itsjustsilver is a pretty great writer who I hope writes original work... or at the least completes Dramione works. I can't help but compare Chained Maiden to Closer.

Chained Maiden has 5 chapters at 14,409 words. It's less grand in scale but takes place similarly in an alternative universe with no Voldemort. Although this time it is after Hogwarts. The premise is that Harry and Hermione go to Capella's birthday party. Capella is Draco's cousin. Hermione and Draco meet years after the first time when she is introduced to Draco, a prefect at the time, by Percy Weasley.

She decides not to say hi to him and instead makes some sort of disparaging comment to Ron. At the time, she did it to impress Ron, her crush.

Draco remembers this and decides tonight is the night for payback...

There's just something about a powerful man who's just a little petulant/a child about a girl who doesn't give him the time of the day that sparks a completely irrational obsession of said girl that far outweighs the initial slight.

I felt like this story lost a little steam after the first night of payback. Draco and Hermione both don't have strong motivations. After the initial night, Draco just barges into her work under the pretence of being a potential client, and then explains their situation as dating. Hermione doesn't have a strong dislike of Draco. She's not dating anyone either. She just doesn't like being forced to some guy's attention.

At the end of chapter five, there is a bet that they strike. If after 6 months, Hermione does not tell Draco he has won, he will transfer 3 million Galleons to her. It's not clear what it is that he has won.

I really enjoy the author’s writing style. I wish she continues to write and publish. Would definitely buy her works.

A short yet disturbing Alternate Universe story, in which Draco and Hermione met at Hogwarts but were years apart. When they first met, Hermione was rude to Draco which in turn made him become obsessed with taking revenge.

Be aware the story contains non-con and an older person who takes advantage of his status.
This isn't a love story.

Draco is pretty crazy and delusional in this story and threatens Hermione to get what he wants.
