Mila Dash isn't weak in the least. However, the minute she is graced with Spade Graham's presence, she realizes her weakness is far greater than she is able to resist.
One intimate moment turns into much more.
Grim is accustomed to having things his way at all times. What happens when his walls come tumbling down, and he's faced with following someone else's rules?
Will risking it all be the best thing these two have ever done? Or will risking it all leave them broken.
Mila is a professor and Grim is a street guy that decides to go back to school and finish his degree...close to completing he ends up in the a class taught by Professor Mila and he remembers her from a few years ago. They both were in a wedding the groom is his cousin and the bride is one of her best friends....there's a vibe immediately...BUT, Mila is in a relationship....Needless to say when the two reconnect in Mila's class the vibe is still present...however, there's a no dating policy in place for professors and students....
I don't know why I waited so long to read this. But, I'm glad I finally did. Grim was just...for lack of a better word...grim. The man had money, power, love of his family, respect of his peers, an education, and now, the love of his life. The way he commanded a room was sexy af. Then there's Mila. A little broken with some trust issues because of her past. But nonetheless, she was still a bad biťch. But the way Grim went after her, his patience and how he's not afraid to call her out on her bs...loved it. Her friends are the real ones. They rooted for her, they pushed her, talked sense into her and called her out. Real ones. Then there's Sully. Sully, Sully, Sully. What can I say about Sully? But, I smiled a lot reading this. The love was loud. Enough angst to kinda make me not wanna put the book down, but not so much to keep me on the edge of my seat. Although I'm late to the party, I definitely recommend this book. So if you haven't, definitely pick this one up. It's definitely a M. Monique classic.
Sneakin’ and Freakin’ with My Professor is, by far, my fave in this series. I loved me some Mila and Grim. The way he unabashedly pursued her had me grinnin’ all through this book. Mila tried to come up with every excuse for them not to be together but, Grim would not be deterred. His patience was commendable because, at times, she worked my nerves and his. Grim is the epitome of an alpha male so, begging is nowhere in his repertoire. But, for her, he was damn near willing to do it. Even her besties had to sit Mila down and tell her how ridiculous she was being. Shout out to Kai and Lucy. Real friends tell the truth. When she finally realized her insecurities and unnecessary fear was about to make her miss her blessing, Mila got it together real quick. I figured out who the “snitch” was pretty quickly. That dude was giving me creep vibes from the beginning. I'm truly sad the Sneakin’ and Freakin’ series has come to an end. I did not expect to like these books as much as I did and I would recommend all of them. This is definitely a series you want to add to your TBR.
Sneaking and Freaking with my Professor” is by far the best addition to the “Sneaking and Freaking” series. We can fight about this if you disagree. M. Monique took the forbidden college student/professor trope, added the urban razzle dazzle and took the story to the next level. Imagine showing up to class to find out that the woman who captured your heart the first moment you laid eyes on her is your professor? How would you handle that? Spade aka Grim handled it well if you ask me. When I tell you that Grim is now a member of my “Compassionate gangsta ” Harem, please believe it. The way he pursued Mila had me smiling all though this story. I legit swooned every time I got to his POV. Mila’s indecisiveness started to become irritating. I kept screaming “Girl, you know you want that man”, but on the other hand, I understood her hesitancy due to the importance of her career. We can’t lose a good thing because of demon dick. To be honest, I know for a fact if Grim stepped to me, I would’ve folded like a burrito. When Mila finally gave into Grim, baby I loved everything about them. I need a Grim in my life!! I mean top tier dick, successful, grillz on the lower teeth and he spoils his woman? Where the sign up sheet? Okay so ranting aside, I am amazed by the authors ability to write never ending stories because the main characters feel like family. I was so The engaged and entertained that I could’ve read 200 more pages without any complaints. I did feel like the storyline with the ex wasn’t fully resolved. We got all the build up leading to him finally finding her and it was a complete let down. Also, the situation with the snitch just felt rushed and not fleshed out. Thankfully, my issues with the storyline and plot didn’t take away from me enjoying the story. Overall, I definitely recommend reading this book, my baby Grim definitely stole the show in my eyes and I think you will enjoy it.
Grim = Pressureeee, these stars are purely for him.
Mila tried tf outta me. She stayed running from Grim, not answering his calls when she was in need. She was scared of everything except—never mind.
