3.5 ⭐️

First and foremost, follow Katie on TikTok (@pachatzke)

This book was on my radar for a while now and I’m glad I finally got around to it. I do wish it wasn’t so full of cringy instagram caption self help quotes(heavy throughout) BUT it also was written during peak instagram era. (the synopsis states it was written between 2014-2016 so think Snapchat flower crown filter and The Chainsmokers era. You can see where that may be going)
Ill go ahead and say I prefer Katie’s TikTok content if we’re comparing/choosing, but with that said, I can appreciate her willingness to be open and raw and allow us a glimpse into her personal struggles. Social media influencer or not, that can’t be easy.

Although I gave this a 3.5, I look forward to reading more of her work as she is easily relatable with her discussions of womanhood, motherhood, marriage and mental health❤️

✨TLDR; TikTok social media influencer author. Collection of short stories, poems and blog posts from 2014-2016. Heavy on the clichès but relatable nonetheless. Recommended for fans of @pachatzke

Honest and Real

I follow Katie on TikTok and had she not mentioned her book in a video I likely would have never stumbled upon it. This collection of poems, blog posts, and journal entries are so honest and hauntingly beautiful that they make me want to be just as vulnerable myself. Thank you Katie for sharing your world and your life with us.

This hit me in the heart.

I resonated with so many of these stories. More than I'd like to admit. But the words spoke loudly to me. And have made me realize a lot of things. So, Katie, I hope you see this, I thank you for that and I hope you give us more.

We all ponder.

This is a quick book of self evaluation and need. I would read more from this author. She has captured the need within us all, the never ending questioning that most of us face or should.

I absolutely loved these short poems and stories.

There were many of them that felt all too relatable - especially the ones about finding self love or reflecting on why you feel the need for affection from others.

When I began reading this, I was not sure what to expect as poetry and short story is not my typical genre. It was so easy to connect with the author and almost feel seen while reading.

Page by page I was lead through empowerment, heart break, self discovery and love. The author put into words something about my personality that could not be described before and I am proud to say "I am squishy". Thank you for sharing this piece of your heart with us Katie!

This is absolutely amazing I connected with a ton of the stories and poems. Beautifully written, I honestly think this is just as good as Milk and Honey

I LOVE this collection of poetry!

The first poem hooked me in by catching me in the feels. I think I paused and said "me too" at least 10 times while reading this. I felt connected.
