Fabulous continuation of the next gen McRaes!!
First of all YAY for getting three for one price!! And yes, this review is initially for the Audible version but I do have the Kindle AND shelf trophies as well.
Frank (Fergus) Ryan is one of my favorite narrators and I was so excited to see that he was again narrating this series of Jolie Vines Audible books. His rich brogue draws you in and makes you feel everything he says. This series dives into the next generation of McRaes and I'm here for it.
Obsessed begins this series and tells of Cait (Ally's daughter from Oh Baby - Book 5 in the Marry the Scot series) and Lochie - a single dad on the run. Of course, Gordain (my favorite Scot) makes an appearance as well and being the protector he is, ensures Lochie is "protected". Cait is still just a beautiful as she was as a baby, captivating everyone she meets. With a dad like Ally, it's not a surprise. However, she attracts the wrong type of person and must deal with a stalker. Not only that, Cait has always been a little distant so we get to watch her blossom as her relationship with Lochie grows. Lochie comes with his own set of problems as he attempts to protect his young daughter from any trouble that may come their way due to who her mother is and the circumstances of her birth.
Hunted is the next in this set and follows the story of Cameron (Wasp's son - Wasp being Ally's twin) and Elise. Cameron has had a crush on Elise, a Hollywood film star, for a long time and when something awful happens to her on the set of an upcoming film, she flees to the Highlands of Scotland and lands on the McRae estate due to her friendship with Leo (Viola's husband - read their story in Fallen Snow). Elise does not trust anyone and for good reason. Cameron is overcoming a grave injury but is just a steady and sure as Elise needs so she can learn to trust again. Poor Elise - the hits just keep coming and she does not know who in her circle is true. Cameron's (almost) quiescence is exactly what she needs. He is quiet, like his father, and just as steady. This was an incredible book and I was happy to have the third in the series immediately on hand.
Stolen is the third book in this set and oh how I hurt for the second set of twins, Max and Maddock. This book centers around Maddock and Rory, Elise's friend. Oh the sadness this book invokes as we get up close and personal with the rift between Max and Maddock, Ally's twins. Seeing how close Ally and Wasp were growing up and everything they did for each other, it is hard to see this rift. It centers around misunderstandings but the continued perceived betrayal drives this wedge between brothers even deeper. Rory was friends with Max, whom she met while visiting with Elise and they became fast friends. She returns to Scotland to meet up with Max again and runs into Maddock, thinking he is Max (she didn't know Max had a twin). There is an instant connection but Max sees them together and his sense of betrayal is compounded exponentially due to something very similar occurring a couple of years earlier. But the push and pull between Maddock and Rory cannot be denied and Vines, again, masterfully crafts her story and doesn't let go.

Fell in love with these characters and would like to see more of their story. I’d like to see if Cait gets pregnant and how they all develop!

Awww I love Cameron! Poor Ellie between her dumb ex and her mother’s controlling her she really had no one (except Rory). Ellie meets Cameron when she is hiding out on the McRae estate. Their adventure begins there and takes them back to the US. We follow along as Ellie is escaping everyone that is after her and fall in love in the process!

Agggh! This started off rough for me because I loved Max and could see Rory and him together so imagine my heart when she kisses Maddock by mistake. That’s where this story begins and Jolie makes me like Rory and Maddock together and the love they both have for Max. Rory has had a difficult life and deserved some happiness. Excellent series
All 3 of Wild mountain Scots brought something different, from Lochie and Cait, Lochgelly hiding to protect his Daughter a stalker for Cait, to Cameron and Elise, his recovering and feeling lost, Elise escaping a stalker , just needing a Break. To one of Caits brothers The first twin in the series is Maddock and Elises sister Rory. Both afraid of commitment and feeling trapped either way. This story partially repaired Maddock and Max's long term fued and a kidnapped Rory finally realising what she was scared to admit that she was in love with Maddox. All great read, all deserved HEA. Now onto read Our other Favourite twin in Betrayed which is Max's story.

