Boy with Boobs!

Sorry, that's what I would normally call a book like this. I think I still do. It's my pejorative for books like this where a male character somehow becomes a girl (physically), but still does all the non-sense that boys do, without really changing their attitudes, actions, spoken words etc.

That said, it works. I liked it. I don't normally like this sort of story.

There are several good things to enjoy about this story:
1) Her internal dialogue is still pretty funny.
2) There's actually a plot. It takes a while to get there, but it's fun until you do.
3) The time-travel aspect really looks to be more than just a convenient way to put the MC in as Mylene. While it's barely mentioned until the end of this volume, I'm pretty sure it'll be coming up later.

I do have a few quibbles:
1) The combat scenes switch from detailed to "glossed over". Sometimes there's lots of information, and sometimes, even in the same fight, information is left out, and it's hard to figure out what actually happened.
2) there was some confusion in the final fight (see spoilers).
3) Almost all the men are horrible creeps, and all the women (with the exception of the original Mylene and one other girl) are angels.
4) The MC seems to come up to speed on how to act as a proper lady, instantly. She might hate it, but can do it, if she puts her mind to it. But I don't think it's that easy.
5) The main villain of this volume has a surprise reveal. But it just didn't work, see the spoilers.

One area I'm curious to see where the author goes is the MC's thoughts on the acquisition of power. Somewhere in the middle she decides she needs more power. And anytime she gets some, she just wants more, that it feeds her need for more. This is the same complaint that some people have about billionaires.

Spoilers:

The one guy that seemed okay, was Prof Perlman, the bad guy. but we barely meet him maybe a few chapters (short ones) before he goes bad. And there's just not enough time to establish him as a good guy, before he's revealed as bad.

The fight with him was very confusing, and the one thing that confused me the most was he "offer my eyes" and proceeded to jab his thumbs into his eyes. But after that, he was still able to see.
If he could target via magic means, which is sorta implied by a later non-nonsensical complaint that he "Can't lock-on", that was never explained.

Solid if not somewhat short read.

The concept is not new but it is different enough. Instead of being in a time loop or given a second chance, this one pushes the line of being reincarnated as the person you most despised. He has the chance to change the world. Could have done with less cussing but it seems like this too was purposeful as his language does shift a little over time. He also seems excessively ornery but as the story progresses he starts smiling and even laughing more and more.

Not bad. I'm not much for the male into a female body trope but this one didn't make it feel weird nor was the MC a perv. I live the violence and character of the MC tho the story kinda drags and is sometime hard to get thru. I hope it gets more interesting as the story goes on as this one had a lot of world building to do. Still love most of the character.