Mila stressseddd me, meanwhile Grim was loving, open, and patient with her. There was a lot at stake so I understand why Mila was so cautious about getting involved with Grim. She really tried her hardest to resist Grim even though she was goner (Nose WIDE open) from the moment they locked eyes.
I felt bad from Grim because he was laying it all on the line with Mila, but she just wasn’t ready to match his energy & to be all in with him. I’m glad that he reclaimed his time because you shouldn’t have to force relationships/love.
Bottom Line, I recommend this book—the sex was sexing & Grim is THAT ninja.
Another fiery read. This sneaky link will have you on the edge of your seat causing you to scratch your head at Mila's indecisiveness. I mean, Grim Spade Graham...who passes up the opportunity to be connected to a sexy successful alpha male former gangster who exudes and personifies BDE to the max. That was crazy about Sullivan and Mila's ex is pathetic. This author needs to give a masterclass on crafting book baes because baybee Grim was all that and more. So now it's Grim and Grey for me. Let me prepare myself for this author's next release. While there were minor errors it did not take away from the author's usual magic. This will be added to my collection.
Poor Mila didn’t stand a chance against Grim! That name Grim, was enough to have her running for the hills, and honey that is what she TRIED to do! But he was not having it! What Grim wants, Grim gets! What he wanted was Miss Mila Dash! The persistence of that man, whew….. He was going to wear her down if it was the last thing he did! Mila! I understood her hesitancy with taking it there with Grim, but girl come on now! He was showing you at every turn, what kind of man he was, and what he wanted to be for you! The rest the two of you could figure out. She started to get on my nerves for a minute, and I thought she didn’t deserve him! 😡 She got herself together right quick! That twist with Sullivan at the end, threw me like, what the hell? I loved Mila’s friends and how loyal they were to her. Hope we get those stories sometime in the future! Good read! 👍👍👍
The title alone had me so intrigued and this one did not disappoint. Mila and Grim were too cute, I liked how Grim didn’t hold back- he was in love at first sight. I was curious on how the story would tie together and I did not see the ending turning out the way that it did. Very entertaining book.
These two we’re something else, but Grim is the new #bookbae. I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did but I started it just before bed and was still reading at 5am - so much for being coherent at work! This story was too good!
Grim was nothing to play with and was determined to love Mila anyway he could from day one. I appreciated his stride and persistence. He even gave her some act right! Loved this one!
What a surprise! I truly enjoyed everything about this book. There’s romance, hood, and good times! Brim is my new book bae! If you pick this up and you love a good urban romance situation!
Hunny, it’s definitely Grim and Mila for me! Mila tried to fight it as long as she could, but ultimately she lost. Grim was persistent and won the race!! I love that she finally stopped fighting it and let it happen. Great read, M. Monique you did it again!!🥰🥰
I had a great time reading this. Mila and Grim's ride was entertaining and sweet. I love them! M Monique is going to always make sure the man stands up for and protects his woman and I love that about her writing!
I will preface this review by saying - Something just isn’t for everyone. But when it’s all said & done - Grim annoyed the heck outta me, to be all about actions and not caring too much for words, his actions didn’t really prove nor show why Mila should have given him unquestioned trust; like let’s be real here they met once, then again a couple years later and then had ONE weekend with each other, like common here - also insta love is annoying - bc where is the depth and believability. But anyways - I was annoyed at the fact that he refused to actually listen and consider her concerns - he claimed to be a patient man for her but was ready to give her an ultimatum every other sentence 🙄. He needed a chill pill amongst other things. But I’m regards to the structure of the book it was sometimes hard keeping up with the flow bc one minute they’re talking to someone & then the next is a flashback or forward, that had me like wait a minute, how did we get here - so that through me off a bit. But it was ok, Grimm was just very annoying AND so was Mila when she wanted to act like all he wanted was sex from her when he did make it clear that he wanted more, so she annoyed me with that little move 🙄. Yeah this just wasn’t for me
Queen M Monique has done it again! This beauty never cease to amaze me with her pen game. Her ability to have us so invested in her characters and in love with her book BAE its remarkable. Amir wasn't sugar honey ice tea, straight up bih made. The audacity to be an ain't sh*t ninja, then cheat, get dumped and become a stalker🤔🙄. Narcissist! He deserved that beat down😂😂😂 Professor Stanley's a** was a sick motherfudgesicklestix😔 GRIM IS BAE ALL DAY😍😜! That man right there was stop manly, yet he never shied away from being vulnerable when it came to Mila. That man say he waited 3 years and he wasn't satisfying anymore time. He loved Mila with every ounce of his being and that sh*t was so sexy and beautiful💕. This right here: “The answer is just as simple as I’ve already supplied, Mila. Is it so hard to understand that I want, or better yet crave, you. You’re sittin’ across from a man that’s been around, seen a lot of beautiful women. Shit like that doesn’t excite me. What excites me is a woman’s walk, her confidence, her ability to command my attention, her ability to make me wanna do things I’ve never done before. This woman inhales and exhales every particle of my being. She’s intelligent, strong-willed, and dangerous as fu** when it comes to one simple look from her beautiful a** eyes. I never met that woman, until you.” I was so in love after that😂. That fu**/love making sessions were🔥, but that office scene💦💦💦 I WOULD, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE A WEDDING/BABY UPDATE🙏🏽🙏🏽👀👀👀 IT'S A MUST READ FOR ME!!!