I listened to all three of these on audiable. The narrators did a FANTASTIC job as always ❤️🔥 always swoon worthy renditions.
Locke and Kate’s story will always be my favorite ❤️ but Maddox and Rory is one full of twists, turns, passion, and suspense! A million dollar secret 🤐 with a scary hunter in waiting.
All HEAs and each girl ends up with their meant to be. Locke, Cameron, and Maddox all have their hands full with these three ladies. ❤️❤️

absolutely obsessed!
These three books have me more hooked than I could’ve thought possible. I’d read the first one before even knowing of the box set and was completely enamored. Now after reading the rest I can’t stop until I know what happens next!!!

Book 1 - Obsessed

Obsessed, that's the perfect word to describe my feelings for this book.

No, I couldn't just write this one sentence for this book 😉 But honestly, this one word is so perfect.
This book has everything. It has a wonderful, protective, hot mountain single dad man. With a cute little daughter. It has a lot of action and surprises. And a wonderful heartwarming cute heroine who thinks she is a$exuel.
Lochinvar is on the run. I can't say why, but he and his daughter have to hide. What better place to do that than in the mountains? 😁 But that's not the only thing that causes the action in this book. Cait has a stalker. Sure, she doesn't know who it is and she thinks it's not that bad... But it is. That's what I can say. There are a few candidates, because we all know (at least from all the books we read) how men can react when they don't get what they want. And as I already said, Cait thinks she is a$exuel, and so she doesn't want any man in her life... Except for her family. Oh, and I loved the scene when Lochie asked Cait to help him with her family members 🤣 This is the third series and every series has a couple and all the couples have children or are pregnant... And yes nearly everyone appears in this book. I love that so much. This huge family cohesion 🥰 I love it so much when we readers can see all our friends for a looooong time and don't have to say goodbye after a few books.
I'm now so excited for the next book. I already had my idea about who could be next and when I read the epilog I knew I was right 🤩

Again I'm speechless. Another book by Jolie I'm obsessed with. Or in this case, that will haunt me for a long long time 😎
OK, what do we get here?
A very protective MMC who still thinks about his childhood crush, a movie star, and an FMC in danger because she is hunted and blackmailed by a fan.
Yes, Elise is Cameron's movie star. And she is a friend of Leo (one of his cousins-in-law).
After what happened in the last book, Cameron is still not 100% fit for his work and very frustrated. He is a hero who can't do his rescue and protective work. A dangerous combination. And that goes hand in hand with problems...
This book is so full of action. WOW. It starts with Cameron nearly running over Elise with his car because she jumped in front of him...
Do you think it's a good thing to meet your celebrity childhood crush? Or do you think you will see that this person isn't like you thought they is? Elise looks like she is a brat. A "princess" she played. Just an arrogant actress.
But I don't tell too much when I say, that's not how she really is. I already said, she has a blackmailer and is hiding in the highlands. And she is sooo afraid. Even of Cameron. He is a man after all...
God, I said, I'm speechless, but I can't stop writing 🤣🙈
So if you like books with lots and lots of action. Hiding from blackmailers, paparazzi, car chases, and and and... But still a spicy romance with sooo much love 🩷 Then you will love this book. But please check TW, because Elise's history isn't an easy one.
Oh, and it was very exciting to guess who the blackmailer could be. There are soooo many culprits 🙈

It's so hard to say how much I love Jolie's books without saying it every single time the same way 🙈 But it's how it is. I really love the books and the hot Scots 🥵
During book one it was already clear that something bad had happened between Maddock and his twin brother Max. I'm no blurb reader, so I only knew what was written in the books, but after book 2 even I knew it. As I said, it's written in the blurb, so it's no secret that Maddock had $ex with Max's ex-girlfriend. I won't say how it came to it... 😉 But for Max, it looks like it was happening again with Rory. Even though Rory and Max never dated...
All this isn't easy for Maddock. He is a McRae, so family is the most important thing in his life. I love that so much.
But this book isn't only about the problem between Maddock and Max... It has again a lot of action in it because Rory is a millionaire. At least there is one million dollars in her bank account.
The money isn't the only "other" thing in the story, too. There is sooo much more. So, this book is FAR AWAY from being boring. It's definitely a page-turner.
Do I wish I could be Rory and have such a hot Scot by my side? HeII YES! He is very filthy and they have a lot of fun, rarely in a bedroom 🙈
Now I'm so excited to read Max's story. I need to know more about him and his ex-girlfriend!
