get introduced to Russ, aka Taurus, and Gem...aka (you guessed it!) Gemini. This story is definitely a one of a kind and i can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!

Madison Steele is no damsel in distress...until she is. Kidnapped by two dead-eyed cab drivers, her life changes when the hottest man she has ever seen rips his way to her. Finding out that there are evil void creatures after her from now on, no thank you. Finding out that there are twelve uber yummy men destined to protect and love her, well that softens the blow a bit. Ramsey or Aries and Russ Taurus are the first to awaken, the first to fall in love with her. How will Dee navigate her new life and feelings for these men, did she mention that there will be twelve? Read this to find out. I found myself staying up far too late reading this- I just had to know what would happen next. I wish I could give this thirteen stars, one for each constellation and one for Dee of her very own. This hot and fast-paced read does not disappoint. .

Well, there's a first for everything - I dnf'd during a sex scene.
I'd been struggling with this for a while and finally decided to stop torturing myself. The behavior of the FMC is just completely unrealistic and oddly off-putting. The men's actions and language at least have a reason, however annoying they may be. It felt like the character and the setting were a poor fit. Case in point, the aforementioned sex scene. What the actual fuck. Virgin. New Yorker. Okay, not impossible, but it was a weird amalgamation of a bodice-ripper, interspersed with utterances of "fuck" by our FMC.
Nah. No thank you.
No rating. There's nothing technically wrong with the book. My issues are only a matter of preference. Unfortunately there's not enough "meat" to the story between the nonsense to entice me to hold out to the end.

What a fantastic start to this new series and I can’t wait to read more, I’ve never read a story like this before and believe me when I say that I’ve read lots and lots of books. This story is about Madison a normal girl who works as a delivery bike rider to pay her bill, Madison is nearly run over by taxis and when that doesn’t happen she is kidnapped but a sexy man Ramsey (Aries) who saves her he is a constellation of the Zodiac and he and his brothers have been looking for her. Ursula Fleet is a new author to me and I’m excited to read more of her series, I loved this story and the characters and I definitely recommend this book.

Madison Steel is a hard nose NYC bike delivery person. She doesn’t need, nor want, help from anyone - until some creepy taxi drivers kidnap her and her hero literally smashes the taxi apart to rescue her. Ramsey, aka Aries, is the first of the constellations to awaken to come to Madison’s side, followed quickly by Russ, or Taurus. There’s a battle for the universe beginning and evidently Madison is the key. The twelve zodiacs will all arrive as needed to aid her. The out of their element moments with the men are amusing and Madison’s slow learning to trust is nice. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Disappointing
Aries! just really, I don't see "War" going into a situation like that with both eyes wide open and zero plans, there are too many TSTL actions in this book. I even pushed myself to 78% skipping till I gave up. The lead has no clue what she's doing except for being stubborn and swearing, why the need to "love" him when you thought he was a stalker 4 hours ago. The justification for the smut was ridiculous no one is shaming, we all know what we are in for with this genre. The smut itself was cold, if you start writing a shopping list in the middle of all that, yes author you've killed the scene. If a character is having internal dialogue it shouldn't read like a conversation with someone else.

book 1 in this new series was filled with laughter, smut, danger and maybe love. This is book 1 of 12 based on the Zodiac which I think is a cool idea. I cannot wait to see what the next 11 books bring!

Crash Course is the start to My Fated Zodiac Harem. Just by the series title alone we are promised a larger RH. Right away I felt a connection with Madison with how the story is written. There is enough intrigue that kept the pages turning and me reading. I am eagerly awaiting the other books in the series.

Well done
While the FMC is somewhat stupid and annoying, the men and the storyline are great. The author did a good job so far on the zodiac trait, although Gemini, so far, is not well written. I hope he gets better.