Good short read! Few things I did roll my eyes at though….I loved that Mila had the support of her friends but I didn’t like that they called her selfish because she wanted to work her dream job and not pursue love. Okkk how is that SELFISH being a Professor then Dean is no easy feat! Especially for a black female! Grim only had to wait 3 weeks. 3 weeks! So they could be together and not sneak around as student/teacher. I thought her friends were wrong to say that and pressure her to pursue the relationship telling her she can just have a man take care of her. I could not sacrifice what I love to be in love. I’d find a way to have both.
Grim all his talk about loving her wanted to say F it because she didn’t talk to him first when the school put her on administrative leave to investigate the possibility that she is fraternizing with a student. Why oh why would any one go to the person that is suspected to be in a relationship with you? Make it make sense!! Gotta cool it until the investigation is over. Mila just wanted to speak to her parents who were also in the same profession and in need of some headspace because everything she worked hard for is about to go in the trash.
Grim…Grim… Grim… I felt if I kept repeating his name, I could get my words to flow 😂. This man here was something serious. I never doubt M. Monique, but sis should’ve given me a heads up… a little bit! I was aware this book would be sexy due to the title but my bae Grim came to be an overachiever and I was here for it! Now that I’m done singing Spade “Grim” Graham’s praises I must admit that I was not a fan of Mila. I did however understand her as a woman and the trials she faced but after a while I was like sisss😒. M. Monique creates characters that you find yourself rooting for even if you aren’t 100% for them and that’s what I loved about this book. All the characters held a key component to this story (even the side characters) giving me a much more entertaining read. I finished this book and instantly wanted more. Grim and Mila’s HEA had a rough beginning, but I felt it was needed to guide their relationship. However, after that birthday weekend I would have just followed his lead because clearly Grim can make big thing happen😝 I never know what’s up M. Monique’s sleeve, but I always know it will be something spectacular, so I’ll patiently wait for the next 5⭐️ read!
For the most part I enjoyed this story. Mostly for Grim. He was definitely book boyfriend goals. I need to know where the real man like him at. Mila annoyed me. I'm so tired of the trope where women finally meet a good sometimes even great man after dealing with trash for so long that they do too much to ruin it. Like sis, get out your head and let this man love you. Good men aren't easy to come by. You doing too much. Get it together. I'm glad Grim put up boundaries and told her he wasn't going to play games with her. Either she was in or she wasn't. Not to mention not telling him or her parents that her ex was stalking her. Girl....what. Stalking is serious and often turns dangerous. Why wouldn't you tell anybody about that?? Thankfully she finally got her shit together in the end but she still isn't a fav female character of mine at all. Grim made this story great. Sign me up for the Spade Grim Graham stan club.
