This is book one of the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series and the main characters are Harper and Storm. Harper has finally returned to the small town of Stony River in Alaska where she was raised, in the hope of seeing her older sister Hailey and her two daughters, her nieces. She hadn’t been in touch with her for years and had never returned, once she fled at seventeen with her boyfriend, after suffering years of psychological abuse from her father. Now he is dead and buried, she finally feels able to come and visit her remaining family. She has rented a small cabin and looks for somewhere quiet to get a drink of coffee and something to eat. She wants to avoid the busy touristy restaurants, and plums for a café, and takes a seat looking out onto the docks. Her server turns out to be Storm, who is pulled towards her and can’t wait to hopefully see her again, even though he doesn’t know if she is staying in town long term or not. He even makes mention of her to his brothers, Cameron and Phoenix later on. Storm lost his wife to cancer some two years ago and has been left as a single dad to his four year old son Max. Hailey is actually a friend of theirs and Max enjoys playing with her daughters, Laura (5) and Jane (7).
Harper ends up back at the café, after worrying far too much on what she should wear, obviously thinking of Storm as well as he is of her, and Storm offers to show her the whole town. It ends with the inevitable steamy romp in her cabin, before she calls her best friend May to give her all the gossip about her trip so far. Her friend is worried she is moving a bit too fast on the romance side and makes her begin to question what she should do. If she stays, she could become an instant mother to young Max, and if their relationship falters, it will hurt more than just her and Storm. Stony River doesn’t seem as bad as when she was young, but can she really give up her dreams and future in the city, to live in a small town in Alaska and be a mother to a young boy she hasn’t even been introduced to by his father? Thoughts of fleeing seem much easier, but thankfully Storm comes looking for her before she can leave without a word. They decide to take things slowly and see where their relationship is going, before she is introduced as his special friend to Max. Luckily her childhood in the area gave her lots of experience in the fun a kid can have in the town and soon bonds her to Max. A great short romance to read in your break time, with a touch of steam and small town expectations and life. A good start to the series and I look forward to reading about the other brothers shortly. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Harper has returned to her hometown to see her older sister Hailey and her two nieces. When she stopped at a cafe before going on to see her sister. Strom runs the cafe and is a single father. When he sees Harper, he knows that she's the one for him. When she meets with her sister its a happy reunion and she can forget about what their father had done to her. Later she comes to the cafe and ends up spending time with Storm. Can he convince her to stay in town? Will she give them a chance?

This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Storm is the first book in the ‘’Cooper brothers in Alaska’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Harper left her hometown when she was seventeen years old. Years later she visits for the first time in years. Will she find love and stay?
The chemistry between Harper and Storm is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the storyline for this book!
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

Harper left Stone River at 17, mainly to get away from her abusive father. Now years later, her father is dead. She comes back town to reconnect with her sister. Her sister and nieces welcome her. She also meets the single father Storm who runs the town’s café. That gives her more reason to stay. Storm has not found a woman since his wife died. He really wants a partner and a mother for his son. He sees that in Harper as soon as they meet. Sweet story and quick read.

A SWEET STEAMY INSTA LOVE STORY!

Harper returns to Stoney River after leaving with her then boyfriend.

She is anxious to see her estranged sister and nieces but first enters a coffee shop on the docks.

This is where she meets the gorgeous owner Storm who serves her!

The chemistry is rife between them but will they act on it as Harper is back but not for good!

Storm has never felt this strong electrical attraction to a woman since his wife’s passing but will Harper stay and will she accept his son?

A sweet, steamy insta love story that will melt your heart!

GOING BACK HOME

Harper goes back home to see her sister and neices after her father died.
Harper and her dad did not get along.
Storm meets Harper the day she comes in for a drink before heading to her cabin.
Instant attraction.
This is a cute short read that has a lot of emotions.
Great read and waiting for what the author brings next.

I read an early review copy of this book for an honest review.

Returning Home
Harper is headed back home now that her father is gone. Unsure if it’s the right thing to do, she waits to visit her sister and nieces. Trying to settle in she meets Mr. tall, dark and handsome. Storm is definitely the whole package and is definitely as impressed with Harper as she is with him. Can physical attraction and reconnecting with her sister overcome the past pain? Can you live for now and forget the past?

Not for me

One of the things that I enjoy the most are the short readings... Understanding the dynamics, however this reading is very accelerated and at the same time very busy... It is difficult to read in one sitting... And the construction of the relationship between the main characters didn't inspire me at all....

Harper is headed back home after being away for years. She left due to a bad relationship with her father, who is now deceased. She stops in to Storm’s cafe when she enters town. He is a single father and he is instantly drawn to Harper. It’s fast paced instalove but enjoyable.

I usually love short reads, but this one was tough to get through. The pace was sporadic, the story didn't seem to have a real good flow to it. The chemistry between the characters seemed forced/rushed. Editing and overall flow of chapters could also use some work. Overall this was a tough read. . After the death of her abusive father Harper is finally going home to Stony River. Storm is a widower/single father and a local café owner. When Harper enters the café Storm is instantly attracted to her and thinks she's the one he's been waiting for. This is a quick read but it is packed with family drama, likable characters, and an insta love story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Widower Storm risks his heart again to find a HEA

Hailey returns home to Stoney River after years away and meets handsome Storm in the café he owns. The sparks fly but Hailey may not stay until Storm and his son worm their way into her heart. Insta-love connection but they take things slow with Max.

This is a quick read featuring instant attraction between a single dad and a woman returning home after the death of her father. The characters seemed flat and the story lacked intense emotions despite the situation of the main characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