Ms. M be coming out hot with the best sellers and all the Baes. Loved me some Grim♥️♥️. He was straight and to the point. Saw what he liked and wanted and made it known. Now Mila🤦🏽♀️. What can I say about her? Sis, needed a good two-piece to get her right🤦🏽♀️😒. That’s it🤣🤣. Grim should be given an award for the most patient man on earth🥇🏆…his name should have been Job🤣🤣 (man in the Bible who went through some stuff for those in the back that don’t know😉😩)…because he stuck it out and came through with the prize in the end🙄. Don’t get me wrong, this book, like every M Monique book was 🔥🔥. I would, and am, recommending it to everyone to read. I just had to vent a little about Mila😜. I’m glad they got their HEA🤸🏾🤸🏾🥳🥳👏🏽👏🏽. Loved the bffs. They all rocked. I can’t wait for the next one. Bring it MM. Please and thanks🙏🏽😉♥️
Man these were something different.. it was all in the way there love is. The way Grim knew how to make her uncomfortable but also in the way that she loved so much. It took her some time but she got it together. She already knew he was the one for her when she went to spend the weekend with him. I just think she needed to get out of her own way. Even though I was like Mila honey get your man i understood where she was coming from. The love he expressed for her in one weekend made leaving him hard but something she needed to do. She needed to trust him on her terms but I like that and Grim did not pressure her in a bad way if that makes sense. Really good story!!!!
This was a fun and sexy read. The language and dialogue in urban fiction will probably always be my favorite part of reading in this genre. As much as I love praise, there is just something about “keep playin’ wit me,” or “I’ma eff yo a up” that hits entirely freaking different. Grim is a man, a mood, and vibe. And I’m so happy this was duel POV and I definitely loved his perspective the most. While I didn’t agree with a lot of the relationship logic the rest I absolutely loved.
Loved Grim energy. That man went after what he wanted. Mila was getting on last nerve though. She complained about being lonely and wanting a good man and blah blah but when it was in her face she was speaking a different tune. Like I get part of the reason but Grim was persistent and he stood on business. He was showing her he wanted her. She eventually go it together tho. She started to grow on me once she got some damn sense. But babyyyy that plot twist I ain’t expect. Im lowkey mad it took me this long to get into this author catalog. Good read.
This one was definitely giving spicy, messy, and dramatic—which I don’t mind—but I found myself wanting just a bit more depth. The chemistry was there, no doubt, but some parts felt rushed or underdeveloped. I needed a little more insight into the characters beyond the steam. 👀
That said, it was still a fun, fast-paced read, and sometimes that’s exactly the vibe you’re looking for. I wouldn’t say no to reading more by M. Monique, just hoping for a little more plot to balance out the heat next time!
I, so enjoyed reading this book. Grim, was a fool, and bold as hell. I loved how he first stepped to Mila, and letting her know how beautiful she was. Amir was a jack leg. How you couldn't support your lady ,but wanted her to be there for him. Sullivan, was a real pervert. How are you blaming, Mila for a job that she evidently, was more qualified for is the reason she received the job.
I love HIM, everything Grim!! This author just keeps creating fictitious characters that make me feel like I'm cheating on my husband. I absolutely can't imagine being crazy over anyone but Grey, then Blu and now Grim. Oh and let's not forget the blue eyed pale brothers from Louisiana, can't think of names. This story was good all the way through, he knew he loved her from day one and he put in the work because the chemistry was there.
Sneaking with ya professor is a big thang but when u as fine and consistent as Grim who cares…Grim honestly needed no time with Mila; he knew he was in love and he said it from jump. I could see if the student was underage but Grim was older than her it’s plenty of folks who date at the work place. The weekend they had together was very spicy and I knew from jump he had her in the bag 🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Grim had a mouth piece on him. He was so smooth and so sweet with that savage in him! Mila took some time to give in but once she did she was a goner. I absolutely loved how Grim was never nonchalant and always swoony to her! He always gave show you better than I could tell you!
I would definitely recommend however there were some spelling and grammatical errors! 💖
4⭐️ Such a great story by the author as always. I loved that the FMC was the professor as opposed to the usual story line of the mmc having the upper hand. I also loved that they were both grown adults and had prior history. Loved Mila and Grim as characters and Grim knew what he wanted Mila from day one, I just wish he was a bit more understanding as to why Mila was being hesitant. Overall, loved the story but I feel like the ending was quite rushed and random.
The sneakin and freakin was worth all the chances they were taking. I loved how Grim loved Mila and how she returned the love. I always enjoy M Monique’s different interesting story lines and he she approaches other serious issues. Wa to go ma’am. Excellent read as always.
How does M. Monique create these book baes that just leave you swooning and fanning yourself on every page. Grim will be on the lips of everyone who reads this book!! I loved Mila and Grim! I understood her apprehension but baby, Grim was making it clear his intention from the beginning. I just really enjoyed this book and as usual M. Monique slays!!
